Vehicle Seat
A wire harness connected to a sensor is positioned on a back surface of a pad of a vehicle seat supported by a panel. The vehicle seat includes a panel; a pad supported by the panel; a skin material covering a front surface of the pad; and a sensor provided between the front surface of the pad and the skin material for acquiring information on a seat occupant, wherein the pad is provided with a through hole passed from the front surface of the pad to a back surface of the pad, and a recess formed in the back surface of the pad and connected to the through hole, the wire harness connected to the sensor extending in the through hole and the recess.
PASSENGER HEADREST HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
A vehicle headrest height adjustment system includes a vehicle seat having a seat back, a seat base and a headrest. A sensing device generates a signal when the vehicle seat is unoccupied by an occupant. A headrest displacement mechanism is connected to the headrest and reversibly displaces the headrest between a headrest extended position and a headrest retracted position. The headrest displacement mechanism lowers the headrest to the headrest retracted position when the signal is received from the sensing device that the vehicle seat is unoccupied by the occupant defined when the occupant is not present.
Preconditioning surfaces using intelligent thermal effectors
A thermal conditioning system for conditioning a seat surface of a vehicle or other surface. The system includes a thermoelectric Peltier device with a main side and a waste side. A flap adjusts a proportion of an airflow between a main side airflow path and a waste side airflow path based on whether the surface is occupied, the power provided the thermoelectric Peltier device, the flow rates along the airflow paths, the power provided to a blower, and/or other factors.
