A vehicle safety system is for preventing child abandonment in a vehicle. The vehicle safety system may include a flow sensor for fuel in the vehicle, and a controller coupled to the flow sensor and a seat sensor. The controller may be configured to detect when the vehicle is in a fueling state based upon the flow sensor, and detect occupancy of a child safety seat based upon the seat sensor. The controller may be configured to if the vehicle does not enter the fueling state within a first time period, then cause the vehicle to enter a first alert state, and if the vehicle does not enter the fueling state within a second time period greater than the first time period, then cause the vehicle to enter a second alert state.

Child's booster seat

A child's booster seat is provided and can include a booster seat base and seat back. The booster seat base can be collapsed or folded from an in-use configuration to a collapsed configuration to improve portability of the booster seat base. The booster seat base can include multiple seating surface panels that are rotatably coupled to one another to allow the booster seat base to be collapsed from an in-use width to a collapsed width that is less than the in-use width. The booster seat base can also be coupled and decoupled from the booster seat back. The booster seat base can include tab members that can be inserted into tab receiving cavities of the booster seat back. Adjustment of the booster seat base from the in-use configuration to the collapsed configuration can also facilitate removal of the tab members from the tab receiving cavities of the booster seat back.

A positioning protrusion is formed a lateral side of the seat part. The belt engaging element is installed on a lateral side of the seat part. A positioning recess is formed on the belt engaging element for engaging with the positioning protrusion. The adjustable child device can be folded when it is not in use, which saves storage space.

A child safety seat, such as a car seat, booster seat, stroller seat, or high chair, can include a crotch buckle positioner that provides adjustability for the harness system as the child grows. The seat can include a seat bottom, a seat back, a harness system, and a crotch belt positioner. Crotch belt webbing, including a buckle, can extend up through a portion of the crotch belt positioner and is adjusted by the crotch belt positioner. The crotch belt positioner can be adjusted into multiple positions along the seat bottom. Adjusting the crotch belt positioner from a first position to a second position can adjust at least one of the length of the crotch belt webbing that extends about the top surface of the seat bottom and the position that the relational position that the crotch belt webbing extends up through crotch belt positioner with respect to the seat bottom.

Energy absorbing material (4) is arranged between the limit block (22) and the seat (1), and is compressed to deform when the seat (1) slides towards the limit block (22). When a car encounters a collision or emergency brake, the seat (1) moves relative to the base (2) due to inertia, and the energy absorbing material (4) is squeezed to deform so as to provide a buffering and shock absorbing action. The word front described here and elsewhere is defined according to the moving direction of the seat (1), that is, the direction along which the seat (1) slides relative to the base (2) when a car collision occurs is front, and conversely, the direction opposite to front is rear.
