Method and control unit for operating a power-shift transmission
A method for operating a power shiftable transmission of a motor vehicle, the transmission including a control unit, an input shaft, an output shaft, a gear set, and multiple shift elements, the method including transmitting, with the control unit, a request for a reduction of a drive torque acting on the input shaft for carrying out an upshift, and determining, with the control unit, whether the reduction is completely possible, partially possible, or impossible based on a signal. When the reduction is completely possible, the method includes controlling, with the control unit, a torque transmission rate of a shift element of the multiple shift elements to be engaged during the upshift according to a first way. When the reduction is partially possible or impossible, the method includes controlling, with the control unit, the torque transmission rate according to a second way, the second way differing from the first way.
Drive system for a vehicle
A drive system for a vehicle includes a first planetary gear set including a first carrier, a second planetary gear set including a second carrier, and a third planetary gear set including a sun gear, a ring gear, a plurality of planetary gears coupling the sun gear to the ring gear, and a third carrier rotationally supporting the plurality of planetary gears. The third planetary gear set is directly coupled to the first carrier and the second carrier. The drive system further includes a first electromagnetic device coupled to the first planetary gear set, a second electromagnetic device coupled to the second planetary gear set, and an output shaft coupled to the first planetary gear set.
Vehicular gear system friction reduction
An automotive axle includes a housing including gears and a bath lubricating the gears, the bath including gear oil and about 0.1 to 5 wt. % secondary alcohol ethoxylate based on total weight of the bath such that during automotive operation at temperatures less than a threshold, reverse micelles form to trap air bubbles in the bath, emulsifying the bath, and at temperatures greater than the threshold, the reverse micelles dissipate.

Control device for hybrid vehicle
An MG1 torque at a time of decreasing an engine speed of an engine is made larger when a turbocharging pressure by a turbocharger is higher than when the turbocharging pressure is lower. In this way, even if the losses of pumps of the engine differ due to the remaining turbocharging pressure during a transition of stopping the engine in turbocharging, it is possible to appropriately reduce the engine speed. Therefore, when the engine is being brought to a stop, it is possible to appropriately suppress vibration generated in the vehicle.
Hybrid Drive Train for a Motor Vehicle
A hybrid drive train for a motor vehicle includes a drive shaft that is connectable to an internal combustion engine, a first input shaft connected to the drive shaft or connectable to the drive shaft via a first clutch, a second input shaft, an output shaft arrangement, a first electric machine connected to the second input shaft, and a transmission arrangement that includes: (i) a first gear set plane with at least one shiftable gear set via which the first input shaft is connectable to the output shaft arrangement; (ii) a second gear set plane with at least one shiftable gear set via which the second input shaft is connectable to the output shaft arrangement; and (iii) a third gear set plane with at least one gear set via which the output shaft arrangement is connected to a power distribution unit configured for driving driven wheels.
