A process includes forming within a three-dimensional (3D) target region of the CNM cushion a columnar distribution of non-solidified conductive polymer, and converting the columnar distribution of non-solidified conductive polymer into a columnar compressible pressure varying electrical conductance structure. The columnar distribution of non-solidified conductive polymer extends along a column axis. Forming the columnar distribution includes injecting into at least a portion of the 3D target region a liquid carrying conductive polymer in suspension. The columnar compressible pressure varying electrical conductance structure includes mutually separated masses of solidified conductive polymer respectively supported by mutually separated flexible fibers of the compressible nonwoven material. Optionally, forming the columnar distribution of non-solidified conductive polymer includes a first injection followed by partial drying, and a second injection.

Conveyance seat

A conveyance seat includes therein a pad material and a connecting member for connecting electrical devices. The pad material includes a first pad material and a second pad material which is provided on a back surface side of the first pad material and is disposed to overlap the first pad material. A front surface of the second pad material is provided with an accommodation groove which is provided to be recessed in a thickness direction of the pad material and accommodates the connecting member. The accommodation groove extends to be long along the surface of the second pad material. The accommodation groove includes a latching portion which is provided at a predetermined position in an extension direction, protrudes from one side portion toward the other side portion of the accommodation groove, and latches the connecting member.

A device for determining seat occupancy includes a vibrator which is provided on a seat back of a vehicle seat and outputs a vibration signal, a detection unit that is provided on a seat bottom portion of the vehicle seat, receives the vibration signal transmitted through an object located on the vehicle seat, and generates a counting signal corresponding to the received vibration signal, and a processor that is configured to determine whether a vehicle occupant is seated on the vehicle seat by analyzing the counting signal.

A seat cushion includes a foam body comprising a first surface and a second surface facing opposite the first surface. A plurality of protrusions extend outwardly of at least one of the first surface and the second surface, and a plurality of cutouts are spaced from the plurality of protrusions. Each cutout extends through a thickness of the foam body from the first surface to the second surface, and at least one cutout is associated with at least one of a sensor and a trim component.

A conveyance seat includes a detection sensor that detects a biometric signal of a seated occupant; and an attachment member for attaching the detection sensor to a second pad material. An accommodation portion that is provided to be recessed in a thickness direction of a pad material and that accommodates the detection sensor via the attachment member is formed on a front surface of the second pad material. The attachment member includes a recess that accommodates the detection sensor, an outer peripheral portion extending outward from the recess and disposed on the front surface of the second pad material, and a locking portion that is provided on the outer peripheral portion, and that locks to a locked portion formed in the accommodation portion.

A suspension membrane of a vehicle seat support element includes a fabric made of plastic material extending between a first face and a second face and having at least a first layer made of plastic material that has an outer face forming the first face and an inner face opposite the outer face, and a second layer made of plastic material that has an outer face forming the second face and an inner face opposite the outer face, the inner faces of the first layer and of the second layer being applied against one another. The suspension membrane further includes at least one electrical circuit having at least one electrical component and a power lead to the component, extending between a part of the inner faces of the first layer and of the second layer.
