POWER TRANSFER DEVICE FOR VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD OF POWER TRANSFER DEVICE
An electronic control unit executes gradual reduction control when a friction clutch is to be maintained in a fully engaged state such that an input rotary member and an output rotary member rotate integrally. As a result, a motor current supplied to a motor is adjusted to a lower current value. Thus, an average current value of the motor current supplied to the motor when the friction clutch is to be maintained in the fully engaged state is appropriately reduced.
FOUR-WHEEL DRIVING APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A four-wheel driving apparatus for a vehicle may include a planetary gear set including a sun gear, a carrier, and a ring gear, and provided so that the sun gear is coupled to a transmission output shaft; a counter shaft provided in parallel to the transmission output shaft; a sleeve included in the counter shaft, receiving operating force of a shift fork to slide along a longitudinal direction of the counter shaft, and provided to be selectively coupled to any one of the sun gear and the carrier of the planetary gear set according to a sliding position; a center differential connected to a front differential through a front output shaft and connected to a rear differential through a rear output shaft; and a transfer gear device disposed to connect between the counter shaft and any one of the front output shaft and the rear output shaft.
Speed-responsive mechanical range lock for a transfer case
A transfer case for a motor vehicle. An input is rotatable about an axis to receive torque, an output is rotatable about the axis to transmit torque, and a planetary gear set is rotatable about the axis and operatively coupled between the input and the output. A shift sleeve circumscribes and is axially slidably carried along the axis, and a shift sleeve lock is automatically engageable with the shift sleeve responsive to the transfer case exceeding a predetermined rotational speed, to prevent axial movement of the shift sleeve above that speed. A related method is also provided.
Two wheel drive low range devices and systems
Removable devices and systems for operating the four wheel drive (4WD) system of a tow vehicle having an electronically controllable part time 4WD system including a selectable 4WD low range mode are described. The removable device may comprise a first interface for coupling the removable device to a selector, the selector providing an indication of a desired operating mode for the 4WD system; a second interface for coupling the removable device to a controller-area network bus of the tow vehicle; a memory storing vehicle control codes; and at least one controller communicatively coupled to both the first interface and the second interface. The removable device, and system, may allow a vehicle operator to operate the tow vehicle in two-wheel drive low range mode.
Transmission arrangement and method for agricultural vehicle
A tractor transmission including a range gearbox having an input shaft driven from a prime mover through a main clutch, an output shaft, an auxiliary drive shaft driven from the prime mover independently of the input shaft, and a torque fill drive system operative between the auxiliary drive shaft and the range gearbox output shaft including a torque fill clutch operative to transmit torque from the auxiliary drive shaft to the output shaft of the range gearbox when the torque fill clutch is engaged, so that when drive to the input shaft is interrupted to change gear, the torque fill clutch is engaged to transfer drive from the auxiliary drive shaft to the output shaft and maintain momentum of the vehicle. The system may transmit torque to the output shaft through a lay shaft of the range gearbox or through a ground speed PTO drive.
Drive switching apparatus
A drive switching apparatus includes an output member connected to a drive switching member and displacing the drive switching member to three shift positions by being rotated, a deceleration mechanism decelerating rotation of an input portion connected to an electric motor and outputting the rotation to an output portion, a rotation absorption mechanism including an elastic member interposed between an input element connected to the output portion and an output element connected to the output member, the rotation absorption mechanism absorbing rotation of the input element in a case where rotation of the output element is restricted during the rotation of the input element, and a switch operation portion provided at the output element, the switch operation portion turning a switch on and off according to a rotational position of the output member in order to detect the shift positions of the drive switching member.
ALL-WHEELS DRIVE ARRANGEMENT WITH LOW INPUT TORQUE ESPECIALLY FOR THE SKID-STEER LOADERS
In an all-wheel drive arrangement with low input torque especially for the skid-steer loaders controlled by a control unit, made up of battery, frequency converter, electric joystick and/or electro-hydraulic switchgear, both sides of the vehicle control include at least two wheels, each wheel connected to a planetary gearing. The gearing equipped with the infinite gear member (e.g. belt, chain) transfers the torque from the electric motor to each wheel on one side of the vehicle controlled, whereby the planetary gear directly drives the particular wheel.
Power transmitting component with fork actuator
A power transmitting component having a actuator with a lead screw, which is driven by a motor and a transmission, a pusher assembly driven by the lead screw, and a clutch fork. Translation of the pusher coordinates movement of the clutch fork along its axis.
Method for a synchronous range shift on an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case with an electronically controlled engine and transmission
A method for shifting between a low speed range and a high speed range for a two-speed transfer case in a four-wheel drive vehicle includes determining a target transmission gear ratio and a desired transfer case range based on the current vehicle speed and the initial transfer case range. The transmission is shifted to the target transmission gear ratio when it is determined that the vehicle speed is in an appropriate range. The transfer case input torque is reduced to a minimum value, and the transfer case is shifted to neutral. The method further includes adjusting the engine speed and transmission gear setting to control the transmission output shaft speed to a desired range. The transfer case is shifted from neutral to the desired transfer case range when the transmission output shaft speed is within the desired range of transmission output shaft speed.
