The shoulder strap has two shoulder strap portions slidably routed from a front side of the seat back to a rear side of the seat back through the routing opening. Two rear ends of the two shoulder strap portions located at the rear side of the seat back are permanently coupled to each other through the slot portion. The central adjusting strap is slidably routed to the rear side of the seat back through the seat bottom to be detachably attached to the bending portion for adjusting tightness of the safety harness.
Central-adjust soft-back vehicle seat
A passenger seat is described for use with a vehicle seat and includes, a base, an attachment assembly, a restraint assembly, and a non-rigid back. The base includes a central front opening. The attachment assembly includes a plurality of straps, which are configured to adjustably secure the base to the vehicle seat. The restraint assembly includes a shoulder strap assembly, a crotch strap assembly, and an adjustment strap. The adjustment strap is in communication with the shoulder strap assembly, extending from the shoulder strap assembly through the base and out of the central front opening of the base. The adjustment strap assembly is configured to adjust the shoulder strap assembly in response to translation of the adjustment strap through the central front opening of the base. The back encompasses at least a portion of the restraint assembly and the attachment assembly.
Child safety seat
A child safety seat includes a seat body, an armrest, and an actuating mechanism. The seat body includes a seat base. The armrest has a first engaging portion. The actuating mechanism is disposed on the seat body. The actuating mechanism has an actuating portion and a second engaging portion. The actuating portion is exposed from the seat body. The second engaging portion is engaged with the first engaging portion when the armrest is disposed on the seat base. The second engaging portion is disengaged from the first engaging portion when the actuating portion is actuated to move the actuating mechanism, such that the armrest is able to be detached from the seat base.
CONFORMABLE AND RECONFIGURABLE OCCUPANT SUPPORT STRUCTURE
An occupant support structure and a method of customizing an occupant support structure. The occupant support structure may comprise a base and a reconfigurable cushion carried by the base. The reconfigurable cushion may include an occupant support surface and a bladder. The bladder may include an outer wall that defines an inner cavity underlying the occupant support surface and two or more overlapping material layers disposed within the cavity. The overlapping material layers may be adapted to selectively transition from a compliant state to a rigid state and vice versa by selective control of a pressure condition across the outer wall of the bladder to reconfigure or conform the occupant support surface of the cushion to a contour of a portion of an occupant supported by the cushion.
Child's booster seat with detachable belt positioner car seat
A child's booster seat with detachable belt positioner car seat is provided. The booster seat can include a seat back that can be coupled and decoupled from a seat base. The seat base can include a primary seat base and a removable seat base. The removable seat base can be coupled and decoupled from the primary seat base and used as a booster seat for a child without the primary seat base. The primary seat base can include protrusions and/or recesses and the removable seat base can include recesses and/or bosses for aligning and/or coupling the removable seat base to the primary seat base. A pair of armrests can be adjustably coupled to the seat base, such as to the removable seat base. The seat base can further include one or more lap belt positioners. The seat back can include an adjustable headrest and one or more shoulder belt positioners.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT WITH HEADREST HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
The invention relates to a child safety seat comprising a seat shell, a headrest, a guiding component, slidably coupled to the seat shell, for guiding a strap of an integral harness system, and an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the height of the headrest, comprising a coupling element which is configured to be placed in a first and a second configuration, wherein, when placed in the first configuration, the coupling element couples the headrest with the guiding component such as to allow for movement of the headrest together with the guiding component relative to the seat shell; and wherein, when placed in the second configuration, the coupling element couples the seat shell with the guiding component such as to prevent the guiding component from movement relative to the seat shell and such as to allow for movement of the headrest relative to the seat shell.
APPARATUS FOR ADAPTING A SEATBELT TO A CHILD
An apparatus for adapting an adult three-point seatbelt of a vehicle for safe and secure usage by an occupant such as a child, the seatbelt being of the ubiquitous type that comprises a tensioned belt wound on a drum that extends from above shoulder height of an adult occupant of a seat, to an anchor point connected to chassis of vehicle, and a clasp attached to the chassis on an opposite side of an occupant of the seat from the anchor point, such that the belt may be drawn downwards and across an occupant to engage the clasp, thereby restraining the occupant with both a sash section and a lap section of the seatbelt.
The apparatus comprises a guide for the sash section of the seat belt that is fixed to a seat and sideways adjustable with respect to the occupant sitting on the seat, the sash guide for engaging the sash section above a shoulder of the occupant at a sideways position to ensure that said sash section runs over shoulder of the occupant in an optimal position for both comfort and safety. Different embodiments are directed to a guide attached to the seat of the vehicle itself, retrofittable to a head rest and attached to various child seats such as booster seats that themselves sit on the vehicle seat.
PORTABLE CAR SEAT
The present invention relates to a portable car seat comprising: a seat part on which a child sits; a backrest part rotatably coupled to the seat part; a rotation connection part for rotating the seat part and the backrest part; and a rotation prevention part for restricting rotation, performed by the rotation connection part, through a stopper for preventing rotation.
Apparatus for adapting a seatbelt for a child
