Vehicle body structure
A vehicle includes: a partition that separates a driver cabin into which a driver climbs and a passenger cabin into which a passenger climbs and that is coupled to a roof and a floor; a driver's seat base member to which a driver's seat is fixed; and a side support member that is coupled to the partition and the driver's seat base member and partially located on a lateral side of the buttocks or the hips of the driver seated in the driver's seat. A shoulder anchor of a driver's seatbelt device and a shoulder anchor of a passenger's seatbelt device are fixed to the partition. A side support member restrains the driver from moving in a left-right direction and retains the driver in the driver's seat.
System and method for adjusting an interior configuration of a vehicle in response to a vehicular accident
A system and method are provided for controlling an interior configuration of a vehicle. The system may include an interior vehicle component; an actuator component configured to adjust/restrict movement of a physical configuration of the interior vehicle component; one or more sensors configured to collect data corresponding to a state of the vehicle, an action of the vehicle, and/or an internal or external environment of the vehicle; and one or more processors configured to receive sensor data and detect, by processing the sensor data, a vehicle accident condition. After the one or more processors detect the vehicle accident condition, the one or more processors may cause the actuator component to adjust the interior vehicle component from a first physical configuration to a second physical configuration, or may cause the actuator component to restrict movement of the interior vehicle component to a predetermined range of physical configurations.
Vehicle seat
A seating posture is stabilized for the shoulders of a passenger seated on a vehicle seat. A vehicle seat is provided with a seat back configured to support the seated person from the rear. A shoulder support portion of the seat back configured to support a corresponding one of the shoulders of the seated passenger includes an air cell configured to expand when air is supplied. When the air cell expands, one end portion of the shoulder support portion on the outside in the width direction of the vehicle seat moves more forward than the other end portion of the shoulder support portion on the inside in the width direction.
Extendible protective element for use in a child safety seat
An extendible protective element (10) for use in a child safety seat is disclosed. The extendible protective element comprises a first thread component comprising a first external thread and a first internal thread, and a second thread component comprising a second external thread, wherein the first thread component is rotatably connected to the second thread component via the first internal thread of the first thread component and the second external thread of the second thread component.
Child restraint system with side impact bumper
A child restraint system includes a shell including an aperture formed therein. The child restraint system further includes a head support member disposed with at least a portion of the shell. The child restraint system further includes a bumper configured to extend through the aperture and contact a part of the head support member when a force is applied to the bumper.
FORKLIFT
A forklift includes a cabin and a seat for use by a driver arranged in the cabin. The cabin has a lateral opening to enter and exit the cabin, and the seat is mounted rotatably relative to the cabin. There is a safety bracket for preventing the driver from involuntarily exiting the cabin through the lateral opening, and for providing lateral impact protection. The safety bracket is mechanically connected to the seat to be rotatable together with the seat.
Deformable seat bracket
A system for securing a seat within a vehicle may include a seat bracket with a first portion configured to be attached to a structural frame of a vehicle by a first fastener passing there through, a second portion configured to be attached to a seat installed in the vehicle by a second fastener passing there through, and a third portion attaching the first portion to the second portion. The third portion may include a U-shaped bend, and the first portion may be configured to receive the second fastener there through. The second portion may include a hole for the second fastener to pass through, and the first portion may include a hole for the second fastener to pass through. The first portion may define a fracture propagation region disposed proximate the hole for the second fastener.
Child Safety Seat
A child safety seat includes a seat shell having two sidewalls respectively provided at a left and a right side of the seat shell for restricting sideways movement of a child sitting on the seat shell, the two sidewalls including a first and a second sidewall, a buffering part movably connected with the seat shell, the buffering part being movable between a stowed position where the buffering part is retracted toward the first sidewall, and a deployed position where the buffering part protrudes sideways from the first sidewall, and a latching mechanism including a latch carried with the buffering part, the latch being movable relative to the buffering part between a locking state for locking the buffering part in position relative to the seat shell and an unlocking state for unlocking the buffering part so that the buffering part is rotatable relative to the seat shell.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat including: a seat back including a top plate main part configured to support a body of a seated person from the rear side and a top plate side part configured to protrude more forward than the top plate main part to support the body of the seated person from the lateral side; a side adjuster configured to move the top plate side part between a protruding position in which the top plate side part protrudes more forward than the top plate main part and a retracted position in which the top plate side part is retracted from the protruding position; and a controller configured to, in a case where a side collision of a vehicle is detected, drive and control the side adjuster so that the top plate side part is in the protruding position.
Seat assembly with pivotable armrest
A seat assembly for a vehicle includes a seat frame. The seat assembly includes an armrest. A hinge pivotally connects the armrest to the seat frame. The armrest includes an upper extension extending upwardly from the hinge and a lower extension extending downwardly from the hinge. The seat assembly includes a deformable member between the seat frame and the lower extension of the armrest. The deformable member is deformable relative to the seat frame and the armrest.
