Vehicle seat having a backrest with a fan and a lumber plate
A vehicle seat includes: a seat back having an upper frame; a fan provided in the seat back; a lumbar plate that is provided in the seat back and elastically supports a waist of a seated occupant from a rear side; and a support member that elastically supports the fan in an area at a height between the lumbar plate and the upper frame.
Seat with a cylindrical ventilation fan
A ventilated seat having a jounce zone, including a seat jounce zone and a back jounce zone, configured to deform when the ventilated seat and an occupant are subjected to a dynamic force includes a frame, a seat portion, a back portion, and a cylindrical blower. The seat portion is connected to the frame and has a porous seat cover portion and the seat jounce zone. The back portion is connected to the frame and has a porous back cover portion and the back jounce zone. The cylindrical blower is attached to the frame, is disposed at least partially outside of the jounce zone, and is operatively connected to one of the porous seat cover portion and the porous back cover portion such that air flows through the respective porous cover portion to provide ventilation to the ventilated seat.
DEVICE FOR VENTILATING A VEHICLE SEAT AND USE OF SAID DEVICE FOR A PASSENGER VEHICLE SEAT
A device for ventilating a vehicle seat having a cushion (12) which is resilient with respect to user contact and which is constructed to form a seat and/or back contact face (24) and which has an air flow channel (16, 17) which forms an air outlet (15) in the direction toward the seat or back contact face, an air-permeable covering unit (18) which is formed in order to at least partially cover the air outlet and which is preferably constructed so as to be rigid and/or grid-like, and a ventilator rotor (30) which is associated with the air flow channel and which is driven in an electro-motive manner and a ventilator unit (14) which has a ventilator housing (32) which at least partially radially surrounds the ventilator rotor, characterized in that the covering unit and the ventilator unit are fixed on or in the cushion with spacing from each other along the air flow channel and without direct connection of portions of the covering unit and the ventilator unit, and the ventilator housing has at the peripheral and/or outer side first fixing means (34; 32; 80) which are constructed in order to secure the ventilator unit in the air flow channel by engaging in and/or in order to cooperate with second fixing means (12; 70; 74) which are provided on or in an inner wall portion of the air flow channel.
VENTILATED VEHICLE SEAT WITH BLIND COUPLING AND RELATED METHOD
A manifold is coupled to a foam core with a primary manifold opening with a blind coupling fixedly positioned adjacent the B-side of the foam core. Front and rear hook members extend from a coupling frame of the blind coupling. Front and rear lips are positioned on opposite sides of a blower opening with a domed framework. The front hook members are positioned relative to the coupling frame to hook the front lip to provide fore and aft positioning of the blind coupling relative to the blower opening. The front hook members are designed to slide laterally along the front lip and to cause the coupling frame to engage the domed framework to provide lateral positioning of the blind coupling relative to the blower opening.
SEAT AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
A seat air conditioning system includes: a seat pad that constitute a seat on which a user is seated and that is resiliently deformed to support the user on a surface-side of the seat pad, the seat pad including ventilation passages that open respectively on the surface-side; a surface cover that has air permeability and is disposed to cover the surface-side of the seat pad; an air outlet at which airs blown out respectively from the ventilation passages meet; and a blower that includes a suction port located on a rear surface-side of the seat pad to be connected to the air outlet and that suctions air from the surface cover-side through the ventilation passages, the air outlet, and the suction port. The air blown out from the air outlet is straightened to flow into the suction port.
Ventilated and heated vehicle seat assembly
A vehicle seat assembly in which an impervious insert (41, 141) including a heating element and having a plurality of channels (42, 142) extending from an aperture (44, 144) positioned on a first side of at least one of a seat cushion (22) and a seat back (124) and in which a ventilation system (60) is coupled to a second side of the at least one of the seat cushion and the seat back for drawing air along the plurality of channels through the aperture and through a hole (30, 130) in the seat cushion or seat back for controlling the temperature of the seat assembly.
Suspension fabric seat cooling system
A seat and cooling system for the seat include a porous seat surface, an air spacer disposed on a side of the seat surface that defines an air channel, a substantially air impermeable barrier having an opening therein in communication with the air channel and a blower configured to draw air through the seat surface and from the air channel. Air drawn from around an occupant on the seat surface draws moisture from the occupant, causing moisture to evaporate, to provide a cooling sensation.
AIR-PERMEABLE SEAT AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM OF SEAT
An air-permeable seat having a seat cushion and a seatback, each formed by mounting an urethane pad on a frame and then covering the urethane pad with an air-permeable trim cover, the air-permeable seat includes a fiber pad provided in at least one of the seat cushion and the seatback and penetrating a part of the urethane pad; a chamber defined at the back of the fiber pad, covering the fiber pad and shaped to rectify an airflow coming from the fiber pad; and air intake parts flow the air in the fiber pad and introduce the air from the fiber pad into the chamber; wherein as the air intake parts is driven, air is drawn from the surface of the fiber pad through the trim cover, flows from the fiber pad to the chamber, may be rectified in the chamber and flow out through the chamber.
