MULTIPLE POSITION VEHICLE COVER
A cover for a vehicle having a first compartment and a second compartment includes a first section, a second section and an intermediate section. The first section includes at least one connector and is adapted to overlie the first compartment. The second section includes at least one connector and the intermediate section is located between the first section and the second section. In a first position the cover defines a first effective surface area, and the first section is in a first position, the second section is in a first position, and the intermediate section is not parallel to the first section and second section. In a second position, the cover defines a second effective surface area that is less than the first effective surface area, and either or both of the first section and the second section is in a second position.
DUAL MODE, EASY TO SERVICE TARP
A tarp for a vehicle bed is developed for engagement with a reel that is rotated by a motor for rolling and unrolling the tarp across a vehicle bed. When the tarp has been unrolled and fully covers the vehicle bed, the tarp stretches across the vehicle bed and has side edges supported upon the respective upper edges of the bed side walls. The features or structures of the tarp that are kinematic are designed such that they may be permanently attached to the other members in the machine or tarp system, which thereby meets functional needs of the tarp, and provide long term consistent deployment of the tarp covering sections. The material used in this kinematic part of the tarp is chosen such that the life of this component is improved. Additionally, covering sections are provided in this tarp configuration.
BIAS REGULATED ROLLING TRUCK BED COVER
A tonneau system comprising: (a) a plurality of tonneau sections; (b) a retraction system including: (i) a drive roller; (ii) a pulley spaced apart from the drive roller; (iii) a track extending from a location proximate to the drive roller to a location proximate to the pulley; and (iv) a line connected to the drive roller and one or more of the plurality of tonneau sections; wherein the line extends between the one or more of the plurality of tonneau sections and the driver roller when the plurality of tonneau sections are in the closed position, and the line extends from the one or more of the plurality of tonneau sections around the pulley and to the drive roller when the plurality of tonneau sections are in the stored position.
Controller for Tarp System
The electrical system between the battery and the tarp motor uses a significant amount of heavy cabling to deliver the power required. Disclosed are electrical systems to reduce the amount of wire necessary by employing the vehicle body for the electrical ground; momentarily configuring the battery bank to raise the voltage; and a control system to simplify the user interface.
Truck Bed Cover
A truck bed cover includes rails attached along truck bed side tops, slats residing laterally between the rails, end caps attached to opposite ends of each slat sliding forward and rearward in the rails, and flexible joiner hinges attaching consecutive ones of the slats. A cover holder resided between truck sides against a truck cab. The cover slides into the holder for storage, and rolls into a spiral inside the holder. Each slat includes two end walls and a center wall. The center wall includes a center C shaped portion and vertical portions reaching up from the center C shaped portion to a slat top surface and down from the center C shaped portion to a slat bottom surface. The slat top is cambered to reduce or eliminate water pooling on the cover.
TOP DOOR FOR ELECTRIC REFUSE VEHICLE
A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body assembly coupled to the chassis, an electric energy system, and a door system. The body assembly defines a refuse compartment. The body assembly has a cover that at least partially encloses the refuse compartment such that an opening is defined in the body assembly to provide access to the refuse compartment. The door system is coupled to the cover. The door system includes a panel and an electric actuator powered by the electric energy system. The electric actuator is configured to selectively reposition the panel between a first position where the panel extends across the opening and a second position where the panel does not extend across the opening.
Deployable canopies for vehicles
There is provided herein improvements in deployable canopies for utility vehicles having a cabin and a cargo bay. According to one aspect, the system comprises a deployable canopy which has a roof portion and rearward columns extending downwardly therefrom. The roof portion slides along cabin roof tracks and the columns slide along cargo bay edge tracks longitudinally from stowed to deployed positions for selectively enclosing the canopy bay. The deployable canopy may stow side panels horizontally therein, which when the canopy is deployed, the side panels slide therefrom transitioning from horizontally to vertically, typically under automatic mechanical actuator control, using an arrangement of tracks. According to another aspect, the system has a removable cassette that selectively engages longitudinally between forward and rearward builder bars and have longitudinal lateral openings from which side covers unfurl slide within builder bars tracks.
BIAS REGULATED ROLLING TRUCK BED COVER
A tonneau system comprising: (a) a plurality of tonneau sections; (b) a retraction system including: (i) a drive roller, (ii) a pulley spaced apart from the drive roller; (iii) a track extending from a location proximate to the drive roller to a location proximate to the pulley; and (iv) a line connected to the drive roller and one or more of the plurality of tonneau sections; wherein the line extends between the one or more of the plurality of tonneau sections and the driver roller when the plurality of tonneau sections are in the closed position, and the line extends from the one or more of the plurality of tonneau sections around the pulley and to the drive roller when the plurality of tonneau sections are in the stored position.
BOX COVER DEVICE EXTENDED AND RETRACTED IN TRANSMISSION MANNER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
The present invention discloses a box cover device extended and retracted in a transmission manner and a control method thereof. The device comprises a transmission gear, a roller shutter shaft gear and a clutch gear. The transmission gear and the roller shutter shaft gear are arranged oppositely, and a clutching space is reserved between the transmission gear and the roller shutter shaft gear. A middle shaft is arranged at the center line of the clutching space vertical to the center connection line of the transmission gear and the roller shutter shaft gear. The box cover device extended and retracted in a clutch type transmission manner of the present invention is convenient and quick to operate and has high working efficiency
QUICK RELEASE CANISTER
A canister comprising: (a) a space configured to receive a tonneau cover so that the tonneau cover is stored within the canister; and (b) one or more track guides that guide the canister relative to a roller track, a bed of a vehicle, a rail extension, a cap, or a combination thereof; and wherein the one or more track guides assist the canister in being inserted into or removed from the bed of the vehicle.
