CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM WITH SEAT-ORIENTATION ADJUSTER
A child restraint includes a seat-support base adapted to be retained on a vehicle passenger seat. The child restraint also includes a juvenile seat mounted on the seat-support base and sized to seat a juvenile.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OCCUPANT CUSTOMIZED SEAT
An occupant customized seat control apparatus and method are provided. The method includes recognizing, by a camera, an occupant that approaches a vehicle, controlling a display to move based on a height of the recognized occupant, determining whether the recognized occupant is an infant, and when the recognized occupant is determined to be an infant, determining whether a booster seat needs to be controlled based on the height of the recognized occupant, and when at least one of the booster seat, a footrest, or the combination thereof needs to be controlled, converting a value of the recognized height into a booster seat actuator movement amount value, and controlling the booster seat to move based on the converted actuator movement amount value.
Vehicular child restraint and child protection system
A forward-facing child restraint and a child restraint system providing superior collision protection. The restraint and the system are for use in a vehicle having a lap belt and a shoulder belt. The child restraint system comprises a restraint which may be used with a booster seat, independently of a booster seat or associated with a booster seat.
Child safety seat
The child safety seat for a vehicle in accordance with the invention comprises an outer shell enclosing a seating area for a child and a protective element. The protective element comprises a housing component and an impact component, wherein the housing component is embedded into the outer shell and the impact component is mounted to the housing component, is configured to be enclosed at least partially by the housing component, and is configured to protrude laterally from the outer shell in a direction facing away from the seating area. Preferably, the housing component or the impact component comprises a deformable region adapted to cushion forces impacting on the impact component.
CHILD'S BOOSTER SEAT
A child's booster seat is provided and can include a booster seat base and seat back. The booster seat base can be collapsed or folded from an in-use configuration to a collapsed configuration to improve portability of the booster seat base. The booster seat base can include multiple seating surface panels that are rotatably coupled to one another to allow the booster seat base to be collapsed from an in-use width to a collapsed with that is less than the in-use width. The booster seat base can also be coupled and decoupled from the booster seat back. The booster seat base can include tab members that can be inserted into tab receiving cavities of the booster seat back. Adjustment of the booster seat base from the in-use configuration to the collapsed configuration can also facilitate removal of the tab members from the tab receiving cavities of the booster seat back.
Portable Child Safety Seat with Five-Point Restraint
The present invention combines the benefits of a booster seat with those of a five-point restraint to provide a compact, portable, lightweight car seat with a five-point harness. The invention consists of a seat-bottom and a backplate. It provides simple installment using either LATCH or the vehicle's adult shoulder-lap belt, with infinite height adjustment of the child's shoulder harness anchors requiring only two belt-length adjusters. A criss-cross connection between seat-bottom and backplate reduces excursion and injury in side impacts. A double-loop connector minimizes incorrect installation. The child's harness has been completely rerouted to lower production cost and to reduce misuse of the restraint. The seat cover can be easily removed without the need to replace any belt webbing, and can be used as a storage compartment for the back-plate, five-point harness and tethers. The cover contains handles, such that it can be carried like a tote.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A child safety seat includes a seat body, an armrest, and an actuating mechanism. The seat body includes a seat base. The armrest has a first engaging portion. The actuating mechanism is disposed on the seat body. The actuating mechanism has an actuating portion and a second engaging portion. The actuating portion is exposed from the seat body. The second engaging portion is engaged with the first engaging portion when the armrest is disposed on the seat base. The second engaging portion is disengaged from the first engaging portion when the actuating portion is actuated to move the actuating mechanism, such that the armrest is able to be detached from the seat base.
CHILD CAR SEAT
In one example, a child car seat for a vehicle has a main body with seatback, a seating surface that extends forward from the seatback, and a recline foot. The recline foot has a front end that defines an engagement region that engages a vehicle seat, and a rear end disposed behind the front end. The rear end is coupled to the main body such that the recline foot pivots relative to main body about a pivot axis to transition the main body between at least one reclined position and at least one inclined position. The rear end has a rigid portion, and the car seat has a deformable body affixed to the rigid portion. The deformable body engages the vehicle seat and deforms under a lower force than the rigid portion.
Backrest locking mechanism and child safety seat
A backrest locking mechanism adapted for a backrest and a base of a child safety seat is provided. The backrest is detachably connected to the base. The backrest locking mechanism includes a locking pin, a locking component and an operating component. The locking pin is disposed on the backrest. The locking component is disposed on the base. A locking hole structure is formed on the locking component. The locking pin is configured to detachably engage with the locking hole structure. The operating component is movably disposed on the backrest or the base. The operating component drives the locking pin and the locking hole structure to engage with or disengage from each other when the operating component is operated. Furthermore, a child safety seat having the aforementioned backrest locking mechanism is also provided.
Child seat
A child seat includes a seat shell, a retractor assembly including a movable member connected with the seat shell, an anchor strap portion and an adjustment strap respectively connected with the movable member, and a lock assembled with the seat shell. The anchor strap portion extends outward from the seat shell, and is provided with a fastener operable to attach with an anchor structure of a vehicle. The adjustment strap has a first end portion connected with the movable member and a second end portion extending outside the seat shell, and extends through the lock at a location between the first and second end portions. The movable member is movable in a first direction to pull the anchor strap portion for reducing a length thereof outside the seat shell, and in an opposite second direction to pull the adjustment strap for reducing a length thereof outside the seat shell.
