Fuel supply apparatus
A fuel supply apparatus includes a filler neck that is configured to provide a fuel passage communicating with a filler port, and a breather port that is protruded from the filler neck to be connected with a breather pipe. At least part of a valve that is configured to allow for recirculation of the air from the breather piped to the fuel passage is placed inside of the breather port. This allows for downsizing of the configuration in the vicinity of the breather port in the filler neck.
Fueling filler neck device formed with a first resin layer that is stacked on a harder second resin layer
This fueling device comprises a filler neck formed by stacking a first resin layer made of a first resin and a second resin layer made of a second resin that is harder than the first resin, such that the second resin layer is provided on an inner side of the first resin layer; and a mounting member mounted to a fuel injection opening side of the filler neck from outside. The first resin layer has a higher impact resistance than the second resin layer. The second resin layer has a higher fuel permeation resistance than the first resin layer. The filler neck includes an engagement element that is provided on the fuel injection opening side of the filler neck and is extended radially outward from the second resin layer to pass through the first resin layer. The mounting member is engaged with the engagement element to be mounted to the filler neck.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR A FUEL SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for a fuel system including a fuel filler pipe, an anti-siphoning device, and a fuel tank. In one example, a manufacturing method may include internally welding an anti-siphon device to a fuel filler pipe, applying a metal coating to the welded device and pipe including the internal welds, and externally welding the coated pipe including the device to a fuel tank. The metal coating to the filler pipe, the device and the internal welds may be applied by an electroless plating process but the electroless plating may not be applied to the external welds.
Fuel supply apparatus
An object is to provide a fuel supply apparatus that is configured to enhance the strength of a fitting portion of a filler neck body that is fit in a tube. The fuel supply apparatus (FS) comprises a filler neck body (110) that is configured to include a hollow fuel passage-forming portion (110a) arranged to define a fuel passage (100P) which a supplied fuel passes through, and a fitting portion (111) configured to be fit in a tube (40) arranged to introduce the supplied fuel to a fuel tank (FT); a nozzle guide (150) that is placed inside of the fuel passage-forming portion (110a) and is configured to introduce a fueling nozzle (NZ) for supplying the fuel; and a first rib (151) that is provided at a position opposite to the fitting portion (111) to be placed between the filler neck body (110) and the nozzle guide (150) and to be in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the nozzle guide (150).
Tank system
A tank system which prevents problems caused by electrostatic charging during a fueling sequence. The tank system includes a filling pipe, a filling hose which leads to a fuel tank, and a support sleeve, composed of an electrically conductive plastic material, in abutment with the filling pipe and the filling hose to thereby connect the filling pipe to the filling hose in an electrically conductive manner.
EXTENSION TUBE INTERNAL CHECK VALVE
A fuel filler tube housing assembly constructed in accordance to one example of the present disclosure includes a fuel filler neck and a filler extension tube. The fuel filler neck housing includes a first mounting structure operable to support a check valve. The fuel filler extension tube is fixed to the fuel filler neck housing and has a second mounting structure substantially similar to the first mounting structure and thereby also operable to support the check valve.
Fuel inlet
A fuel inlet includes: an inlet pipe to form a path to guide fuel to a fuel tank; a breather tube to form a path to guide vapor in the fuel tank toward a distal end portion of the inlet pipe; and a retainer provided at a distal end portion of the inlet pipe and including: an attachment and detachment mechanism to attach and detach a fuel filler cap; a restriction mechanism to restrict a distal end position of a fuel filling gun; and an air vent hole to allow passage of the vapor supplied from the breather tube toward the distal end portion of the inlet pipe. The retainer includes a first component including the attachment and detachment mechanism and a second component secured to the first component and including the restriction mechanism. The air vent hole is a gap formed between the first component and the second component.
FUEL SUPPLY APPARATUS
A fuel supply apparatus comprises a filler neck body including a hollow fuel passage-forming structure configured to form a fuel passage and a fuel vapor port branched off from the fuel passage-forming structure; and a nozzle guide formed in a tubular shape to introduce a fueling nozzle. The nozzle guide includes a vapor flow path portion configured to introduce fuel vapor flowing into the fuel vapor port in a tank direction. The vapor flow path portion has a slow-down portion configured to slow down the fuel vapor introduced in the tank direction.
FUEL SUPPLY APPARATUS
A fuel supply apparatus comprises a filler neck body including a fuel passage-forming structure configured to form a fuel passage and a fuel vapor port branched off from the fuel passage-forming structure; and a nozzle guide located inside of the filler neck body and formed in a tubular shape. A vapor flow path is formed to be continuous with the fuel vapor port and introduce fuel vapor flowing into the fuel vapor port in a tank direction. The configuration of the fuel supply apparatus enables the fuel vapor circulated from a fuel tank to the fuel supply apparatus to smoothly join with the flow of liquid fuel supplied from a fueling nozzle.
CLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR FUEL TANK FILLER NECK
A fuel tank fill apparatus according to the present disclosure is adapted to conduct fuel toward the fuel tank of a vehicle. The fuel tank fill apparatus includes a fuel-tank filler neck for conducting fuel to the fuel tank and a capless closure assembly that couples to the fuel-tank filler neck in such a way so as to be removed for serviceability.
