Opening/closing apparatus for fuel tank
An opening/closing apparatus for a fuel tank of a vehicle includes: a fuel passage forming portion; an insertion-side opening/closing valve mechanism; a fuel tank-side opening/closing valve mechanism; a liquid discharge path; and an opening/closing valve mechanism that opens and closes the liquid discharge port by a valve body disposed in the fuel passage forming portion, and that includes a moving body movable from a first position where a closing force exerts on the valve body to close the liquid discharge port to a second position where the closing force decreases, the moving body positioned at the first position in a state where the vehicle is stopped, and moving from the first position to the second position when receiving an inertial force due to traveling of the vehicle.
SADDLE RIDING VEHICLE
A saddle riding vehicle includes: a fuel tank supported by a body frame; a filler opening provided in an upper surface of the fuel tank; a tank cover covering the upper surface of the fuel tank; and a fuel sump collecting fuel overflowing from the filler opening. The saddle riding vehicle includes a shroud covering a side surface of the fuel tank. The fuel sump is placed around the filler opening and under the tank cover. The fuel sump includes a drain pipe discharging fuel downward. The drain pipe extends between the tank cover and the shroud.
FUEL FILLER ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
An assembly according to the present disclosure includes a bezel having a first aperture therethrough. The bezel has a first face and a second face. The second face is provided with a plurality of retention loops. The assembly includes an elongate member disposed at least partially within the first aperture. The elongate member is generally fixedly positioned relative to the bezel. The assembly further includes a movable closeout feature having a second aperture therethrough. The elongate member is disposed at least partially within the second aperture. The movable closeout feature is provided with a plurality of tabs. Respective tabs of the plurality of tabs are disposed in corresponding respective loops of the plurality of retention loops. The movable closeout feature is repositionable relative to the bezel by contact with the elongate member.
EXPANDED FUEL FILL PIPE AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A fuel filler neck assembly and a method of making a funnel for a fuel fill tube assembly includes forming a tube blank with a first punch tool, forming the tube blank with a second punch tool, forming the tube blank with a third punch tool, forming the tube blank with a fourth punch tool, and forming the tube blank with a trim ring and trim insert.
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE
A fuel supply device includes an inlet pipe, a first end of the inlet pipe configured to be connected to an oil supply port and a second end of the inlet pipe configured to be connected to a fuel tank and an air flow path, an upstream side end of the air flow path configured to be open to the outside and a downstream side end of the air flow path configured to be connected to the fuel tank. The air flow path includes a negative pressure valve configured to move a valve body to open a valve port when the pressure in the fuel tank becomes a negative pressure and an air filter disposed upstream of the negative pressure valve.
Fuel tank fill assembly
A fuel tank fill assembly includes a fuel fill tube adapted to be coupled to a fuel tank and configured to receive fuel discharged by a pump nozzle. The assembly also includes a tube mounting bracket for mounting the fuel fill tube in a stationary position in a vehicle to conduct fuel to the fuel tank.
Filler pipe
A filler pipe includes a nozzle guide that is mounted on an inlet part of the filler pipe and holds a nozzle end part of a fueling gun. The nozzle guide includes a nozzle guide mounting part, which is mounted on the inlet part of the filler pipe, a nozzle guide holding part, which is positioned in a distal end of the nozzle guide, and holds the nozzle end part of the fueling gun, and a nozzle guide connecting part that connects the nozzle guide mounting part and the nozzle guide holding part with each other. The nozzle guide holding part has a plurality of projecting parts that are able to abut on an outer surface of a nozzle of the fueling gun. The nozzle guide is mounted on the inlet part of the filler pipe, at the nozzle guide mounting part, by swaging or spot welding.
Filler tube and manufacturing process for the same
A filler tube, which is capable of satisfying required functions suitably in compliance with the bellows and non-bellows cylindrical base while securing weld strength and fuel-permeation resistance property in the weld face, is provided. A filler tube includes a non-bellows cylindrical base with a total thickness of from 2 to 4 mm, a bellows with a total thickness of from 0.5 to 3 mm, and a flange having a total thickness of from 3.5 to 5 mm, and including an end face to be welded to a fuel tank. The non-bellows cylindrical base, the bellows, and the flange include inner layers formed so as to have a thickness accounting for from 40 to 60% of the total thicknesses, and formed of high-density polyethylene (or HDPE) serving as the major constituent, intermediate layers exhibiting fuel-permeation resistance property, and outer layers protecting the intermediate layers.
CAPLESS GASOLINE ONBOARD REFUELING VAPOR RECOVERY SYSTEM
A capless ORVR system providing sealing and reducing hydrocarbon outlet and having a wave seal, a primary flapper, and a secondary flapper for preventing outlet of hydrocarbons by means of surrounding the nozzle while the nozzle is being placed, allowing uni-directional flow to continue and preventing backflow when there is pressure in the opposite direction from within, and allowing the fuel to exit through the filler neck by being bent outwards.
CLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR FUEL-TANK FILLER NECK
A fuel tank filler apparatus comprises a capless filler neck closure adapted to be mated with an outer end of a fuel-tank filler neck. The capless filler neck closure may be removable from the fuel-tank filler neck for service or repair.
