TRANSFER SEAT AND METHOD
An operating control for a transfer seat includes at least one rotation control switch disposed on a first portion of a user control interface box body. The rotation control switch is configured to be actuated to control rotational movement of the transfer seat about an axis. A directional control switch is disposed on a second portion of the user control interface box body. The directional control switch is configured to be actuated to control forward and rearward movement of the transfer seat base and upward and downward movement of the transfer seat.
Seating system with easy entry in the third row
A seating system for a vehicle, comprising, from the front to the rear of the vehicle: a first seat, a second seat, a third seat, the first seat, second seat, and third seat being located one behind the other in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, the second seat being provided with a mechanism configured to cause, at least in an easy entry mode, the transition of the second seat from a position of use to an advanced position of non-use configured to facilitate lateral access to the third seat in the third row, and wherein a control device configured to limit automatically the amplitude of the kinematics of the mechanism, by the detection of an indirect contact between the second seat and the first seat, when the mechanism of the second seat is operated, in easy entry mode, from the position of use to the advanced position of non-use.
Passenger seat arrangement for socialization and access for persons of reduced mobility
A passenger seat arrangement for a vehicle including first and second partition walls positioned in spaced apart relation forming an area therebetween, each of the walls including at least a portion angled relative to an aisle and each of the walls having an end position proximate the aisle such that the area formed between the walls is directly accessible from the aisle. A passenger seat positioned in the area is coupled to a guide mechanism such that the passenger seat is configured to travel within the area between a first position distal from the aisle and a second position proximate the aisle for facilitating transfer of a person of reduced mobility (PRM), and in some implementations through an intermediate position for enhancing socialization between the passenger seat and an adjacent passenger seat.
Method and apparatus for seat and bolster adjustment
A method and apparatus of facilitating ingress or egress of a seat having bolsters includes detecting a potential ingress or egress of an occupant to the seat. Upon detection a configuration of the seat is altered from a first position to a second position, wherein a substantially flat surface is formed by a top of a seat portion of the seat and an associated bolster attached to the seat portion.
Adjustable vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes a seat bottom and a seat back coupled to the seat bottom to extend away from the seat bottom. The seat back includes a backrest an a headrest coupled to the backrest to locate the backrest between the headrest and the seat bottom.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat including a seat cushion including a cushion body that supports buttocks of an occupant, and cushion side portions disposed on both seat width direction sides of the cushion body, a seatback including a back body that supports a back of the occupant, and back side portions disposed on both seat width direction sides of the back body, and an adjustment mechanism including at least one of a cushion adjustment mechanism that on actuation moves the cushion body in a seat up-down direction with respect to the cushion side portions and pivots the cushion body about an axis running along the seat width direction, or a back adjustment mechanism that on actuation moves the back body in a seat front-rear direction with respect to the back side portions and pivots the back body about an axis running along the seat width direction.
Method for dynamic adaptation of lateral support to vehicle states in motor vehicle seats with a seat surface and with a backrest and corresponding seat
A method for adjusting a motor vehicle seat includes receiving pressure signals from pressure sensors disposed in a grid network on outside surfaces of edge bladders of the seat. The method further includes raising or lowering a fluid pressure within the edge bladders using the pressure signals, including lowering of the bladder pressure on the door side on recognizing an entry or exit situation only if a load-related pressure rise in bladders on the door side has occurred.
Power transfer seat
A power transfer seat base includes a top fixed plate having a fixed stop attached to an upper surface thereof, a rotating plate mounted on the top fixed plate, the rotating plate having a rotating stop attached to a bottom surface thereof, and a user control interface box mounting bracket mounted on the rotating plate. An operating control having a rotation control switch and a directional control switch disposed on a user control interface box body that is mounted on the mounting bracket. The rotating plate is configured so that the rotating stop and the mounting bracket may be connected to the rotating plate at different positions. The power transfer seat also includes a mounting system that is configured to be connected to the base at different locations in a fore/aft direction and at different locations in a lateral direction.
VEHICLE SEAT SYSTEM
Disclosed is one example of a vehicle seat system that is capable of shortening a time duration required until a third-row seat becomes available for boarding or deboarding. During execution of boarding or deboarding mode-conversion process, executed are front seat-pivot in which a first seatback is displaced seat-frontward in a pivoting manner; a first operation in which at least one of a second seat cushion or a second seatback is displaced relative to the other of the second seat cushion or the second seatback so that the second seat cushion faces the second seatback; and a second operation in which the second seat is displaced seat-frontward. During the execution of the boarding or deboarding mode-conversion process, the second operation is executed in response to the first seatback being placed in a specified state subsequent to execution of the front seat-pivot.
Method of controlling a vehicle seating assembly
A vehicle includes a front seating assembly and a rear seating assembly. An occupant sensor senses occupancy of the front seating assembly. A proximity sensor senses an object in a footwell behind the front seating assembly. A rear door sensor senses the opening of a rear door. A controller activates an actuator to move the front seating assembly forward based on the sensed occupancy, a sensed object, and sensed door opening. A method of controlling a vehicle seating assembly includes the steps of: sensing the front seating assembly is unoccupied with the occupant sensor; detecting in the footwell behind the front seating assembly with the proximity sensor; sensing a rear door position with the door sensor; and moving the front seating assembly forward when the front seating assembly is unoccupied, an object is in the footwell, and the rear door is in an open position.
