Automotive seatback air vent
10479241 · 2019-11-19 · ·

A fixed frame supports a movable seat structure. The movable seat structure is configured to move relative to the fixed frame. An air duct supported by the fixed frame supplies an air vent positioned on a rearward side of the fixed frame with air. Movement of the movable seat structure relative to the fixed frame has no effect on the position or orientation of the air vent.

Air-conditioning device for vehicle seat
10471801 · 2019-11-12 · ·

An air-conditioning device for a vehicle seat has a seat, an air conditioning duct, a floor-side connection part, a seat-side connection part, and a connection duct. A position of the seat is adjusted in a front-rear direction. The air conditioning duct guides air, which is supplied from an interior air-conditioning unit, to a lower side of the seat. The floor-side connection part is provided in a vehicle-compartment floor on the lower side of the seat and connects to a downstream side of the air conditioning duct in an air flow direction. The seat-side connection part is provided in a seat bottom surface. The connection duct has one end portion connecting to the floor-side connection part and an other end portion connecting to the seat-side connection part. The seat-side connection part transfers across the floor-side connection part in the front-rear direction when a position of the seat is adjusted in the front-rear direction. The connection duct is deformable and stretchable. The floor-side connection part and the seat-side connection part are arranged at different positions in a left-right direction when viewed from a front side of a vehicle.

FLOW RATE PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZING TYPE BIDIRECTIONAL BLOWER

A bidirectional blower may include a blower body having a scroll rib making a length of an entire perimeter scroll guiding air flow in an internal space to an outlet end portion where air discharge is performed, and a fan in which a blade having an inlet angle of an acute angle and an outlet angle of an obtuse angle draws external air into the internal air, thereby realizing the characteristics of lowering an operating noise by preventing a generation of vortex while enhancing air volume performance suitable for a ventilation seat.

MOISTURE DETECTION AND REGULATION IN A VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPONENT

A moisture detection and regulation system is disclosed for a vehicle interior component having a section of material with a moisture absorbent material structure. The system includes a sensing device configured to detect a level of moisture in the section of material. The system also includes a moisture removal element configured to dissipate moisture from the section of material. The system additionally includes an electronic controller fixed to the vehicle structure and in operative communication with each of the sensing device and the moisture removal element. The controller is configured to receive a signal from the sensing device indicative of the detected level of moisture in the section of material and activate the moisture removal element when the detected level of moisture is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold level of moisture. A vehicle having such a moisture detection and regulation system is also disclosed.

VENTILATED VEHICLE SEAT WITH PASSIVE VENT PANEL
20190329681 · 2019-10-31 ·

A ventilated vehicle seat includes a vent panel underlying an air permeable trim cover. The vent panel includes a vent that is closed to block air flow when the seat is unoccupied and open to permit air flow when an occupant is on the seat. Opening and closing of the vent is actuated by the weight of the seat occupant. Multiple openings can be spaced along the vent so that forced air flows primarily through vent openings directly alongside the legs or torso of the seat occupant. An effective passive vent panel can be easily made from a sheet of polymeric material with a series of elongated slits cut through the sheet.

Seat ventilation device and a ventilated seat thereof comprising a foam layer and a ventilating duct, wherein the air outlet of the ventilating duct is embedded in the bottom of the foam layer, and the air inlet of the ventilating duct is externally connected with a fan system.

SEAT AIR-CONDITIONING DEVICE
20190283527 · 2019-09-19 ·

A seat air-conditioning device provided in a compartment of a vehicle that supplies air generated by a blower includes a pad wrapped in the skin and a ventilation sheet which is formed in a thin plate shape and supplies air to the seated passenger. An internal space is formed in the pad. The pad includes a seating side communication part that communicates the internal space with the seating surface of the skin, and a blower side communication portion that communicates the internal space with the blower. The ventilation sheet is disposed in the internal space.

VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
20190283636 · 2019-09-19 ·

A vehicle air conditioning system includes: a vehicle seat provided with a seat cushion having a side surface that is curved inward with respect to a widthwise direction as the side surface extends upward; an air conditioning unit configured to adjust a temperature of air and discharge temperature-adjusted air; and a blowing opening provided to open upward at a position along the side surface of the seat cushion and blowing the air discharged from the air conditioning unit.

Ventilated vehicle seat

An occupant support adapted for use in a vehicle includes a cushion, an air-permeable cushion cover, and a ventilation unit. The cushion is adapted to support an occupant on the occupant support. The air-permeable cushion cover is arranged around at least a portion the cushion. The ventilation unit is configured to selectively cool the occupant of the occupant support with convective cooling through the air-permeable cushion cover.

VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONER

A vehicle air conditioner includes: an air conditioner unit that generates conditioned air; a first duct that carries the conditioned air toward a vehicle upper side portion of the rear seat; a second duct that carries the conditioned air toward inside of a front seat of the vehicle; a switch device that switches between a first state that permits the conditioned air to flow into the second duct and restricts from flowing into the first duct, and a second state that permits the conditioned air to flow into the first duct and restricts from flowing into the second duct; occupant detection device that detecting whether a rear seat occupant is seated; and a controller, based on a detection result, controls the switch device to the first state when no rear seat occupant is seated, and to the second state when an occupant is seated at the rear seat.
