LINEAR RECLINER MECHANISM FOR A VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat including a pivot bracket, a back frame, a linear adjustment mechanism, a striker, and a latch. The back frame is pivotally connected to the pivot bracket and configured to pivot about a pivot axis. The back frame includes a first end spaced apart from the and disposed below the pivot axis. The latch is configured to selectively attach the linear adjustment mechanism to the first end of the back frame so that as the first linear adjustment mechanism translates, the back frame pivots from a first use position and a second use position, and selectively detach the linear adjustment mechanism from the first end of the back frame so that the back frame is pivotable to a non-use position.
LATCH DEVICE AND VEHICLE SEAT
A latch device includes a latch engageable with a rod portion of a striker, and is capable of transition to a locked state in which the latch is engaged with the rod portion and to an unlocked state in which the latch is disengaged from the rod portion, and includes a first shaft member that supports the latch in a manner that permits the latch to rotate, and a base member that supports the first shaft member. The base member is a unitary member which includes a first support wall disposed on one side of the latch and configured to support one end of the first shaft member, a second support wall disposed on an other side of the latch and configured to support an other end of the first shaft member, and a connecting wall that connects the first support wall and the second support wall.
VEHICLE SEAT AND VEHICLE SEAT MANUFACTURING METHOD
A vehicle seat includes a base provided on a floor; a seat back pivotably provided on the base; a seat cushion pivotably provided on the seat back; and a reclining drive unit connected to the base and the seat back to make the seat back pivot relative to the base, wherein the reclining drive unit is disposed more rearward than a front end of the seat cushion.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes a first hinge rotatably supporting a left seatback framework and a second hinge rotatably supporting a center seatback framework. The first hinge includes a first base bracket and a first hinge bracket continuous to the first bracket, and the second hinge includes a second base bracket and a second hinge bracket continuous to the second base bracket. Each of the first hinge and the second hinge has a frame bracket coupled to the corresponding seatback framework and a shaft about which the hinge rotates. An urging member is wound on the shaft. A joining part joins a distal end of the first hinge bracket of the first hinge to a distal end of the second hinge bracket of the second hinge.
Seat adjustment lever and mechanism
A seat adjustment first lever is adapted to be mounted to a first lateral end of a recline mechanism of a seatback. Rotation of the first lever about a pivot axis disengages the recline mechanism. The first lever includes a first lever input portion extending from the pivot axis for manual rotation of the first lever. A second lever input portion extends from the pivot axis and is sized to receive an input cable for actuation of the first lever from a remote location. A lever output portion extends from the pivot axis and is sized to receive an output cable to connect the first lever to a second lever on a second lateral end of the recline mechanism.
Control mechanism for lock pawl
A control mechanism for a lock pawl comprises an electric motor mounted in a housing that is connected with the seat backrest and has an output shaft with a worm gear engaging with the spur gearing of a transmission gear rotary-mounted on a transmission pivot and having on its frontal surface an eccentric selector pivot for controlling the pawl of the lock, swing-mounted on a pawl pivot between a blocking position, in which the pawl blocks a rotary ratchet of the lock from releasing a catch eye connected with the car bodywork, and an unlocking position, in which the pawl releases the rotary ratchet to release the catch eye, the pawl having a radial selector arm, which in the blocking position of the pawl interferes with the circular trajectory of the selector pivot to enable the selector pivot to engage with the selector arm, whereas the pawl has a radial control arm.
Vehicle seat
An adequate mechanical stiffness and strength are afforded to a tumble seat or a vehicle seat having a latch mechanism provided in a rear end of the seat cushion. A cushion frame (F1) of the seat includes a side frame (5) extending in a fore and aft direction, and the side frame includes a first member (10) comprising a channel member having an open side facing sideways and a second member (11) attached to the first member so as to form a closed cross section jointly with the first member, and extending downward further than the first member. A latch mechanism is positioned under the first member and attached to the second member.
APPARATUS FOR RETAINING A SEAT BELT
Embodiments of the present invention provide a seat belt retainer for a vehicle, the retainer comprising a body having an opening, the body being configured for attachment to a support. An actuator is mounted within the opening, the actuator being moveable within the opening for actuating a seat latch mechanism. A guide is supported by the body, the guide defining an at least partial aperture for receiving a seat belt therethrough. The actuator and the guide are at least partly aligned along the longitudinal axis of the seat belt passing through the aperture, in use.
LOCKING MECHANISM FOR A BACKREST OF A VEHICLE
A locking mechanism for a vehicle backrest includes a rotary latch engageable over a locking striker fixed to the vehicle, a detent pawl for locking the movement of the rotary latch in a locking position, and a leaf spring. The leaf spring includes two edges attached to the mechanism in first and second support points, and is placed in the mechanism such that, in the locking position, the striker is pushed by the leaf spring in one point of a contact area defined between first and second ends. The leaf spring further includes a central reinforced area and two exterior non-reinforced areas, wherein the reinforced area has smaller elastic deformation than the non-reinforced areas. A first edge of the reinforced area is placed between the first support point and first end, and a second edge of the reinforced area is placed between the second support point and second end.
