A child conveyance apparatus includes a child support portion having a canopy mount, a canopy installable on and removable from the child support portion, the canopy including a coupling part that is engaged with the canopy mount when the canopy is installed on the child support portion and disengaged from the canopy mount when the canopy is removed from the child support portion, the coupling part having a plurality of installation positions with respect to the canopy mount that correspond to different heights of the canopy on the child support portion, and a latch provided on one of the canopy mount and the coupling part, the latch being operable to engage with different locations on the other one of the canopy mount and the coupling part for holding the coupling part in the installation positions.

Extendible protective element for use in a child safety seat

An extendible protective element (10) for use in a child safety seat is disclosed. The extendible protective element comprises a first thread component comprising a first external thread and a first internal thread, and a second thread component comprising a second external thread, wherein the first thread component is rotatably connected to the second thread component via the first internal thread of the first thread component and the second external thread of the second thread component.

Overstress protection for shape memory alloy seat actuator

An actuator for a vehicle seat can be configured to prevent overstress of a shape memory alloy (SMA) wire. The actuator can include a first body member and a second body member pivotably connected to each other. The actuator can include an overstress post and an overstress contact plate operatively connected to the overstress post. Thus, movement of the overstress post causes movement of the overstress contact plate. The actuator can include an overstress contact pin. The actuator can include an SMA wire operatively connected to one of the body members and to the overstress post. When activated, the SMA wire can shrink, causing one of the body members to pivot relative to the other body member and causing the overstress contact plate to move toward the overstress contact pin. If the overstress contact plate contacts the overstress contact pin, the SMA wire can be deactivated.

Infant carrier

An infant carrier is included in a child restraint that may also include a carrier-mount base adapted to be anchored to a passenger seat in a vehicle. The infant carrier includes a shell for holding an infant and a carry handle coupled to the shell and adapted to be gripped by a caregiver.

Upper body support system
11639126 · 2023-05-02 ·

An upper body support system for a vehicle seat provides support of a person's head and body via a body portion that extends down along the seat back rest from a stabilizer portion that extends over the top of the seat. The body portion may extend down a substantial portion of the back rest to provide support of the person's upper body. The bottom end of the support is secured by a base strap that is configured to form an anchor loop that is couple with a seat anchor of the vehicle seat. The top of the support is secured to a pair of head rest posts by a head rest strap assembly. This arrangement of securing the top and bottom of the support provides effective stability for a person to lean there against and enables the body portion to be configured in an offset angle from vertical for comfort.

Child safety seat assembly

A child safety seat assembly includes a shell body for defining a support base attachable to a child seat, a leg frame extendible downward from a bottom of the shell body, and a cushion part. The leg frame includes a first and a second tube segment attached with each other, the first tube segment being affixed with a fastener. The cushion part is affixed in the second tube segment adjacent to the fastener, and is formed as an integral hollow body including a first, a second and a third sidewall. The first sidewall faces the fastener, and the second and third sidewalls include inward recessed surfaces and are respectively connected with two side edges of the first sidewall. When the second tube segment is forced to displace relative to the first tube segment, the fastener and the first sidewall push against each other to cause deformation of the cushion part.

Child Safety Seat

A child safety seat includes a support base, a rotary platform and a child seat. The support base is suitable for placement on a vehicle seat and includes an anchoring portion and a bearing portion connected with each other, the anchoring portion having a belt path for passage of a fastening belt to attach the child safety seat on a vehicle seat. The rotary platform is pivotally connected with the bearing portion of the support base about a pivot axis. The child seat is connected with the rotary platform, wherein the child seat, the rotary platform and the bearing portion are movable in unison relative to the anchoring portion, and the child seat and the rotary platform are rotatable in unison as a seat unit relative to the support base between a plurality of positions including a forward facing position, a rearward facing position and a sideways facing position.
