Support System Providing a Supporting Surface for Rest in a Vehicle
A support system is provided for a passenger vehicle having front seats, rear seats, a front anchoring feature 3 forwardly of a gap between the front and rear seats and a rear anchoring feature 2 rearwardly of the gap. The support system includes (i) a panel structure, (ii) front end connectors connecting the panel structure to the front anchoring features of the vehicle, (iii) rear end connectors connecting the panel structure to the rear anchoring features of the vehicle, and (iv) a supporting arrangement providing support to laterally opposing side portions of the panel structure to resist inward displacement of the laterally opposing side portions of the panel structure towards one another when supporting a load on an upper supporting surface of the panel structure. The supporting surface extends the substantially horizontal supporting platform at the rear of a vehicle for extending the resting or storage area of the vehicle.
Vehicular Camp and Method
An in-cabin convertible bed apparatus for vehicles comprising the combined, substantially flat or level surface of a trunk floor, a folded rear seat with a flat back, a parcel shelf to extend the bed surface and may comprise a container used to contain a mattress or elevate the level of the trunk floor providing elevated ergonomics for better quality relaxation or sleep is determined. A method comprises: Optionally folding down a rear seat of a vehicle; folding of a parcel shelf and placing it with one end on about the back of the rear seat of the vehicle and placing the other end on the central console or the central console armrest of the vehicle; partly securing it from sliding or tipping by the back of a seat of a subsequent seat row of the vehicle.
In-vehicle bed assembly
An in-vehicle bed assembly includes a passenger seat having a seat cushion and an extendable leg rest, and a movable ottoman positioned in front of the passenger seat. When the leg rest extends from the passenger seat, the seat cushion, the extended leg rest, and the ottoman form a substantially flat surface for an occupant to lie in a horizontal position.
Aircraft Seat with Separated Seat Back and Seat Pan
An aircraft seat may include a seat back coupled to a shell of one or more passenger compartment shell sections of a passenger compartment installed within an aircraft cabin. The aircraft seat may include a seat pan coupled to a floor of the aircraft cabin proximate to an ottoman installed within the passenger compartment. The seat back may be in contact with a surface of the seat pan when the aircraft seat is in a first position. The seat back may be separated from the surface of the seat pan when the aircraft seat is in a second position. The seat back may be configured to move independently of the seat pan when the aircraft seat transitions between the first position and the second position.
ACTIVITY PROFILE APPLICATION AND PORTABILITY TO FACILITATE VEHICLE CABIN CONFIGURATION
Example methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture (e.g., physical storage media) to facilitate application and portability of activity profiles and vehicle cabin configuration are disclosed. An example method includes receiving an activity profile and a user setting associated with a user. The activity profile is one of multiple predetermined activity profiles selectable by or associated with the user. The method includes applying the activity profile and the user setting to the vehicle to adjust at least one characteristic of the vehicle's cabin to facilitate a performance of an activity during navigation of the vehicle and/or while the vehicle is stationary. The activity profile and the user setting may be received during, prior to, or after receipt of data indicative of the user's identity. Applying of at least the activity profile to the vehicle may be performed upon successful authentication of the user.
Integrated second row load floor air mattress
A seating assembly for a vehicle includes a seat operable between a lateral use position and a vertical storage position. A mattress is disposed below the seat when the seat is in the lateral use position and held in place by securing features. The mattress is operable between a deployed condition and a stowed condition. A fluid duct is disposed below a forward seat and in fluid communication with an HVAC system of the vehicle. The fluid duct is configured to move air into the mattress to affect the deployed condition of the mattress.
Seating arrangement of an autonomous automobile
A seating layout of an autonomous automobile, which is aligned in a roughly rounded, circular or elliptical arrangement is disclosed. The seating layout comprises of a seating area and a cabin structure to provide a unique travelling experience in terms of atmosphere and feelings for the passengers along with different aspects of travel such as comfort, safety, ergonomics, etc. The seating area and the cabin structure are aligned and assembled together in such a way that the passengers are oriented towards a common focal area. This arrangement stimulates interaction and in turn, provides a communal atmosphere to the passengers. The novelty of this layout in an autonomous automobile will result in a visually unique interior.
Seating cargo retention and lounging system
A vehicle interior system is provided herein. The vehicle interior system includes a seating assembly. The seating assembly includes a seatback that is pivotally coupled to a seat-base, and is operable between a use position and a stowed position. An anchoring feature is disposed vehicle rearward of the seating assembly. A hammock is coupled to the anchoring feature and is configured to extend therefrom and attach to the seating assembly when the seating assembly is in the stowed position.
FACE-TO-FACE CAR SEATS AND BED FORMED BETWEEN THEM
The present invention includes a rotating driver or passenger seat adjacent to a front dash of a car, truck, van or similar automotive vehicle having a first set/row of car seats facing forward in the position where a driver and passenger would typically sit and a second row of car seats (or a bench type) immediately behind the backs of the first row of car seats. The driver and/or passenger as seat of the first row of car seats can be adapted to rotate substantially 180 degrees and optionally be moved apart from the second row of car seats, thereby providing face-to-face interaction between the occupants of front row car seat and an occupant of the second row of car seats. Further, the face-to-face car seats are transformed into a horizontal bed surface adapted to provide a user with a flat surface upon which a user may lie on their back, side or stomach.
VEHICLE SOFA-BED AND METHOD OF USE
An adjustable sofa-bed assembly for use within a vehicle such as a van or RV. The sofa-bed includes a seat portion, a back portion, and either a permanently fixed base or a removable leg portion which allows the legs to be installed into the vehicle prior to installing the seat and back portions to allow for additional elements to be installed beneath the sofa-bed, such as power elements for a powered sofa-bed assembly or for other equipment. The sofa-bed can be transformed from a sofa configuration with an upright back portion to a bed configuration with a laid-flat back portion. When in the bed configuration, the seat portion and back portion are aligned such that there is no gap between the two portions and the two portions lie completely flat, forming a complete bed assembly.
