ADJUSTABLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
A seat assembly is provided with a seat bottom and a seat back mounted adjacent the bottom. A first actuator is operably connected to the seat back for applying a first pressure to a seated occupant at a first height. A second actuator is laterally offset from the first actuator and operably connected to the seat back for applying a second pressure to the occupant at a second height. The first and second actuators are operable to provide an asymmetric comfort position to the occupant. The asymmetric comfort position may set the first pressure different than the second pressure or set the first height different than the second height.
Apparatus and method for controlling vehicle seat
Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for controlling a vehicle seat so as to control a seat back and a neck pillow based on a sound. The apparatus includes the vehicle seat installed in a vehicle and including a seat back and a neck pillow, a detector for detecting vehicle information and seat information, and a processor connected to the vehicle seat and the detector, wherein the processor determines a vehicle state and a seat sitting posture based on the vehicle information and the seat information, analyzes a sound being reproduced in the vehicle, determines a haptic pattern and a haptic pressure based on the vehicle state and the seat sitting posture, and the analysis of the sound, and controls the seat back and the neck pillow based on the determined haptic pattern and haptic pressure to provide a haptic effect.
Systems and methods for reconstruction of a vehicular crash
A system for notifying emergency services of a vehicular crash may (i) receive sensor data of a vehicular crash from at least one mobile device associated with a user; (ii) generate a scenario model of the vehicular crash based upon the received sensor data; (iii) store the scenario model; and/or (iv) transmit a message to one or more emergency services based upon the scenario model. As a result, the speed and accuracy of deploying emergency services to the vehicular crash location is increased. The system may also utilize vehicle occupant positional data, and internal and external sensor data to detect potential imminent vehicle collisions, take corrective actions, automatically engage autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle features, and/or generate virtual reconstructions of the vehicle collision.
Vehicle motion control apparatus and method thereof
An apparatus and a method for controlling motion of a vehicle to improve turning motion performance are provided. The processor determines a riding position of a user, receives information about a steering angle of the vehicle, and outputs a vehicle control signal with regard to turning motion performance according to at least one of a phase difference between a yaw rate and lateral acceleration or a lateral slip angle with respect to the riding position, based on the received steering angle. A controller controls the vehicle in accordance with the vehicle control signal. The apparatus provides a passenger of the vehicle with optimal turning motion performance.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING A CONTROL INSTRUCTION FOR CONTROLLING AT LEAST ONE OCCUPANT SETTING FOR A SEAT LOCATION IN A VEHICLE
The disclosure relates to generation of an occupant settings profile for an occupant in a vehicle. A corresponding method for providing a control instruction for controlling at least one occupant setting for a seat location in a vehicle can comprise receiving, by a system comprising a processor, audio data based on speech of an occupant inside the vehicle, identifying, by the system, a seat location of the occupant inside the vehicle based on the received audio data, identifying, by the system, an occupant settings profile indicative of one or more occupant settings of the occupant based on a comparison of the received audio data with stored audio data associated with different occupant settings profiles, and providing, by the system, the control instruction for controlling the at least one occupant setting for the identified seat location of the occupant based on the identified occupant settings profile.
SYSTEM FOR DETECTING DEFORMATION OF CUSHION PAD AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention provides a cushion pad with improved durability without feeling of a foreign object. The present invention thus provides a system for detecting a deformation of a cushion pad, comprising; the cushion pad comprising a magnetic elastomer in which magnetic filler is dispersed in an elastomer and an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) is 0.5 to 1.0 m, and a soft polyurethane foam which is integrated with the magnetic elastomer by adhesion, and a magnetic sensor that detects a magnetic change caused by a deformation of the cushion pad. The present invention also provides a production method thereof.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADJUSTING THE POSITION OF A WHEELCHAIR OCCUPANT
A system for adjusting a position of a wheelchair occupant includes a sensor configured to generate sensor data based on the position of the occupant, an adjustment system coupled to a support point on the wheelchair and configured to be coupled to a support point on the occupant's clothing, and a processing circuit. The adjustment system is configured to extend and retract at least one adjustment element to adjust the position of the occupant, and the processing circuit is configured to determine the position of the occupant in the wheelchair based on the sensor data and adjust the adjustment element based on the determined position of the occupant.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ALIGNING VEHICLE COMPONENTS
Some embodiments are directed to an indicator assembly for indicating an orientation between a vehicle seat back and a seat bottom. The indicator assembly can include an outer plate assembly that is configured to be supported by the seat bottom, and a movable plate that is movably supported by the outer plate assembly. A biasing device can apply a biasing force to bias the movable plate toward the seat back when the outer plate assembly is supported by the seat bottom to thereby define a projecting portion of the movable plate. The biasing device can enable the movable plate to move upon application of a force to the projecting portion that is greater than the biasing force. An indicator can indicate a relative orientation between the seat back and the seat bottom based on the amount of movement of the movable plate.
MULTI DIRECTIONAL DRIVE MODE FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A vehicle including a sitting area, a transceiver and a processor is disclosed. The sitting area may be configured to swivel about a sitting area axis. The transceiver may be configured to receive a user request to move the vehicle in a first direction. The processor may be configured to obtain the user request and determine a sitting area orientation based on the first direction responsive to obtaining the user request. The processor may further cause the sitting area to swivel to the determined sitting area orientation. The processor may be additionally configured to obtain a user input to maneuver vehicle movement in the first direction responsive to causing the sitting area to swivel to the sitting area orientation, and cause the vehicle to move in the first direction based on the user input.
