A system of air cushions adapted to ensconce the head of an occupant in a child seat during side impact, extendable to a system of air cushions with sacrificial chamber to inflate the aircushions.

The invention relates to a child safety seat for attaching to a motor vehicle seat, comprising a seat region, a back portion, an impact shield, the impact shield comprising an integrated airbag and/or an airbag being provided in the seat region, an acceleration-sensing device for sensing an acceleration of the child safety seat, and a control device, which is configured in such a way that the airbag is deployed on the basis of an acceleration sensed by the acceleration-sensing device.

A vehicle seat assembly includes a seat base connected to a seat back. The seat base has a cushion portion and a support portion for supporting the cushion portion. The cushion portion is movable between a seating condition where the cushion portion forms a seating surface and non-seating condition where the cushion portion is tilted forward relative to the seat back about a forward end portion of the support portion. A rail system is mounted to the support portion. In the seating condition the rail system is covered by the cushion portion, and in the non-seating condition the rail system is configured to have mounted thereto an associated child car seat. The rail system is configured to move the associated child seat along a lateral direction of the vehicle seat assembly between a first outboard seating location and a center seating location defined by the seat base.

A child safety seat includes a seat shell for receiving a child, an extension member, an extension locking mechanism operable to lock the extension member with respect to the seat shell, and an anti-rebound part. The anti-rebound part can be installed on the extension member or the seat shell. The child safety seat is installable on a vehicle seat in a rear facing position with the anti-rebound part extending at an angle above the extension member and adjacent to a seatback of the vehicle seat.

The invention relates to an impact shield for a child seat for mounting on a motor vehicle seat, the child seat having a main body for receiving a child, the impact shield having a first surface section, namely a head impact section, onto which the head of the child impacts in the event of sudden deceleration, the head impact section having at least one recess and/or being at least partially softer than at least a second surface section of the impact shield.

A child safety seat includes a seat shell for receiving a child, an extension member, an extension locking mechanism operable to lock the extension member with respect to the seat shell, and an anti-rebound part. The present invention discloses an accessory and an infant seat having the accessory. The accessory includes a main body, an engaging portion, and an operating member. The engaging portion is slidably disposed on the main body. The engaging portion has a locking position for engaging with an infant seat and a releasing position for disengaging from the infant seat. The operating member is slidably disposed on the main body and abuts against the engaging portion. The operating member is operated to slide the engaging portion from the locking position to the releasing position. The accessory is convenient to operate and has a simple structure and a low manufacturing cost.

A child safety seat includes a child seat, and a support base having a shell body adapted to provide support for the child seat. The support base includes an anti-rebound part and a locking mechanism. The anti-rebound part is connected with the shell body for sliding movements along a sliding axis, the anti-rebound part having an abutting portion tilted relative to the sliding axis that extends upward at a front of the child seat, the anti-rebound part being slidable along the sliding axis relative to the shell body for displacing the abutting portion away from the child seat or toward the child seat so as to adjust a leg room for a child. The locking mechanism is operable to lock the anti-rebound part in position with respect to the shell body.
