Folding/retractable pickup truck box cover
A retractable pickup truck box cover system includes a pivot joint with improved strength, durability, and manufacturability between panels of a panel assembly of the cover system. A sealing system between the panels and along ends of the panel assembly provides improved weather resistance to the cover system. A lateral support system provides resistance to binding loads when opening and closing the panel assembly. The lateral support system may also aid installation of the cover system. A ramp adjustment system allows fine tuning of the ramps that guide folding and unfolding of the panel assembly. An improved locking system and the pivot joints allow more compact storage of the panel assembly. The improved locking system includes lock rods that engage rails of the cover system. Connecting structures connect adjacent panel pairs when the cover system is deployed and do not connect the adjacent panels when the cover system is stowed. A seal of the sealing system includes angled and/or transvers ribs to support a bulb of the seal when pivotally scrubbing against the panels. The seal includes a plurality of interior portions that selectively compress and bulge between the panels. The seal includes a coating that may provide stiffness, wear resistance, hardness, and/or reduced friction. A clamping system allows installation of the cover system without drilling holes and includes built-in fixturing for locating clamps and thereby locating the cover system on the pickup truck box.
BUCKLE LOCKING MECHANISM FOR THE TONNEAU COVER OF PICK-UP TRUCKS (II)
Provided is a buckle locking device for the tonneau cover of pick-up trucks (II), which mainly comprises a load-bearing cross bar, a slider, a handle, a buckle block, a slide fixing block, a T-bar and an extruded aluminum frame, characterized in that: when the load-bearing cross bar and the slider is pressed by the handle of the buckle locking mechanism for buckling, it can generate a downward pulling force, which can be transmitted by the load-bearing cross bar to force the whole tonneau cover frame to generate a downward pressure, so that it can cover the truck bed tightly. Moreover, through the design of the slider mechanism, the T-bar can offer better stability and better positioning. When the buckle locking mechanism is not used, it can also be hidden inside the groove of the slider.
LATCHING MECHANISMS FOR TONNEAU COVERS
A truck cover system comprises a side rail configured to be coupled to a side wall of a bed of a truck; a cover removably attached to the side rail and configured to cover the bed of the truck; a latching mechanism attached to the cover and configured to releasably engage the side rail; and a driving assembly configured to drive the latching mechanism. The driving assembly comprises a mount plate coupled with the side rail through a latch attachment; a driving cylinder rotatably coupled with the mount plate; a driving ring releasably coupled with the driving cylinder and configured to rotate together with the driving cylinder; a torsion spring interposed between the driving ring and the mount plate and configured to be driven by the driving ring; and a handle coupled with the driving cylinder and configured to rotate together with the driving cylinder and the driving ring.
Molded surface fastener
A vehicle cover assembly comprising; a flexible cover; one or more side rails; and a fastener assembly that is secured to a vehicle bed comprising; a cover fastener that is on one or more edge regions of the flexible cover; and a side rail fastener with one or more rows of fasteners comprising; a plurality of dual hooks on the base that releasably connect with the cover fastener of the flexible cover; and a plurality of spacers between the plurality of dual hooks.
Rolling tarp enclosure system
A tensioning mechanism for a movable, tarp enclosure system including first, second, and third arms, and first and second support brackets which are all connected together in a substantially triangular, adjustable configuration in which the first arm is rotatable relative to support brackets and when the first arm is rotated, the first bracket moves linearly along the first arm toward and away from the second bracket. The second arm has one end thereof pivotally connected to the first bracket such that the first end of the second arm moves together with the first bracket, the third arm has an engagement member provided on one end thereof which is configured to operatively engage a vertically intermediate portion of an end one of the bows, and the third arm has a length adjusting mechanism for adjusting a length thereof.
LOCKING SEAL DEVICE
A locking device for a covering member to provide sealing in storage, cargo, and other personal applications is disclosed. The locking device comprises a pipe member having predetermined length is configured to have a transverse opening. The covering member is slidably attached to a bead insert positioned inside the pipe member via the transverse opening, wherein the covering member is configured to securely wrap the contents of a storage space. The locking device is configured to enable a climate controlled environment for the wrapped contents of the storage space. A locking assembly and method of using the same is also disclosed.
MOUNTING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TONNEAU COVERS
An embodiment provides a truck cover system that includes a side rail, a cover, and a latching mechanism. The latching mechanisms include a housing attached to the cover, a latch extending through a first end of the housing and configured to engage with a bottom portion of the side rail, a cap attached to a second end of the housing, a plunger attached to the latch and having a first plunger end partially extending through an opening of the cap, an anchor element attached to the first plunger end preventing the first plunger end from entering the housing, and a spring wrapped around the plunger. When the spring is compressed, the latch may disengage with the side rail, and, when the spring is uncompressed, the latch may engage with the side rail.
REMOVABLE CONVERTIBLE TOP FOR CONVERTIBLE VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a removable convertible top (100) for a convertible vehicle, comprising: a flexible water-tight canvas (110) provided with longitudinal reinforcements (120), the ends of which are suitable for resting on the bars (210, 220, 230) of a vehicle; curved rigid side reinforcements (130, 140), arranged on the opposite sides of the canvas (110), parallel to the longitudinal reinforcements (120), and respectively provided with sets of hooks (150) suitable for engaging with the complementary coupling structures (250) provided on the vehicle, said canvas (110) and said side reinforcements (130, 140) interlocking such as to automatically tension the canvas (110) by elastically tensioning the portion of the canvas (110) located between the two sets of hooks (150), when said two sets of hooks (150) interlock with coupling structures (250) provided on the vehicle.
