Seat latch assembly
A seat latch assembly is provided with a mounting plate with a pair of mounting apertures and a receptacle sized for receipt of a striker. A pair of bushings are each received within one of the pair of mounting apertures. A pawl is pivotally connected to a first bushing, with a latch hook to retain the striker in a latched position. An input member is operably connected to the pawl and oriented and sized relative to the receptacle to extend into the receptacle in an unlatched position to engage the striker and actuate the pawl to a latched position while moving relative to the pawl. A cover plate is mounted to the mounting plate with a guide formed therein. The input member cooperates with the guide to pivot and slide relative to the mounting plate and toward the first bushing during movement from the unlatched position to the latched position.
Locking device for a vehicle seat
A locking device for a vehicle seat is disclosed. The locking device comprises at least one tolerance compensating element and a second damping element provided for damping the movement of a bolt element received in the locking device. The elements are spaced apart from one another in the direction of the action of force effected by the bolt element, such that under normal conditions the tolerance compensating element acts in a damping manner and the second damping element additionally provides a damping action under the action of high dynamic force.
Seatback rotating device
Provided is a seatback rotating device. The seatback rotating device includes an electric motor and an application mechanism. The electric motor generates a rotational force that is used to rotationally displace a seatback of a vehicle seat. The application mechanism enables application of the rotational force to the seatback. The application mechanism has a configuration that enables the seatback to be self-rotatable with gravity applied to the seatback in response to the rotational force being applied to the seatback.
Cargo area partition system for a vehicle
A cargo area partition system for a vehicle includes a rear seat positioned within a cabin area of the vehicle and adjacent a cargo area in the vehicle. The rear seat includes a rear seat back that is pivotally positionable between an upright position and a substantially horizontal position. The system further includes a seat striker adapted to engage and to releasably fix the rear seat back in an upright position, and a partition panel configured to releasably engage the seat striker and define a partition in the cargo area when the rear seat back is positioned in the substantially horizontal position.
Latching device for motor vehicle applications
A latching device for motor vehicle applications, in particular to a multi-position backrest latch for locking and unlocking seat backrests in motor vehicles. The basic structure of the device has a locking mechanism substantially consisting of a catch and pawls, and also has a locking pin that interacts with the locking mechanism, and a cam element, which acts upon the locking pin in the direction of an open position. According to the invention, the cam element acts on a blocking element which engages over the locking pin.
MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT LOCKING DEVICE
A motor vehicle seat locking device, in particular a rear seat backrest locking device, equipped with a retaining bracket that is connected to a vehicle body and can move relative thereto, and with a catch, seat-mounted, for the retaining bracket. According to the invention, the retaining bracket is connected to a rocker that can pivot with respect to a vehicle body-mounted base, about an axis that is at a distance from the bracket.
MOTOR VEHICLE REAR SEAT BACKREST PROVIDED WITH A STIFFENING PLATE
The present invention concerns a motor vehicle rear seat backrest suitable for being mounted in such a way that it can pivot on the structure of said vehicle between a raised position and a substantially horizontal stowed position, said backrest comprising a reinforcement (30) comprising a metal frame (32) and an array of metal wires (33) extending between the two uprights and between the two crossmembers of said frame (32), and a padding (40) supported by the front part of said reinforcement (30) and a cover (50) externally covering said reinforcement (30) and said padding (40); further comprising a stiffening plate (60) held via holding means (54; 55) against the inner face of the back (52) of said cover (50) and bearing against the rear part of said reinforcement (30).
Vehicle Seat
An adequate mechanical stiffness and strength are afforded to a tumble seat or a vehicle seat having a latch mechanism provided in a rear end of the seat cushion. A cushion frame (F1) of the seat includes a side frame (5) extending in a fore and aft direction, and the side frame includes a first member (10) comprising a channel member having an open side facing sideways and a second member (11) attached to the first member so as to form a closed cross section jointly with the first member, and extending downward further than the first member. A latch mechanism is positioned under the first member and attached to the second member.
LATCH DEVICE AND VEHICLE SEAT
A latch device includes a latch engageable with a rod portion of a striker, and is capable of transition to a locked state in which the latch is engaged with the rod portion and to an unlocked state in which the latch is disengaged from the rod portion, and includes a first shaft member that supports the latch in a manner that permits the latch to rotate, and a base member that supports the first shaft member. The base member is a unitary member which includes a first support wall disposed on one side of the latch and configured to support one end of the first shaft member, a second support disposed on an other side of the latch and configured to support an other end of the first shaft member, and a connecting wall that connects the first support wall and the second support wall.
SEAT LOCK APPARATUS
A seat lock apparatus that keeps a seat back of a vehicle in a locked state, and is at least partially covered with a cover, includes: a hooking member having an engaging groove that engages with a striker that enters from a back side; a shaft member that rotatably and pivotally supports the hooking member in a vicinity of a front end; a case member to which the shaft member is fixed; a striker entry groove formed on the case member and to which the striker enters; and a pair of projectional holding members provided respectively on both sides of the striker entry groove and projecting backward. Further, the cover is held by inserting the pair of projectional holding members into a holding member insertion hole provided on the cover.
