Closing device for use in motor vehicles
A closing device for use in motor vehicles, in particular a backrest latch for locking and unlocking backrests in motor vehicles. The closing device is also provided with a multi-pawl locking mechanism substantially consisting of a catch, a comfort pawl that interacts with the catch and a blocking pawl that secures the comfort pawl. The catch includes an L-shaped insertion slot for a closing pin for forming at least a first closed position and a second closed position.
Pull-strap assembly for vehicle seat
A pull-strap assembly for actuating a recline mechanism of a vehicle seat includes a clevis having first and second pieces configured to snap into one another, wherein the pieces cooperate to define a cylindrical body and a cable connector. The assembly further includes a fixed anchor and a tension member having a fixed end connected to the anchor, an intermediate portion looped around the cylindrical body, and a free end. The clevis is configured to move towards the anchor responsive to the free end being pulled by a user to release the recline mechanism.
Seat lock apparatus
A seat lock apparatus that keeps a seat back of a vehicle in a locked state, and is at least partially covered with a cover, includes: a hooking member having an engaging groove that engages with a striker that enters from a back side; a shaft member that rotatably and pivotally supports the hooking member in a vicinity of a front end; a case member to which the shaft member is fixed; a striker entry groove formed on the case member and to which the striker enters; and a pair of projectional holding members provided respectively on both sides of the striker entry groove and projecting backward. Further, the cover is held by inserting the pair of projectional holding members into a holding member insertion hole provided on the cover.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat comprising: a seat base frame, anchoring means for anchoring to the floor of a vehicle, a backrest pivotably hinged to the seat base frame, a substructure pivotably hinged to the anchoring means and to the backrest, a front connecting rod pivotably hinged to the anchoring means and to the seat base frame, a sector gear pivotably hinged to the anchoring means, an irreversible electric motor configured to cause rotation of the sector gear relative to the anchoring means, a first locking means for locking the rotation of the substructure relative to the anchoring means, a second locking means for locking the rotation of the backrest relative to the substructure, a third locking means for locking the rotation of the front connecting rod relative to the sector gear.
Vehicle seat convertible into vehicle access and loading tool
A removable vehicle seat convertible from a seat configuration into a ladder or a ramp configuration and methods of converting the same. The seat may include a seat cushion having a back surface and a back end removably engaged with a floor of an interior of the vehicle in the seat configuration. The back surface may face and be positioned on a ground surface in the ladder or ramp configurations. The seat may include a seat back having a bottom end pivotally attached to the seat cushion. The bottom end may be oriented towards the back end. The seat back may be lockable in place relative to the seat cushion at an angle equal to or less than ninety degrees with at least one locking member. The seat may include a ladder or a ramp attached to the seat back usable to access or load the vehicle once converted.
Seat back and adjustable platform assembly
A method and an apparatus, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a seat back movable between an upright position and a folded position, and a platform coupled to the seat back with a support mechanism such that the platform is movable between a plurality of use positions when the seat back is in the folded position. The support mechanism includes at least one member that is selectively detached from the platform to provide at least one of the plurality of use positions.
Linear recliner mechanism for a vehicle seat
A vehicle seat including a pivot bracket, a back frame, a linear adjustment mechanism, a striker, and a latch. The back frame is pivotally connected to the pivot bracket and configured to pivot about a pivot axis. The back frame includes a first end spaced apart from the and disposed below the pivot axis. The latch is configured to selectively attach the linear adjustment mechanism to the first end of the back frame so that as the first linear adjustment mechanism translates, the back frame pivots from a first use position and a second use position, and selectively detach the linear adjustment mechanism from the first end of the back frame so that the back frame is pivotable to a non-use position.
LATCH DEVICE AND VEHICLE SEAT
A latch device includes a latch engageable with a rod portion of a striker, and is capable of transition to a locked state in which the latch is engaged with the rod portion and to an unlocked state in which the latch is disengaged from the rod portion, and includes a first shaft member that supports the latch in a manner that permits the latch to rotate, and a base member that supports the first shaft member. The base member is a unitary member which includes a first support wall disposed on one side of the latch and configured to support one end of the first shaft member, a second support wall disposed on an other side of the latch and configured to support an other end of the first shaft member, and a connecting wall that connects the first support wall and the second support wall.
Vehicle seat
An adequate mechanical stiffness and strength are afforded to a tumble seat or a vehicle seat having a latch mechanism provided in a rear end of the seat cushion. A cushion frame (F1) of the seat includes a side frame (5) extending in a fore and aft direction, and the side frame includes a first member (10) comprising a channel member having an open side facing sideways and a second member (11) attached to the first member so as to form a closed cross section jointly with the first member, and extending downward further than the first member. A latch mechanism is positioned under the first member and attached to the second member.
Vehicular latch assembly with latch mechanism having self-locking ratchet
A latch assembly for a vehicular latching system configured to provide an anti-chucking locking function in cooperation with a latch mechanism. The latch mechanism has a ratchet that is moveable by a striker between a striker release position, a striker capture position, and a striker over-travel position. A pawl is operable in a ratchet holding position to hold the ratchet when the ratchet is in the striker capture position and operable in a ratchet releasing position to release the ratchet to allow the ratchet to return to its striker release position. A latch release mechanism operates to move the pawl between its ratchet holding and ratchet releasing positions. The anti-chuck locking function is provided by the pawl having a lock tooth and the ratchet having a lock notch for locking engagement therebetween when the pawl holds the ratchet in its striker capture position for muting vibrations of the latch assembly.
