Vehicle Seat With Stowable Seat Bottom
A vehicle seat assembly for a vehicle having a cargo area bounded by a floor and at least one wall is provided along with a method of operation. The vehicle seat assembly comprises a seat back, a seat base, and a linkage assembly. The seat back of the vehicle seat assembly mounts to the wall and the linkage assembly mounts to the floor. The seat bottom is mounted to the linkage assembly and is moveable between stowed and deployed positions. When the seat bottom is in the deployed position, the seat bottom defines a deployed seat bottom plane. When the seat bottom is in the stowed position, the seat bottom is positioned below the deployed seat bottom plane. The seat bottom is separate from the seat back and is spaced apart from the seat back when the seat bottom is in the stowed position.
Stowable vehicle seat assembly having a pivot link
A stowable seat assembly having a seat back and a seat bottom. The seat bottom has a seat bottom frame that includes a drive link that is pivotally connected to a front link and the seat back. A pivot link is pivotally connected to the drive link and a side member of the seat bottom frame.
Stowable vehicle seat with slotted guide linkage
A foldable vehicle seat includes a seat base, a seatback connected to the seat base for pivotal movement relative to the seat base from a generally vertical use position to a generally horizontal stow position atop the seat base, wherein the seat base is pivotally connected to the floor such that, when the seatback is moved from its use position to the folded, stow position, the seat base may be moved forward and downward to thereby provide a lower load floor position.
ADJUSTABLE SEAT FOR SPORTS CARS
On each of the two longitudinal sides of the cushion (2) of a seat (1) there is provided a front mechanism (4) and a rear lever (5) to move the seat, varying the height and inclination thereof. The rear lever (5) is hinged to the cushion (2) and to a rear supporting bracket (7). The hinging axis (a1) between the rear lever (5) and the cushion (2), is located at a lower position than the horizontal hinging axis (a2) between the rear lever (5) and the rear supporting bracket (7).
Vehicle seat
In a rear seat having a configuration which, in the state that a seat cushion is folded forward with a seat back flattened on the seat cushion side, makes an upward back surface of the seat back become almost the same height with a floor surface of a cargo room, to avoid giving a restriction and hurt in amenity to a passenger seated on the seat cushion in the space on which feet of are put, the present invention provides a vehicle seat to which parallel link mechanism portions are equipped that connect the seat cushion to a floor surface under the seat cushion of the vehicle, and a mechanism is provided to fold the seat cushion forward with the posture of the seat back held by the parallel link mechanisms in the state that the seat back is flattened to the seat cushion side.
Vehicle seat and method for fixing a seat element
The invention relates to a vehicle seat (1) comprising a seat element (2) which can be pivoted from a use position into a stowed position. Said vehicle seat comprises locking means (14). Said locking means interact with the seat element (2) in a positive and/or friction fit in a fixed position adopted in the use position, along a first direction (F) and a second direction (G).
SEAT WITH AUTOMATIC TILTING
A vehicle seat that includes a support intended to be rigidly fixed to the frame of a vehicle, a seating portion, a backrest extending the rear end of the seating portion, and a connecting mechanism which connects the seating portion to the support. The connecting mechanism has a primary mechanism which allows forward tilting of the seating portion and backrest relative to the support between a rest position and a forward-tilted position. The seat includes a first motor able to tilt the seating portion from its rest position to its tilted position, and a control member for the first motor.
Vehicle seat with foldable stow position
A foldable vehicle includes a seat base, a seatback connected to the seat base for pivotal movement relative to the seat base from a generally vertical use position to a generally horizontal stow position atop the seat base, wherein the seat base is pivotally connected to the floor such that, when the seatback is moved from its use position to the folded, stow position, the seat base may be moved rearward and downward to thereby provide a lower load floor position. The seat also includes a lock mechanism to engage and lock the seat base in a first position when the seatback is positioned within the defined range of use positions, and unlock the seat base for movement to a second position when the seatback is positioned outside the use range.
VEHICLE SEAT AND ASSEMBLY METHOD
It is provided a vehicle seat comprising a seat base, a seat part which is arranged on the seat base and can be adjusted relative to the seat base, a backrest which is mounted on the seat base so as to be pivotable between an upright use position and a non-use position which is pivoted towards the seat part, and a coupling mechanism for coupling an adjustment movement of the seat part to a pivot movement of the backrest. In this case, a locking lever is provided which can be pivoted between a locking position and an unlocking position by means of the coupling mechanism, is in its locking position in the use position of the backrest and locks the backrest from pivoting into the non-use position, and can be pivoted from its locking position into its unlocking position.
VEHICLE SEAT
In a vehicle seat foldable by rotation of rotary links disposed below a seat cushion in a direction toward the seat cushion, a front end portion of the seat cushion includes a suspending portion of a cushion pad and a skin material covering the suspending portion. Contact portions of the front end portion of the seat cushion contacting the rotary links when the vehicle seat is in a folded state include a recessed portion provided at the suspending portion, and a flexible plate provided at an outer skin material downwardly extending along a front surface of the suspending portion in the skin material covering the recessed portion. The flexible plate is configured to restore the shape of the outer skin material when the rotary links are separated from the contact portions.
