A foldable vehicle seat includes a seat base, a seatback connected to the seat base for pivotal movement relative to the seat base from a generally vertical use position to a generally horizontal stow position atop the seat base, wherein the seat base is pivotally connected to the floor such that, when the seatback is moved from its use position to the folded, stow position, the seat base may be moved forward and downward to thereby provide a lower load floor position.

A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion and a seatback and capable of assuming a use state in which a user can be seated thereon and a stowed state in which the seatback has pivoted forward from the use state to overlap with the seat cushion. The vehicle seat includes an article placement part which, in the stowed state, protrudes more forward than the seatback and is provided with a support surface that faces upward. The article placement part is preferably an ottoman supported by the seat cushion. The ottoman is preferably pivotable relative to the seat cushion. Also, in the stowed state, the ottoman is preferably pivotable relative to the seat cushion.

A seating arrangement for a vehicle is shown to include a plurality of seats, including at least two front seats, at least two rear seats, and a rear jump seat positioned intermediate the two rear seats. The jump seat comprises a seat back which is positioned rearwardly of the rear seats, and the rear seats are movable laterally between a first position where the rear seats are proximate to each other and generally covering the seat back of the jump seat, and a second position where the rear seats are spaced apart from each other and the seat back of the jump seat is exposed. The arrangement may also include rear seats which are rotatable relative to the seat backs to provide a storage surface.

A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion and a seatback and capable of assuming a use state in which a user can be seated thereon and a stowed state in which the seatback has pivoted forward from the use state to overlap with the seat cushion. The vehicle seat includes an article placement part which, in the stowed state, protrudes more forward than the seatback and is provided with a support surface that faces upward. The article placement part is preferably an ottoman supported by the seat cushion. The ottoman is preferably pivotable relative to the seat cushion. Also, in the stowed state, the ottoman is preferably pivotable relative to the seat cushion.

A seat adjustment apparatus for a vehicle includes a plurality of connection frames provided along two opposite sides of a seat frame and two opposite sides of a back frame and configured to move forward or rearward depending on a folding direction of the back frame, guide parts provided at middle points of the plurality of connection frames and configured to be moved upward or downward by forward or rearward movements of the connection frames, and a seat cushion pipe provided inside the two connection frames and configured such that front ends of the seat cushion pipe are connected to the guide parts, and a position of a rear end of the seat cushion pipe is adjusted upward or downward by upward or downward movements of the guide parts.
