Intelligent Seat Systems
An ISS is a seating system that actively adjusts to improve an occupant's comfort, performance, and safety in a specific driving environment. The ISS determines the occupant's posture, position on the seat surface, and/or physiological state, for example, by applying a machine vision process. The ISS can further determine a driving environment. The ISS adjusts its settings and settings of the vehicle according to one or more factors such as an occupant's posture, the occupant's physiological state, the occupant's preferences, and/or the driving environment. The ISS can include a state machine that determines a current state and determines if a change has occurred such that the system should shift to another state that best suits this change. The ISS makes adjustment according to system settings associated with the best suitable state.
BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION DETECTION DEVICE AND VEHICLE INCLUDING SAME
To realize a biological information detection device capable of obtaining accurate biological information. The biological information detection device includes a radio wave sensor that detects a body surface displacement of a human body; a first vibration sensor that is disposed together with the radio wave sensor at a position away from the supporting surface that supports the human body; a second vibration sensor that is disposed closer to the supporting surface than the first vibration sensor; and a signal processing unit that generates a biosignal of the human body based on the body surface displacement obtained by the radio wave sensor, a first vibration component obtained by the first vibration sensor, and a second vibration component obtained by the second vibration sensor.
METHOD FOR DETECTING AN INAPPROPRIATE POSTURE OF AN OCCUPANT SEATED ON A VEHICLE SEAT
The present disclosure relates to a method for detecting an inappropriate posture of an occupant seated on a seat of a vehicle, the method comprising the following steps: after a first defined duration following detection of the presence of an occupant on the seat, for each pressure sensor of the detection system: a) determining a characteristic value representative of the capacitive values measured by the pressure sensor considered over a first period, b) determining a permissible variation range defined for the sensor considered based on the characteristic value, c) determining the absence of pressure on a zone on the basis of the permissible variation range defined for the sensor considered and the capacitive values measured over a subsequent period, generating a warning signal when an absence of pressure has been determined on at least one zone.
VIBRATING WARNING SYSTEM FOR SIGNALING DIRECTION INDICATORS
A device (e.g., a car seat cover) provided with a vibrating warning system for signaling a condition of direction indicators has a seat cover, a support base, a plurality of flat bases on right and left sides of the support base, each one provided with at least one vibrating motor, and an electronic control unit provided with a connector for connecting the electronic control unit to a car control unit, and configured to receive by the car control unit a signal relating to the condition of the direction indicators, and to operate as a function of the signal the vibrating motors associated to the flat bases arranged on a same side as an active direction indicator. A plurality of pressure sensors connected to the electronic unit is provided at a perimeter of the support base, each one configured to transmit a signal indicating presence or not of weight of a driver on a corresponding position of the seat cover.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion and a seatback and capable of assuming a use state in which a user can be seated thereon and a stowed state in which the seatback has pivoted forward from the use state to overlap with the seat cushion. The vehicle seat includes an article placement part which, in the stowed state, protrudes more forward than the seatback and is provided with a support surface that faces upward. The article placement part is preferably an ottoman supported by the seat cushion. The ottoman is preferably pivotable relative to the seat cushion. Also, in the stowed state, the ottoman is preferably pivotable relative to the seat cushion.
Seat reclining position control device
A seat reclining position control device includes: a seat on which an occupant of a vehicle sits; an adjustment part configured to adjust an angle of a backrest of the seat; a sleep state detection unit configured to detect a sleep state of the occupant; a control unit that operates the adjustment unit to control the angle; and a vehicle interior detection unit configured to detect a vehicle interior state of the vehicle. The control unit implements a seat angle control to adjust the angle of the backrest for the occupant in the sleep state based on the vehicle interior state to a suitable sleeping angle suitable for sleeping when the sleep state detection unit detects the sleep state of the occupant.
Vehicle blind-spot reduction device
A vehicle blind-spot reduction device includes side-view mirrors on sides of a vehicle, an actuator configured to move an optical display of each of the side-view mirrors, a detector configured to detect a display position of the optical display, a surrounding environment information acquirer configured to acquire environment information on surrounding of the vehicle, a moving object detector configured to detect a moving object running beside the vehicle on the basis of the surrounding environment information, a blind spot setter configured to set a blind spot of each of the side-view mirrors on the basis of the display position of the optical display, and a display surface adjuster. Based on determining that the moving object has entered the blind spot, the display surface adjuster causes the actuator to operate to adjust the display position of the optical display.
SEAT ASSEMBLY SENSORS AND CONTROLS
A system includes a seat configured to receive a passenger, a sensor system configured to detect passenger characteristics including one or more forces or pressures of the passenger against the seat and a contact area of the passenger across the seat, memory circuitry storing instructions thereon, and processing circuitry. The instructions, when executed by the processing circuitry, are configured to cause the processing circuitry to receive the passenger characteristics from the sensor system, and perform an action based on the passenger characteristics.
SIMPLIFIED MANUFACTURING SENSOR IMPLEMENTATION
A sensing system determines movement and position of passengers and objects within a vehicle or in another location. The sensing system is able to transmit a plurality of signals during a transmission period and use the sensed signals during a frame in order to create different heat maps that represent movement and position of person or an object during an integration period. The flexibility and capability of the sensing system and its antennas enable the sensing systems to be placed within or adjacent to components in such a manner as to reduce construction costs.
SEAT SYSTEM
To propose a new value for a seat, a seat system which can make notification of advertising information fit for an occupant seated on the seat with a sensor included therein is provided. The seat system includes: a seat which includes a seat body, and a sensor provided in the seat body and configured to acquire information for use in identifying a physical state of an occupant seated on the seat body; a server having pieces of advertising information stored therein; and a terminal capable of acquiring the information from the sensor and communicating with the server. The terminal or the server is configured to choose, based on the information or an evaluation value based on the information, a piece of advertising information related to the information or the evaluation value from among the pieces of advertising information, and notify the occupant of the piece of advertising information.
