CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A child safety seat includes a seat shell having a backrest portion and a sidewall protruding forward from the backrest portion, an adjustable headrest movable along the backrest portion, and a first belt guide fixedly connected with the sidewall at a top thereof and a second belt guide provided on the headrest, wherein the first belt guide and the second belt guide are configured to receive a shoulder belt portion of a vehicle seatbelt disposed through a gap between the sidewall and the headrest. In some embodiments, the child safety seat may include a latch belt disposed transversally across the seat shell and having two opposite ends respectively provided with two connectors for attachment to an anchorage provided in a vehicle, and a storage compartment on a rear of the backrest portion adapted to receive the two connectors of the latch belt.
VEHICLE SAFETY SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING CHILD ABANDONMENT AND RELATED METHODS
A vehicle safety system is for preventing child abandonment in a vehicle. The vehicle safety system may include a controller coupled to a flow sensor, a temperature sensor, and a seat sensor. The controller may be configured to detect when the vehicle is in a fueling state based upon the flow sensor, detect occupancy of a child safety seat based upon the seat sensor, and detect when a driver side door is in an open state based upon a driver side door sensor in the vehicle. The controller may be configured to when the driver side door has entered the open state, when the child safety seat is occupied, and when the vehicle does not enter the fueling state within a time period, then cause the vehicle to enter an alert state.
Headrest height adjustment mechanisms for child safety seats
The present invention discloses a headrest height adjustment mechanism for child safety seats, which comprises a backrest (1), a headrest (2) and an adjustment device (3); wherein the adjustment device comprises a limiting block (31), a spring (33), an adjustment bar (32) capable of sliding up and down inside the mounting chamber (21); the limiting block (31) has a blocking portion (311); the adjustment bar (32) has a driving portion (321); the spring (33) is disposed between the adjustment bar (32) and the headrest (2) and enables the adjustment bar (32) to have a trend to slide downward. Compared with the prior art, the headrest height adjustment mechanism for child safety seats is convenient for operation and has high reliability of locking and unlocking.
CAR SEAT
A car seat configured for attachment to a vehicle seat in a selectable forward facing position or rear-facing position. An example embodiment is a car seat that includes a chassis having a backrest portion coupled to a base portion, a seat portion releasably attached to the base portion, and a release handle coupled to the seat portion for enabling detachment of the seat portion from the base. The seat portion can be detached and used as a stand-alone booster. The car seat includes a tension arm for releasably securing the car seat in a forward-facing position onto a vehicle seat. The car seat can include a belt clamp, configured to be acted on by the tension arm, for releasably securing the car seat in a rear-facing position onto a vehicle seat. The car seat can include a rebound bar that can be retracted or folded into the seat.
Quick release apparatus for a latch connector on a booster seat
A child booster seat for use in a vehicle having a pair of LATCH connectors selectively attachable to the vehicle, the connectors having a first web member operably connected thereto enabling the connectors to be drawn closer to the seat for securely connecting the seat to the vehicle and a second web member operably connected to the LATCH connectors for release the LATCH connector from the vehicle, the relative lengths of the first and second webs configured so that the second web will operate and release the LATCH connector from the vehicle before the first web is fully extended from the seat as the seat is being removed from the vehicle.
Vehicle safety system for preventing child abandonment and related methods
A vehicle safety system is for preventing child abandonment in a vehicle. The vehicle safety system may include a flow sensor for fuel in the vehicle, and a controller coupled to the flow sensor and a seat sensor. The controller may be configured to detect when the vehicle is in a fueling state based upon the flow sensor, and detect occupancy of a child safety seat based upon the seat sensor. The controller may be configured to if the vehicle does not enter the fueling state within a first time period, then cause the vehicle to enter a first alert state, and if the vehicle does not enter the fueling state within a second time period greater than the first time period, then cause the vehicle to enter a second alert state.
Combination child seat and blanket
A child seat includes a horizontal seat panel and a vertical backrest panel that are each respectively received within a designated compartment in the seat and backrest of an existing passenger seat. Upon command, actuators displace both panels from their designated compartments to form a child seat when needed. A blanket is stored within a pocket mounted on the rear surface of the existing backrest to comfort a passenger. The blanket includes sleeves that allow the passenger to use the arms while covered, an opening for receiving a passenger seat headrest and an inflatable neck pillow encircling a head aperture.
