Systems and methods for a truck box cover
10183560 · 2019-01-22 ·

Systems for a truck box cover and more particularly to a truck box cover system configured to transform to suit multiple load types and still protect the load from outside elements. The truck box cover system has a plurality of electrically controlled telescoping columns and sides made of compliant material for raising and lowering the cover and maintaining a closed configuration.

Pickup cover system
10160299 · 2018-12-25 ·

A pickup cover system includes a vehicle that has a cab and a bed. A lid unit is movably coupled to the bed. A pair of lifting units is provided. Each of the lifting units is coupled between the bed and the lid unit. Moreover, each of the lifting unit selectively urges the lid unit upwardly and downwardly with respect to the bed. A wall unit is movably coupled to the lid unit. The wall unit is selectively positioned in a stored position. The wall unit is selectively positioned in a deployed position. Thus, the wall unit extends between the lid unit and the bed when the lid unit is positioned in the open position.

A LID ASSEMBLY FOR A TRUCK BED
20180326826 · 2018-11-15 ·

A lid assembly for a truck bed (40) with two opposite vertical side walls (41, 42), comprising a lid (10) adapted for covering the truck bed, said lid (10) being movable in a first direction (A) between an open and closed position, two scissor hinges (20) adapted for mounting the lid (10) to the truck bed (40), each of said scissor hinges (20) having a first hinge member (21) adapted for being slidably and pivotably connected to a respective side wall of the truck bed at a first end (25) and being pivotably connected to the lid at a second end (27), and a second hinge member (22) which is slidably and pivotably connected to the lid at a first end (26) and adapted for being pivotably connected to the respective side wall at a second end (24), and an opening element (2) adapted for, upon actuation, applying a force to at least one of the first ends (25, 26) of the hinge members (21, 22) in a second direction (B), which extends in an angle () of between 85 and 90 degrees with respect to the first direction (A), to move the lid (10) in the first direction (A).

Modular Truck Cap Apparatus

An apparatus for covering at least a portion of a cargo area of a vehicle, the apparatus includes a frame; one or more side panels attached to the frame; one or more quarter panels attached to the frame; a rear panel; a roof panel supported by the frame; and a lifting mechanism configured to reposition the roof panel relative to the frame and/or the one or more side panels. The lifting mechanism has a handle, a lifter, and a track supporting the lifter. Movement of the handle causes the track to move in a first direction, which causes the lifter to slide in the track in a second direction to raise and/or lower the lifter, which causes the roof panel to be moved or repositioned.

CARGO BED COVER FOR A VEHICLE

A cargo bed cover for a cargo bed includes an inner support mountable within the cargo bed; a cap movable between a retracted position in which the cap is received at least partially into the cargo bed and around the inner support and an extended position in which the cap extends at least partially above the inner support; a frame mountable to the cap; a telescoping structure mountable to the frame and the inner support; and a drive operable to move the cap between the retracted position and the extended position.

Expandable cover assemblies for cargo compartments of motor vehicles

Presented are expandable compartment cover assemblies for motor vehicles, methods for making and methods for using such cover assemblies, and motor vehicles with expandable tonneau cover assemblies. Presented, for example, is an expandable cover assembly for a motor vehicle with a cargo compartment. The expandable cover assembly includes a frame section that releasably attaches to the vehicle body, and extends across some or all of the cargo compartment. The frame section has a central aperture that extends therethrough. A canopy is seated within this central aperture and at least partially surrounded by the frame section. A flexible joint attaches the canopy to the frame section such that the canopy selectively transitions between a collapsed state, whereat the canopy is a first height from the compartment floor of the cargo compartment, and an expanded state, whereat the canopy is a second height, greater than the first height, from the compartment floor.

INTEGRATED BED OPTIMIZATION SYSTEM
20240359543 · 2024-10-31 ·

An integrated bed optimization system comprises a dynamic frame which is integrated into the front and sides of a pickup truck bed. The frame can be raised and lowered to expand the bed's usable volume and to optimize cargo storage options. The frame comprises T-Track beams which permit the user to customize the bed by allowing the user to secure one or more attachments to the frame. The attachments can include tiedown points, storage racks, tonneau covers, camper shells, and other modular accessories.
