A rotatable surface apparatus for a vehicle includes a frame including a contact surface, a cover having at least a first surface portion and a second surface portion, a rotating mechanism rotating the cover to selectively position not more than one of the first surface portion and the second surface portion over the contact surface of the frame simultaneously, and a sanitizing mechanism sanitizing the first surface portion and the second surface portion of the cover when positioned within a predetermined proximity of the sanitizing mechanism.

SEAT ROTATING DEVICE

A seat rotating device includes a base plate, a rotating plate, a coupling unit, and a drive unit. The coupling unit includes a link, a guide having a linearly extending shape, and a moving body that is movable along the guide and supports the rotating plate. The drive unit can move the moving body along the guide. The link includes a fixing end and a rotating end. The guide has a shape extending linearly along a diameter of a virtual circle, the virtual circle having length twice the distance between the fixing end and the rotating end as its radius, and having the fixing end as its center. The moving body moves the rotating plate along the guide while relatively rotating the rotating plate with respect to the moving body.

Vehicle seat with torsion bar spring

A vehicle seat includes a back frame having opposing side members and side brackets pivotally connected to the opposing side members about a pivot axis such that the back frame is pivotal between a reclined position and a folded position. A spring-assist system is configured to urge pivoting of the back frame towards the folded position. The spring-assist system including a torsion rod spring extending between the side members at a location that is radially outboard of the pivot axis to generate an off-axis moment that urges the back frame towards the folded position.
