The plurality of planetary gear speed changer devices the plurality of clutch mechanisms, and the traveling speed changer device are accommodated in a transmission case.
Hydraulically actuated transfer case
A drive torque transfer case is provided. The transfer case includes an input shaft, an output shaft, a gear assembly coupled to the input shaft, and a range clutch assembly coupled to the output shaft. The range clutch assembly includes a clutch member and a multi-piston actuator configured to receive a pressurized transmission fluid for selectively axially translating the clutch member to engage a component of the gear assembly for transmitting a drive torque from the input shaft to the output shaft. The multi-piston actuator includes an internal piston having a first annular surface area A1 and a third annular surface area A3, and an external piston having a second annular surface area A2 and a fourth annular surface area A4. The A1 and A2 are in hydraulic communication with a first hydraulic chamber, and A3 and A4 are in hydraulic communication with a second hydraulic chamber.
Transfer unit for a motor vehicle
A transfer includes: an input shaft; a motor; first and second output shafts; first and second planetary gear devices; an input switching unit; a transmission switching unit; and a distribution switching unit. Further, connection states of the input shaft, the first and the second planetary gear devices, the first and the second output shafts can be switched to a plurality of modes including first, second, and third modes by the input switching unit, the transmission switching unit, and the distribution switching unit.
Power transfer assembly with self-locking worm and spur gears
A power transfer assembly for a vehicle including an input shaft, at least one output shaft, and at least one clutch configured to perform at least one of changing a gear ratio between the input shaft and the output shaft, and coupling the input shaft with a second output shaft of the at least one output shaft. An actuator assembly is configured to activate the at least one clutch. The actuator assembly has a motor with an output drive, a worm gear coupled with the output shaft, and a spur gear meshed with the worm gear and coupled with the at least one clutch for activating the at least one clutch. The worm gear and the spur gear have opposite gear hands.
Three speed transfer case for four wheel drive vehicles
A multi-speed transfer case equipped with a planetary reduction gearset and a range clutch disposed between an input shaft and an output shaft. A clutch actuation mechanism controls actuation of the range clutch to establish distinct ratio drive connections between the input shaft and the output shaft.
GEAR UNIT FOR A VEHICLE AND POWERTRAIN WITH SUCH A GEAR UNIT
A gear unit has a differential with two planetary gearsets and gearset elements. A first gearset element of the first planetary gearset is connected to an input shaft, a second gearset element of the first planetary gearset is connected to a first output shaft, a third gearset element of the first planetary gearset is connected to a first gearset element of the second planetary gearset, a second gearset element of the second planetary gearset is connected to a housing, and a third gearset element of the second planetary gearset is connected to a second output shaft. A first output torque is transmittable to the first output shaft. A second output torque is transmittable to the second output shaft. An actuation mechanism is arranged between the first and second output shafts for a co-rotationally fixed connection between the output shafts when the actuation mechanism is actuated.
FRONT-REAR WHEEL DRIVING FORCE DISTRIBUTION DEVICE AND FRONT-REAR WHEEL DRIVING FORCE DISTRIBUTION DEVICE CONTROLLER
A front-rear wheel driving force distribution device includes a center differential and a limited slip differential. The limited slip differential includes a first clutch, a second clutch, a first piston, a second piston, and a one-way clutch provided between the first clutch and a rear propeller shaft. If the second clutch is engaged by the second piston, the propeller shaft on the rear side rotates at increased speed as compared with a case where the first clutch is engaged by the first piston. The one-way clutch couples the first clutch and the rear propeller shaft if a number of rotations of the first clutch is same as or higher than a number of rotations of the rear propeller shaft, and idles if the number of rotations of the first clutch is lower than the number of rotations of the rear propeller shaft.
