TRUCK COVER SYSTEM
A truck cover system with a rail defining a cover slot that couples to a cover that extends over a bed of a truck. A clamp system couples the rail to a truck wall. The clamp system includes a first clamp frame that couples to the truck wall, and the first clamp frame includes first and second ends with respective first and second sets of teeth. The first set of teeth engages rail teeth on the rail, and a second clamp frame couples to the rail and to the first clamp frame to secure the rail to the truck. The second clamp frame includes third and fourth ends with respective third and fourth sets of teeth. The third set of teeth couples to the truck wall and the fourth set of teeth couples to the second set of teeth of the first clamp frame.
Drive Assembly For A Cover System For Open-Topped Containers
A drive assembly mounted on a pivot arm for a cover system having a cover supported on an axle for the cover to be wound and unwound, the drive assembly including a housing, a drive motor including a hypoid pinion gear in meshed engagement with a hypoid ring gear, a transfer gear engaged to the hypoid ring gear for rotation therewith, an output gear in meshed engagement with the transfer gear, and an output shaft engaged to the output gear for rotation therewith, the output shaft engaged to the axle to transmit rotation from the drive assembly to the axle. The hypoid ring gear, the transfer gear and the output gear are sized and arranged so that the output gear overlaps the hypoid ring gear, and so that the hypoid pinion gear and the output gear are on the same side of the hypoid ring gear and laterally overlap each other. The hypoid ring gear, the transfer gear and the output gear rotate about mutually parallel axes, and the housing has a height in a direction parallel to the parallel axes of three inches or less.
Integrated rod attachment top
A cover assembly (10) for a vehicle having an integrated fiber windshield rod (14) that is connected to a windshield area and held in place using windshield footman loop portions (22) eliminating the need for a windshield channel or windshield header. The windshield footman loop portions (22) have a plate (24) with a snap stud (26) for attaching a snap eyelet (32) of a web strap (30) to secure the fiber windshield rod (14) in place, which is connected to a fabric cover. The cover assembly (10) has a plurality of straps (16, 20) to secure the sides and rear of the cover assembly to sport bars (18, 21) of the vehicle. The fabric cover assembly (10) creates a sun screen and/or soft top liner effect over at least the vehicle cockpit and is storable in the installed position while the vehicle roof hard top roof assembly or soft top roof assembly is also in installed position on the vehicle.
FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATE CONNECTORS
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed including a connector for a flexible substrate including a first connector piece including a first plurality of through holes and a second connector piece including a second plurality of through holes, the second connector piece disposable in opposition to the first connector piece to align the first plurality of through holes and the second plurality of through holes to define, via the first plurality of through holes and the second plurality of through holes, a grommet and a plurality of fastener receivers. The connector also includes a channel, defined at least in part by the first connector piece, extending across the first connector piece.

A fastening device includes a base including a top surface; a first fastening field extending from the top surface of the base and including a plurality of first fastening elements, each of the first fastening elements including a fastening feature, the fastening feature of at least some of the first fastening elements extending in a first direction; and a second fastening field extending from the top surface of the base and comprising a plurality of second fastening elements, each of the second fastening elements including a fastening feature, the fastening features of all of the second fastening elements extending in a second direction that is angled with respect to the first direction, the second fastening field divided from the first fastening field by a dividing line.

TONNEAU COVER SYSTEM WITH SIDE RAIL MOUNTED LATCHES AND A REAR HEADER MOUNTED RELEASE ACTUATOR
A latch can be movably mounted to each of the side rails for movement between an unlocked position and a locked position. A release actuator can be movably mounted to the rear header to extend adjacent both latches for movement between a non-release position and a release position. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is in the non-release position, each latch engages the rear header in the locked position to lock the rear header and side rails together. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is moved toward the release position, the release actuator engages both latches and moves the latches to the unlocked position to unlock the rear header from both of the side rails.
Adjustable tensioning mechanism for a soft roll up tonneau cover
A tonneau cover system for covering a space. The system includes a frame having rails. A cover is disposed over the frame for covering the space. A block, a receiver, an anchor and a latch are all coupled to the frame. A mechanism is disposed between the block and the receiver and provides adjustment to the frame by moving the receiver, the anchor and the latch as a unit between an initial adjustment position and a final adjustment position. The mechanism also provides tension to the cover when the latch is engaging the frame.
Cable tonneau cover
A tonneau cover assembly with a top cover connected to a cable tensioning system that eliminates the need for side rails to both locate and tension the top cover. The cable tension system seals out environmental elements and holds the tonneau cover and fabric management bows of the assembly in place. The assembly includes a front attachment assembly and rear attachment assembly connected to cables, where the front attachment provides a forward mounting location and seals a front bow to the vehicle. The rear attachment assembly holds the top cover in a closed tensioned state until the cover is opened by an operator. The tonneau cover assembly reduces weight and complexity, while eliminating the need for side rails.
ROOF SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A detachable roof system for a convertible vehicle (10) having an open state in which a vehicle cabin is open and a closed state in which the vehicle cabin is closed includes a front frame (30) which is removably mountable to the vehicle at the front of the vehicle cabin and a rear frame (60), separate from the front frame (30), which is removably mountable to the vehicle at the rear of the vehicle cabin. The rear frame includes an integral panel (76) which forms a rear window of the vehicle when the rear frame is mounted on the vehicle. The roof system includes a hood (34) for covering the cabin in the closed state; wherein the rear frame (60) provides a support for the hood (34) which spans the rear frame (60) when the hood (34) covers the cabin.
