Support base for a child safety seat
A support base for a child safety seat includes a coupling structure coupled to a shell and a latch device operable to engage with an anchor structure of a vehicle. The coupling structure includes a carrier pivotally connected with the latch device. The latch device is rotatable relative to the carrier and the shell between a storage position and multiple deployed positions for use, and the carrier is slidable relative to the shell in a first direction for displacing a distal end of the latch device outward and away from an end edge of the shell and in a second direction for displacing the distal end of the latch device toward the end edge of the shell. The support base further includes an adjustment latch movable to engage with the carrier for preventing its sliding in the first direction, and to disengage from the carrier for its sliding.
Vehicle occupant support
Arrangements for safety and comfort in vehicles.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL ENERGY ABSORBER
A child safety seat may include a base configured to be operably coupled to a vehicle seat, a seat shell configured to receive and secure a child therein, and a multi-functional energy absorber. The seat shell may be operably coupled to the base such that the seat shell is alternately movable between a plurality of positions relative to the base responsive to operation of a seat positioner assembly, and lockable in the plurality of positions relative to the base responsive to operation of a locking assembly. The multi-functional energy absorber may be disposed between the base and the seat shell. The multi-functional energy absorber may be an integral portion of both the seat positioner assembly and the locking assembly.
Method and apparatus for a rotatable child safety seat
A rotatable child safety seat can include a seat shell for receiving a child therein, a rotating pedestal, and a seat base. The pedestal and seat shell can rotate with respect to the seat base. The pedestal can include a locking pin and the seat base can include a multitude of pin receiving apertures that allow a user to rotate the seat shell and pedestal in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction at a number of different angles or positions. The child safety seat can also include two separate seat belt/LATCH tether pathways. One seat belt/LATCH tether pathway can be provided on the seat back of the seat shell and can be used when the child safety seat is in a forward-facing configuration and the other seat belt/LATCH tether pathway can be provided in the seat base and used when in a rearward-facing configuration.
Adjustable child restraint system
In at least one embodiment, an adjustable child restraint system is provided. The system may include a base portion, a child retaining portion, a sensor, and a controller operatively connected to the base portion and/or the child retaining portion, the controller for operating movement of the base portion and/or the child retaining portion, in some embodiments. The child retaining portion may include a first expandable section and a second expandable section to operatively expand to support a head and neck of a child seated there within.
Child restraint system
A child restraint system is provided and configured to be installed on a vehicle seat to support a child. The child restraint system includes a main body, a reclining foot and an adjusting foot. The main body includes a seat portion and a backrest portion. The reclining foot is pivotably coupled to the main body. The adjusting foot is pivotably coupled to the main body or the reclining foot. The adjusting foot is pivotable between a forward position and a rearward position. No matter when the child restraint system is in a rearward-facing direction or a forward-facing direction, the child restraint system can be supported stably on the vehicle seat, and a recline position of the child restraint system can be adjusted in a wide adjustment range by pivoting of the reclining foot. Therefore, the child restraint system is convenient to use.
SEAT ADJUSTMENT STRUCTURE AND CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A seat adjustment structure for adjusting a relative position between a seat and a base carrying the seat is provided. The seat adjustment structure is capable of sliding with respect to the base along a first direction and includes: one pair of engaging members, fixed to one of the base and the seat with respect to the first direction; a locking assembly, fixed to the other of the base and the seat, capable of being locked to or unlocked from the engaging member; an operating member, mounted on the seat or the base, capable of moving with respect to the seat along a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction; and a cable, connecting the operating member and the locking assembly, and being arranged to transmit a movement of the operating member to the locking assembly, thereby causing the locking assembly to be locked or unlocked with respect to the engaging members, such that the base is locked or unlocked with respect to the seat.
Anti-skipping device, seat footrest device and child safety seat having the same
An anti-skipping device including: a pair of fixed bases, symmetrically disposed on both sides, having slide rails extending along a longitudinal direction, and having two side walls facing each other along a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction; an extension member, movably inserted on the fixed bases, and being slidable along the slide rail to move between an extended position and a retracted position in respect to the fixed bases; a locking member for coupling the fixed bases and the extension member, so as to lock a position of the extension member in respect to the fixed bases; and a crossbar, disposed on the two side walls to prevent the two side walls from being laterally displaced from each other.
USER-DEFINED STIMULATION PATTERNS FOR JUVENILE PRODUCTS
Systems and methods define a stimulation pattern for a juvenile product utilizing a mobile device that executes a mobile application that is linked to the juvenile product. The method comprises the step of recognizing, by the mobile device when executing the mobile app, the user-defined stimulation pattern for the juvenile product. The stimulation pattern can be a vibration pattern or a motion pattern, and can be detected in a number of different ways by the mobile device. The method further comprises the step of determining control signals for the actuator(s) of the juvenile product based on the user-defined stimulation pattern that is recognized by the mobile device. The method further comprises the step of, in response to receiving a command to execute the user-defined stimulation pattern, controlling the actuator(s) of the juvenile product based on the stored control signals for the user-defined stimulation pattern.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A child safety seat includes a seat shell for receiving a child, an extension member, an extension locking mechanism operable to lock the extension member with respect to the seat shell, and an anti-rebound part. The anti-rebound part can be installed on the extension member or the seat shell. The child safety seat is installable on a vehicle seat in a rear facing position with the anti-rebound part extending at an angle above the extension member and adjacent to a seatback of the vehicle seat.
