A tonneau cover assembly with a top cover connected to a cable tensioning system that eliminates the need for side rails to both locate and tension the top cover. The cable tension system seals out environmental elements and holds the tonneau cover and fabric management bows of the assembly in place. The assembly includes a front attachment assembly and rear attachment assembly connected to cables, where the front attachment provides a forward mounting location and seals a front bow to the vehicle. The rear attachment assembly holds the top cover in a closed tensioned state until the cover is opened by an operator. The tonneau cover assembly reduces weight and complexity, while eliminating the need for side rails.

A container covering deployment system includes a covering deployment device and a pair of worm drive mechanisms. The covering deployment device has a pair of ends pivotally mounted adjacent to opposite sides of a load bed so as to undergo pivotal movement about a transverse axis extending between the opposite sides. Each worm drive mechanism is mounted adjacent to and drivingly coupled with one of the pivotally mounted ends of the covering deployment device so that the worm drive mechanisms are operable to translate rotational drive input motion about respective longitudinal axes extending along the opposite sides and between opposite ends of the load bed into rotational driven output motion about the transverse axis to thereby pivotally actuate the covering deployment device to either draw or withdraw the covering over or from an open-top container on the load bed.

A tarpaulin system for an open cargo hold. The tarpaulin system includes a tarpaulin, a plurality of bows, a plurality of connectors, a cable, and a tail end system. The plurality of connectors connects the plurality of bows to the cable while the tarpaulin is draped atop the plurality of bows. The tarpaulin bracket system allows for quick, and easy, replacement, or fixing, of the plurality of connectors or damaged bows allowing for much easier and efficient replacement while traveling in harsh environments.

A resilient clip can be used for covers for equipment. The resilient clip has a portion that can be inserted into a channel on the equipment, a portion that can be attached to a cover, and a portion that can be used to remove the clip from the channel.

An eyelets for a tarpaulin includes a female eyelet; and a male eyelet coupled to the female eyelet with a tarpaulin interposed therebetween, wherein the female eyelet and the male eyelet are coupled to each other through compression and bonding while the tarpaulin is inserted therebetween and are made of an olefin-based resin.

The tonneau cover opening and locking system, object of the present invention, comprises a profile (10) provided with fastening and fitting components (30), (40), (50) and (80), actuated by rods (70), which contains a compensating mechanism for stretching the tarpaulin and which allows the user to perform the opening movement in an fast, quick and practical way, due to a set of actuators that facilitate user access and allow the easy release of the fixing locks. The system also incorporates solutions that increase the reliability and lifetime of mechanical locking. This new embodiment adds greater practicality to the tonneau cover locking and opening system, ensuring greater efficiency, lifetime, usability and greater flexibility in the opening and closing movement by the user.

The disclosed safety device helps prevents the dog from falling from, being thrown from, or jumping from the back of a pickup truck by securing them with a safely attached net to the truck racks. The net grids (openings) are sized to either allow or prevent the dog from getting just their heads through the net. The net is easily removable for tall cargo and it also allows you to carry cargo that normally needs to be secured to the truck bed itself or in a truck with a cap. A drive assembly mounted on a pivot arm for a cover system having a cover supported on an axle for the cover to be wound and unwound, the drive assembly including a housing, a drive motor including a hypoid pinion gear in meshed engagement with a hypoid ring gear, a transfer gear engaged to the hypoid ring gear for rotation therewith, an output gear in meshed engagement with the transfer gear, and an output shaft engaged to the output gear for rotation therewith, the output shaft engaged to the axle to transmit rotation from the drive assembly to the axle. The hypoid ring gear, the transfer gear and the output gear are sized and arranged so that the output gear overlaps the hypoid ring gear, and so that the hypoid pinion gear and the output gear are on the same side of the hypoid ring gear and laterally overlap each other. The hypoid ring gear, the transfer gear and the output gear rotate about mutually parallel axes, and the housing has a height in a direction parallel to the parallel axes of three inches or less.

A resilient clip can be used for covers for equipment. The resilient clip has a portion that can be inserted into a channel on the equipment, a portion that can be attached to a cover, and a portion that can be used to remove the clip from the channel.
