A vehicle and a control method of the vehicle are provided. The vehicle includes at least one touch input device that is mounted within the vehicle and configured to sense a touch input of a user based on an electrode pattern mounted on a base thereof by forming an electrode on an injection object. Additionally, a controller operates apparatuses mounted within the vehicle based on the sensed touch input.

A vehicle seat includes a seat bottom and a seat back coupled to the seat bottom to extend upwardly away from the seat bottom and move relative to the seat bottom. The vehicle seat is coupled to a vehicle floor for movement relative to the vehicle floor between a use arrangement and a storage arrangement.
Passenger seat pairing system
A system for pairing a personal electronic device of a passenger with a passenger seat in a vehicle, and for allowing the personal electronic device to control passenger in-seat functions and features such as entertainment systems in vehicles. The system comprises an on-board management system for installation in a vehicle. The on-board management system is configured to receive pairing information from the personal electronic device via a wireless communication link. The on-board management system can then pair the personal electronic device to the passenger seat and authorize the personal electronic device to control one or more passenger seat functions associated with the passenger seat. A device pairing software application is stored on a non-transitory carrier and is configured to program the personal electronic device to transmit the pairing information to the on-board management system, and transmit a command or control instruction to control one or more passenger seat functions.

Equipment and processes generate a seating solution by obtaining occupant data, calculating body dimensions from the occupant data, and calculating a best-fit body arrangement for an occupant. Occupant data may be obtained in various ways using available computational devices and software or by manually measuring the relevant dimensions on the occupant. A user interface for inputting occupant metrics and/or occupant measurements may be provided in a mobile terminal included in the vehicle or separate from the vehicle, thus giving users increased flexibility while maximizing simplicity and usability for the user or other personnel obtaining the data. Once an occupant's best-fit body arrangement is determined, it may be altered by changing the predetermined criteria to achieve optimum comfort, safety, and therapeutic benefit as well as used for providing improved comfort on a continuous basis and/or in response to detected or predicted vehicle, road, or atmospheric conditions.

A vehicle seat operation feedback and control system with a seat and an electronic display screen and a processor configured to receive a signal from the seat corresponding to an inoperable, almost inoperable, or undesired condition and provide feedback on the display screen of the inoperable, almost inoperable, or undesired condition.
Methods and Systems for Enabling Gesture Control for a Vehicle Feature
A vehicle gesture system includes a processor connected to a transceiver and programmed to detect a wireless device associated with a vehicle feature settings interface for a first vehicle feature. The processor is further programmed to detect the wireless device based on received user input at the vehicle feature settings interface of the first vehicle feature. The processor is further programmed to control a setting for the first vehicle feature based on received data associated with one or more gestures made using the wireless device.

A seat control interface mechanism for a vehicle seat may comprise an interface control surface having at least one interface that allows an occupant of the vehicle seat to activate seat controls; and a movable member upon which the interface control surface is located, the moveable member being configured to be displaced relative to the vehicle seat to cause the interface control surface to become more accessible to the occupant of the vehicle seat. A method of operation to adjust an orientation of the vehicle seat may comprise moving an interface control surface relative to the vehicle seat to cause the interface control surface to become more accessible to an occupant of the vehicle seat; and operating at least one touch-sensitive interface on the interface control surface to activate at least one seat control for the vehicle seat.
