POP-UP SHELTER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLES
An apparatus and method for implementing a vehicle sun and rain shield that converts to a pop-up sheltered compartment. The apparatus semi-permanently attaches to the roof of any vehicle. The device is easy to install and does not interfere with the parking and storage profile of the vehicle. The device is sized to fit within the perimeter of any vehicle roof when deployed. The device is easily opened and closed to provide added sun and rain protection. The device has moveable panels that extend beyond the vehicle roof to provide sun and rain protection. The moveable panels deflect in response to contact. The moveable panels also lock in a position perpendicular with the plane of the roof to provide the pop-up sheltered compartment. The sheltered compartment is useful for storing items or providing temporary shelter for users.
Method for reducing opening/closing time of opening/closing-type roof
A second step of opening a closed openable/closable roof starts before a first step of opening a closed storage compartment cover finishes, so that a distance between portions of the storage compartment cover and the openable/closable roof facing each other is shorter at a point in time when the storage compartment cover is fully opened in the first step than at any other point in time. A fifth step of closing the open openable/closable roof starts before a fourth step of opening the closed storage compartment cover finishes, so that a distance between portions of the storage compartment cover and the openable/closable roof facing each other is shorter at a point in time when the storage compartment cover is fully opened in the fourth step than at any other point in time.
METHOD OF ENHANCING RAIN AND SUN PROTECTION USING A RAIN AND SUN SHIELD FOR GOLF CARTS
A method for enhancing the rain and sun protection of a golf cart roof using a rain and sun shield device. The rain and sun shield for a covered golf cart is semi-permanently attached to the roof of a golf cart. The device is easy to install; will retrofit to any standard golf cart roof; does not interfere with the parking and storing profile (i.e. are sized to fit within the perimeter of any standard golf cart roof when in the closed position) of a fleet of golf carts. The device is easily opened and closed to provide the golf cart user with added sun and rain protection when in use.
Convertible top and vehicle having such a convertible top
Convertible top linkage arrangements on both of its two sides relative to the top's vertical longitudinal center plane pivotally mounted on a fixed main bearing, fastenable to a vehicle front wind apron by a front bow, connecting the arrangements to each other, both arrangements having a roof link whose front end reaches to the front wind apron in a closing position, the front bow fastenable to a deployment link on each side, the deployment link pivotally mounted on the respective roof link so that a fold section, which can be pivoted between a closing position, in which the deployment links extend along the roof links, and an opening position, in which the deployment links are pivoted with respect to the roof links, is formed by the front bow and the deployment link, the fold section taking its closing position with respect to the roof links when pivoting the top linkage.
Cover attachment structure
Disclosed is a structure of a cover which allows a first link 25 to be pivotally coupled to a front roof panel via a stepped rivet 27, and a cover 31 to be pivotally coupled to the stepped rivet 27 via a first stepped screw 33. An overhang portion 27e of the stepped rivet 27 is joined to the front roof panel with a periphery of a front attachment hole 23c of the front roof panel being sandwiched between the overhang portion 27e and a large diameter portion 27c inserted in an insertion hole 25a of the first link 25 to pivotally support the first link 25. The first stepped screw 33 has a threaded portion 33d fastened into a fastening hole 27f of the stepped rivet 27, and a base end 33c inserted in a first through hole 31b of the cover 31 to pivotally support the cover 31.
Convertible top having a main link abutment arrangement
The invention relates to a convertible vehicle having a top linkage which can be displaced between a closed position and a storage position, and a linkage arrangement on both of its two sides relative to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the top. The linkage arrangement includes a main multi-joint arrangement pivotally mounted on a corresponding main bearing permanently mounted to the vehicle. The main multi-joint arrangement includes two main links, at least one of which rests against an abutment arrangement of the corresponding main bearing when in the closed position of the top so that the main bearing is in its a normal position. The abutment arrangement includes a displaceable abutment element which can be displaced between a rest position and an active position, in which the main link resting against the abutment arrangement is pivoted from the normal position to a deviated position.
The device is easy to install; will retrofit to any standard golf cart roof; does not interfere with the parking and storing profile of a fleet of golf carts.
SOFT FRONT COCKPIT COVER
A soft panel top assembly for a vehicle in sealing engagement with a hard top portion of a roof. The soft panel top assembly has a fixed portion attached to the vehicle and a lightweight pivotal portion that folds back to provide the occupant a quick and easy open air effect. Two door rails of the soft panel top assembly are connected to the vehicle. Two side rail linkage assemblies are attached to header, which is secured to a windshield frame when in a closed position, and are connected at pivot points created with a bracket attached to the door rails to allow the pivotal portion to pivot to an open position. The soft panel top assembly includes a rear header that is lightweight and engages with the existing seal of the hard top roof portion to provide a weatherproof seal.
CANOPY SYSTEM FOR WORK MACHINE
A canopy system for a work machine includes a canopy assembly movable between a lowered position and a raised position. The canopy assembly includes a main canopy panel and a canopy wing, such that the canopy wing is movable relative to the main canopy panel between an extended position and a retracted position. The canopy system also includes a sensor system that generates a detection signal indicative of a presence of an object proximate to the work machine, and a controller communicably. The controller includes a memory and a processor. The processor receives the detection signal from the sensor system, determines a location of the object based on the detection signal, and generates a first control signal to partially move the canopy assembly towards the lowered position and away from the operator station or partially move the canopy wing towards the retracted position.
