The disclosure is related to a flywheel energy storage system comprising a casing, a shaft, a flywheel, and at least one electric motor assembly. The shaft is rotatably disposed in the casing. The flywheel comprises a hub and an annular part, the shaft is disposed through the annular part, the annular part is fixed to the shaft via the hub, and the annular part has at least one cavity. The electric motor assembly is accommodated in the cavity and comprises a first motor rotor and a motor stator. In the cavity, the first motor rotor is fixed on the shaft, and the motor stator is fixed to the casing and located between the first motor rotor and the annular part.

A power apparatus includes a drive motor, a motor shaft mechanically connected to a wheel of a vehicle, an engine, a crankshaft mechanically connected to the motor shaft and configured to output torque of the engine, a clutch disposed on a power transmission path between the crankshaft and the motor shaft, a controller configured to start-control the engine with the torque of the drive motor, and a magnetic deceleration mechanism which reduces torque of the drive motor necessary for starting the engine by magnetically reducing the rotational speed of the crankshaft during start control. When starting the engine, the controller excites the magnetic deceleration mechanism in a state where the clutch is released.
Electric drive apparatus for vehicle
A vehicle electric drive apparatus is provided with a single hydraulic pump and left-side and right-side drive units. The left-side drive unit includes a left-side electric motor and a left-side transmission mechanism. The right-side drive unit includes a right-side electric motor and a right-side transmission mechanism. One of rotary shafts of the left-side transmission mechanism and one of rotary shafts of the right-side transmission mechanism constitute a pair of pump-drive rotary shafts. The single hydraulic pump is connected to the pair of pump-drive rotary shafts through respective one-way clutches, and is to be driven by one of the pump-drive rotary shafts that is rotated at a speed higher than the other of the pump-drive rotary shafts, so as to output a hydraulic pressure.

The present disclosure relates to a transmission for a vehicle having a power source, the transmission comprising: an input member for receiving power from the power source; an output member for outputting power to at least one component of the vehicle; at least one power split gear set having a plurality of members and operatively connected between said input member and said output member; an electromagnetic variator having a stator, an outer rotor and an inner rotor; wherein the inner rotor is at least partially received in the outer rotor and the electromagnetic variator is configured to provide variable torque transmission ratios between the outer rotor and inner rotor; and wherein said first and second rotors are each operatively connectable to different ones of said members of said power split gear set and are each operatively connectable to the input member to be driven thereby.

Twin motor drive system for hybrid electric vehicle
Methods and systems are provided for a hybrid electric vehicle including a front-wheel drive system and a rear-wheel drive system. In one example, the rear-wheel drive system includes an internal combustion engine configured to drive rear wheels of the vehicle, and the front-wheel drive system includes a first electric motor and a second electric motor mounted directly to opposing sides of the engine. The first electric motor is coupled to a first reduction gearbox to drive a first front wheel of the vehicle, and the second electric motor is coupled to a second reduction gearbox to drive a second front wheel of the vehicle.
Method for starting a combustion engine in a hybrid driveline
A method is provided to start a combustion engine in a hybrid powertrain, comprising a gearbox with input and output shafts; a first planetary gear, connected to the input shaft and a first main shaft; a second planetary gear connected to the first planetary gear and a second main shaft; first and second electrical machines respectively connected to the first and second planetary gears; one gear pair connected with the first main shaft, and therefore with the first planetary gear and the output shaft; and one gear pair connected with the second main shaft. The method comprises: a) connecting an output shaft of the combustion engine with the input shaft of the gearbox, via a coupling device arranged between the output shaft and the input shaft; and b) controlling the first and second electrical machines to start the combustion engine.
Engine and electric motor assembly, and vehicle driving device
An engine-and-electric-machine assembly, including an engine (8) and an electric machine (9). The crankshaft (7) of the engine has an extension section (7-3) that extends to the exterior of the engine, and the rotor (3) of the electric machine is mounted to the extension section. The present disclosure improves the integration level of the engine-and-electric-machine assembly, and reduces the weight and volume of the engine-and-electric-machine assembly. A vehicle driving device including the engine-and-electric-machine assembly is also disclosed.
