20170013239 · 2017-01-12 ·

The rendering control unit controls the laser light source unit in such a way that a display image is rendered in a range smaller than a scan range of the scan mirror unit based on input display image data. The detection unit detects a range to be a reference for setting a laser beam output position for adjusting an output of the laser beams based on the display image data. The output adjusting control unit controls the laser light source unit in such a way that the laser beams for adjusting an output of the laser beams are output at a position outside the range where the display image is rendered in the scan range of the scan mirror unit, and the position is based on the range detected by the detecting unit.

The present invention provides a display in which it is easy to ascertain a planned travel path. This display control device displays, in a first display region, a real-view-following navigation image that follows a specific superimposition target in a real view so as to maintain the positional relation with the specific superimposition target. When it is inferred that visibility in a forward view from a vehicle will be impaired, the display control device displays, in a second display region that has a vertical center which is disposed lower than the vertical center of the first display region, a bird's-eye-view navigation image which includes, in a diagonal view from above, at least a map image that is of the surrounding area of the vehicle and a path image that overlaps with the map image and that indicates a planned travel path.

DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE, METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM RECORDED WITH PROGRAM

A display control device including a display control section. In cases in which a change amount of a position of a target object as represented by position information output from a detection section for detecting target objects, or a physical quantity derived from this change amount, is a first specific value or lower, the display control section displays a mark in a display area of a display device at a position corresponding to a position of the target object as represented by the position information. In cases in which the change amount or the physical quantity has exceeded a second specific value that is the first specific value or greater, the display control section limits movement of a display position of the mark in the display area of the display device.

The present invention is to achieve a HUD display that is easy for an occupant to see while reducing a sense of discomfort by limiting obstruction of actual scene visibility. A display control device 700 includes a control unit 701 that controls a visibility level and a display state of a display object, wherein, in a case of performing a low-visibility process for setting the visibility level of the display object to a second visibility level lower than a first visibility level, the control unit performs a display object recognizability improvement process that includes at least one of the following: increasing the number of display elements 300, 302, 304 forming the display object compared to the case in which the first visibility level is set; and expanding the size of some or all of the display elements forming the display object compared to the case in which the first visibility level is set.

ENHANCED REALITY SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
20250187437 · 2025-06-12 ·

An enhanced reality system for a vehicle having an enhanced reality headset with a headset display, control unit, and power source. The enhanced reality headset displays a video of an upcoming road segment with one or more pieces of supplemental display information. One potential drawback of such a system involves blind spots within a display area, referred to as visual impairment zones, which are unique to each driver. The enhanced reality system and method disclosed herein are configured to administer a vision test for each driver, identify any visual impairment zones unique to that driver, determine if any pieces of supplemental display information fall within a visual impairment zone and, if so, move the supplemental display information out of the visual impairment zone so that it is more visible to the driver. An enhanced reality profile may be maintained for each driver.
