In-seat experience system

An in-seat experience system includes: a seat which includes a seat body, a sensor, and a seat controller allowed to acquire a measurement value from the sensor; an experience instruction device connected to the seat controller, configured to notify an occupant seated on the seat body a motion instruction and to store user identification information; and a server capable of communicating with the experience instruction device. The experience instruction device makes a determination based upon a measurement value of the sensor as to whether or not a first condition is satisfied, and to transmit a result of the determination to the server when at least the first condition is satisfied, and the server is allowed to increase a point score stored for the corresponding user identification information with a condition that the result of the determination that the first condition is satisfied is received from the experience instruction device.

SEATBACK ANTI-ROTATION MECHANISM

A seat system including a seat with a seat bottom having a seat bottom frame and a seatback having a seatback frame pivotably supported by the seat bottom frame. The seat system also includes a spool rotatably mounted to the seat bottom frame and a strap retractably extendable from the spool and fixed to the seatback frame.

SEAT

Disclosed is a seat including: sensors which includes a first cushion sensor provided at a seat cushion in a position corresponding to buttocks of an occupant, a second cushion sensor provided at the seat cushion and located farther frontward than the first cushion sensor, a first back sensor provided at a seat back and located in a lower position thereof, and a second back sensor provided at the seat back and located above the first back sensor; and a controller connected to the sensors and thereby allowed to acquire pressure values from the respective sensors. The controller is configured to identify the motion of the occupant based on outputs of at least two sensors of the first cushion sensor, the second cushion sensor, the first back sensor, and the second back sensor.

Seat reclining position control device

A seat reclining position control device includes: a seat on which an occupant of a vehicle sits; an adjustment part configured to adjust an angle of a backrest of the seat; a sleep state detection unit configured to detect a sleep state of the occupant; a control unit that operates the adjustment unit to control the angle; and a vehicle interior detection unit configured to detect a vehicle interior state of the vehicle. The control unit implements a seat angle control to adjust the angle of the backrest for the occupant in the sleep state based on the vehicle interior state to a suitable sleeping angle suitable for sleeping when the sleep state detection unit detects the sleep state of the occupant.

SIMPLIFIED MANUFACTURING SENSOR IMPLEMENTATION

A sensing system determines movement and position of passengers and objects within a vehicle or in another location. The sensing system is able to transmit a plurality of signals during a transmission period and use the sensed signals during a frame in order to create different heat maps that represent movement and position of person or an object during an integration period. The flexibility and capability of the sensing system and its antennas enable the sensing systems to be placed within or adjacent to components in such a manner as to reduce construction costs.

Coarse to fine movement detection in vehicles

A system and method for identifying the presence of an occupant in a vehicle. The system includes a first sensor positioned within a seating area of a seat and having a corresponding sensitive zone passing through the seating area vertically, and a second sensor positioned within a back rest area of the seat and having a corresponding sensitive zone passing through a chest area of an occupant horizontally. The first sensor is adapted to sense coarse movements adjacent to and farther from the sensor while the second sensor is adapted to capture both coarse and finer movements, such as breathing and heartbeats.

Apparatus and method of controlling the same comprising a camera and radar detection of a vehicle interior to reduce a missed or false detection regarding rear seat occupation

Disclosed herein is an apparatus for rear seat detection. The apparatus may include: an indoor camera having a field of view for a vehicle interior and configured to provide image data; an indoor radar having a sensing area for the vehicle interior and configured to provide radar data; a controller including a first processor and a second processor. The first processor configured to obtain information on a change in a front passenger seat and a rear seat of a vehicle based on processing the image data The second processor configured to obtain motion information on an object in the rear seat of the vehicle based on processing the radar data. The first controller may identify a change of a detection area in the rear seat based on the information on the change in the front passenger seat and the rear seat of the vehicle, and determine whether a human is seated in the rear seat of the vehicle based on the motion information on the object in the detection area where the change is identified.

DRIVING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM, DRIVING ASSISTANCE DEVICE, DRIVING ASSISTANCE METHOD, AND PROGRAM

A driving assistance device is provided that is configured to: determine whether or not a current situation is a risk situation where there is a possibility of collision with an object, based on an output signal of an external sensor detecting an environment around the vehicle; execute assistance control for the vehicle to avoid the collision with the object, based on determining that the current situation is the risk situation; determine whether or not a preparatory action for avoiding the collision has been performed by a driver, based on an output signal of a motion sensor that detects the driver's motion; and change execution timing of the assistance control depending on whether or not the preparatory action has been performed within a given determination time period.

SEAT ADJUSTMENT APPARATUS OF VEHICLE AND VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME

The present disclosure provides a seat adjustment apparatus of a vehicle and a vehicle including the same. The vehicle includes a first row of seats and a second row of seats positioned behind the first row of seats, the first row of seats includes a first seat and a second seat, and a passage for passenger traffic is provided between the first seat and the second seat, and the seat adjustment apparatus of the vehicle includes: a vehicle interior passenger sensor that detects a passenger on the first row of seats; and a vehicle exterior passenger sensor that detects a passenger outside the vehicle attempting to board the vehicle, in which, when it is determined that there is a passenger attempting to go to the second seat through a front of the first seat according to the detection results of the vehicle interior passenger sensor and the vehicle exterior passenger sensor, the first seat is configured to move backward.
