VEHICLE SEAT DUAL-MOTION ACTUATOR AND METHOD
20190232821 · 2019-08-01 ·

A single motor dual-motion actuator and method for a vehicle seat includes a pin actuator rotatable in the first rotatable direction from a pin actuator rest position toward a pin actuator first position and rotatable in a second rotatable direction from the pin actuator rest position toward a pin actuator second position. The actuator further includes a first actuator component and a second actuator component. The first actuator component is co-rotatable with the pin actuator from a first actuator component rest position in the first rotatable direction toward a first actuator component actuating position when the pin actuator is rotated to the pin actuator first position. The second actuator component is co-rotatable with the pin actuator from a second actuator component rest position in the second rotatable direction toward a second actuator component actuating position when the pin actuator is rotated to the pin actuator second position.

VEHICLE SEAT AND VEHICLE

A vehicle seat, which is provided in a vehicle equipped with a head portion protecting airbag that protects a head portion of a vehicle occupant at a time of a side collision, includes: a head portion restraining portion that is provided at an upper portion side of a seatback so as to be able to tilt rearward from an upright state, and that restrains a head portion of a vehicle occupant, wherein, when the seatback is tilted rearward beyond a predetermined angle with respect to a vertical direction, the head portion of the vehicle occupant can be protected due to at least a side portion that is at a vehicle transverse direction outer side of the head portion restraining portion covering a side of the head portion of the vehicle occupant.

SEAT ADJUSTMENT DEVICE

A seat adjustment device includes: an authentication unit that is configured to identify plural occupants of a vehicle; an acquisition unit that is configured to acquire information relating to each one of the plural vehicle occupants identified by the authentication unit; a determination unit that is configured to determine relationships between the plural vehicle occupants based on information acquired by the acquisition unit; and a control unit that is configured to control at least one of a position or an orientation of seats mounted in the vehicle based on determination results from the determination unit.

DRIVE DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING AN INTERIOR ASSEMBLY OF A VEHICLE

A drive device for adjusting an interior assembly of a vehicle includes an electromotive adjustment drive configured to adjust the interior assembly and a controller configured to control the adjustment drive. The controller is further configured to control the adjustment drive in a servo operation for providing a supporting force during a manual adjustment of the interior assembly by a user.

Vehicle Seat Control System And Method Therefor

A vehicle seat control system includes: at least one seat comprising an one or more electronic devices for a seat sliding function, a backrest angle adjustment function, a leg-rest angle adjustment function, and a seat swivel function; a seat control module disposed in each seat to collect seat state data of the corresponding seat and control the functions of the one or more electronic devices based on an applied command; and a seat controller disposed to correspond to the seat control module, predicting an obstruction condition by another component during seat swivel by checking the seat state data if receiving a seat swivel request from a user, removing the obstruction condition through a pre-processing control by using the seat control module, and then performing a seat swivel control.

Seat assembly having an adjustable head restraint

A seat assembly with an adjustable head restraint assembly capable of being adjusted based on an approximate stature or spatial location of an occupant in the seat assembly. A seat assembly may include a sensor in the seat to detect if an occupant is present. The sensor may include a plurality of bladders and pressure sensors, a radar system, or a neuro-monitoring sensor. The sensor may send a signal to a controller indicating the presence of an occupant. The controller may approximate the size and/or spatial location of the occupant and send an adjustment signal to the head restraint adjustment mechanism to adjust the head restraint assembly to an in-use position. The controller may determine that an occupant is not present and send an adjustment signal to the head restraint adjustment mechanism to adjust the head restraint assembly to a non-use position.

Seat for autonomous driving vehicle

A seat for an autonomous driving vehicle includes a cushion part; a back part coupled to a rear end of the cushion part through a recliner and having an adjustable angle in a front and rear direction; and a leg part rotatably coupled to a front end of the cushion part and having a lower side coupled to a seat rail. The back part is disposed to be vertically movable along a back rail located on a rear side of the back part, and the leg part is disposed to be movable back and forth by the seat rail.

HEAD RESTRAINT LINKAGE FOR REVERSIBLE SEAT
20190152369 · 2019-05-23 ·

A reversible seat for an automotive vehicle having a head restraint which rotates to a fold flat position between a forward-facing position and a rearward-facing position as the seat is moved between opposing forward-facing and rearward-facing positions. The head restraint folds towards the seat back as the reversible seat passes through the peak of its locus to increase clearance with a headliner of the automotive vehicle. The head restraint returns to an upright inclined position as the seat reaches the opposing position.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING WHETHER A SEATBELT IS USED INCORRECTLY, AND FOR TAKING CORRECTIVE ACTION WHEN THE SEATBELT IS USED INCORRECTLY

A system includes a first webbing payout sensor and a seatbelt wear condition module. The first webbing payout sensor can detect a first webbing payout of a seatbelt associated with a seat of a vehicle. The first webbing payout is a first length of webbing of the seatbelt dispensed from a first retractor of the seatbelt. The seatbelt wear condition module can identify whether the seatbelt is worn correctly based on the first webbing payout. The system may further include a second webbing payout sensor that detects a second webbing payout of the seatbelt associated with the seat. The second webbing payout is a second length of webbing of the seatbelt dispensed from a second retractor of the seatbelt. The seatbelt wear condition module identifies whether the seatbelt is worn correctly based on the first webbing payout and the second webbing payout.

ARMREST FOR VEHICLE SEAT AND VEHICLE SEAT

A vehicle seat (10, 100, 200, 300, 400) includes a seat base (14,114, 214, 314, 414) a backrest (12, 112, 212, 312, 412) with a seat base and backrest pivot connection between the seat base and the backrest. An armrest (16, 216, 216, 316, 416) is connected to the vehicle seat at an armrest to vehicle seat support connection (20,120, 220, 320, 420). An armrest linkage system changes an inclination of the armrest relative to the backrest upon changes in inclination of the backrest relative to the seat base, over a pivot range of motion of the backrest relative to the seat base. This may maintain the inclination of the armrest relative to the seat base and the seat floor or may change the inclination of the armrest relative to the seat base and the seat floor.
