DAMPED SHOCK-ABSORBING SEAT
A damping member (1) which has at least two engagement points (2), wherein the damping member (1) has an absorption means, wherein fastening elements (3) are arranged on the damping member (1), and wherein an additional absorption means (4) is provided which brings about shock absorption together with the absorption means.
VEHICLE SEAT
An assembly includes a seat bottom including a panel pivotable from a first position to a second position. The assembly includes a track supported by the seat bottom. The assembly includes a spring in the track and urging the panel toward the second position. The assembly includes a pyrotechnic actuator maintaining the spring in compression and actuatable to release the spring.
Biomimetic armrest substrate for a vehicle armrest assembly
A vehicle door includes a trim panel coupled to a frame. A single-piece armrest substrate is coupled with the frame. The armrest substrate is a three-dimensionally printed member having interior walls that are printed within the armrest substrate according to a virtual force model generated during a virtual impact scenario. The interior walls define a plurality of voids defined within the armrest substrate.
Lateral shock absorber and child car safety seat therewith
The present invention discloses a lateral shock absorber disposed on a base of a child car safety seat. The lateral shock absorber includes a protective fender. An end of the protective fender is pivoted to the base, so that the protective fender is pivotally switchable between a folded state and an unfolded state relative to the base. The unfolded protective fender can collide with a car body during a side impact collision for transferring a side impact to the base and away from a child sitting in the child car safety seat. Therefore, it can effectively reduce a risk of injury or death of the child due to the side impact and provide enhanced protection for the child. Furthermore, the lateral shock absorber has advantages of simple structure and easy operation. Besides, the present invention further discloses a child car safety seat with the aforementioned lateral shock absorber.
ENERGY ABSORPTION DEVICE FOR AN OCCUPANT IN VEHICLE SEAT
A restraint system for a vehicle is disclosed. The restraint system includes a seat shaped to accommodate an occupant, wherein the seat includes a seat back and an energy absorption member that expands from a stowed position and into a deployed position. The energy absorption member fills a volume of space behind the seat back when in the deployed position to absorb energy that would otherwise be imparted towards an occupant of the seat during an impact involving the vehicle. The restraint system also includes an impact sensing device generating an impact signal in response to detecting the impact involving the vehicle is imminent. The impact signal indicates an orientation and magnitude of the impact involving the vehicle. The restraint system includes a control module in electronic communication with the energy absorption member and the impact sensing device.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A child safety seat includes a seat shell having two sidewalls respectively provided at a left and a right side for restricting sideways movement of a child on the seat shell, a buffering part movably connected with the seat shell, a retaining mechanism and a release mechanism. The buffering part is movable between a first position corresponding to a stowed state where the buffering part is retracted toward one of the sidewalls, and a second position corresponding to a deployed state where the buffering part protrudes sideways from the sidewall. The retaining mechanism is operable to hold the buffering part in the first position. The release mechanism includes an operating device that is disposed adjacent to a thigh region of the seat shell and is operatively connected with the retaining mechanism, the operating device being operable to release the buffering part from the hold of the retaining mechanism.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat that can suitably protect a seated occupant against an impact from a seat width direction is described, while enlargement of the seat in the seat width direction is restrained. A support member provided to the vehicle seat supports the seated occupant from a side of the seated occupant, and includes an inner plate attached to a seat width direction inner side of a side frame, an outer plate attached to a seat width direction outer side of the side frame, and a connection plate for connecting the inner plate and the outer plate on a seat front side. The outer plate is attached to the seat width direction outer side of the side frame at a position that does not overlap in the seat width direction with attachment positions of the inner plate and the side frame.
Seat comprising a swivel armrest module
A vehicle seat having a backrest, a seat extending in a transverse direction from a first side edge to a second side edge, and a seat module. The armrest module includes a body and an armrest supported by this body, and is able to move relative to the seat between a home position where the armrest laterally extends the seat or is lower than the seat so as to be able to receive an occupant, and a rest position where the armrest is higher than the seat so as to be able to receive the arm of the occupant sitting on the seat. The armrest module has a substantially flat shape in a vertical plane, and has a thickness extending in the transverse direction.
OCCUPANT PROTECTION APPARATUS
An occupant protection apparatus includes an airbag, an upper holder, and a tension member. The airbag is disposed along side surfaces of a seat from an upper part of the seat into space under a seat surface. The upper holder is configured to hold an upper part of the airbag and disposed between and above shoulders of an occupant to sit on the seat in a right-to-left direction. The tension member is configured to, upon deployment of the airbag, apply a tensional force to a lower part of the deploying airbag to pull the lower part in a direction opposite to a side surface on which the airbag is deployed.
Seat frame
The present disclosure describes a seat frame including a waist portion supporting member having a smaller size while stably supporting a waist portion of an occupant. A vehicle seat frame serving as a frame for a vehicle seat includes a seat cushion frame forming a frame of a sitting part of the vehicle seat, a seatback frame forming a frame of a backrest part of the vehicle seat, and a waist portion supporting member coupled to a lower frame which is included in the seatback frame. The waist portion supporting member has a coupling region extending in the seat width direction, the coupling region being coupled to the lower frame, and a waist portion supporting region extending from the coupling region toward the seat cushion frame and supporting a waist portion of an occupant. The waist portion supporting region is longer in the seat width direction than the coupling region.
