Dual-bearing reel and clutch mechanism thereof
A clutch mechanism includes a clutch portion and a pinion gear. The pinion gear has an engaging part and a gear part. The engaging part is located on a first end as a spool-side end of the pinion gear and is capable of being engaged with the clutch portion. The gear part is meshed with the drive gear. The gear part has helical teeth enabling the pinion gear to be urged toward the spool by the drive gear. The engaging part has a bottom and a first wall. The first wall extends from the bottom toward the first end and tilts in the same direction as the helical teeth with respect to the spool shaft such that the pinion gear is urged oppositely to the spool by the clutch portion when the engaging part is engaged with the clutch portion and receives transmission of rotation in a fishing-line releasing direction from the spool.

Fishing reel drive gear and fishing reel pinion gear meshed with same
A drive gear for a spinning reel is meshed with a pinion gear. The drive gear has a gear body, a plurality of drive gear teeth and a waveform regulating part. The gear body is mounted onto a drive shaft. The plurality of drive gear teeth are disposed on an outer peripheral side of the gear body, are circumferentially disposed at intervals and are meshed with the pinion gear. The waveform regulating part is disposed on at least a part of the plural drive gear teeth, and is configured to regulate a waveform of a vibration produced in meshing in an irregular pattern. The waveform regulating part is configured to regulate the waveform in the irregular pattern by having at least one feature of the drive gear teeth be different from the rest of the drive gear teeth, the at least one feature being selected from the group consisting of a pressure angle, a pitch, a torsion angle, a tooth profile shape and a tooth trace shape.

Locking fishing reel seat
A reel seat for fishing rods is provided. The reel comprises a body, a sliding hood, a linkage, and a lever. The lever actuates the sliding hood to compressively secure a fishing reel to the fishing rod.
Reciprocating mechanism for a fishing reel and a fishing reel
A level winding mechanism for a dual-hearing reel is equipped with a worm shaft including intersecting spiral grooves and an engagement pin, and a torque limiting mechanism. The engagement pin engages the spiral grooves. The torque limiting mechanism limits the rotational drive force which rotates the worm shaft. At least a portion of the worm shaft is made of synthetic resin.

Fishing reel having openable side cover
A reel includes a reel body that has opposite first and second ends and a reel body opening at the second end. A line guide support shaft is affixed to the reel body and extends between the first and second ends and defines a bore extending through a first end that is approximate the second end of the reel body. A shaft is disposed within the bore for reciprocation and rotation within the bore. A side cover is affixed to shaft for conjoint movement therewith between open and closed positions, wherein in the closed position the side cover is engaged with the second end of the reel body and closes the reel body opening, and wherein is the open position the side cover is disengaged from the second end of the reel body and the reel body is open.
SPINNING REEL
A spinning reel that forwardly releases a fishing line includes a reel unit, a handle, a drive shaft, a joint structure, and a rotation transmission mechanism. The handle includes a handle shaft and a handle arm, the handle shaft is rotatably supported by the reel unit at a first position, and the handle arm is mounted to the handle shaft and is unitarily rotatable with the handle shaft. The handle arm extends in a radial direction from a rotational axis of the handle shaft. The drive shaft includes a first end and a second end disposed opposite to the first end, and is rotatably supported by the reel unit at a second position different from the first position. The joint structure joins the handle shaft and the drive shaft, and the handle shaft is unitarily rotatable with the drive shaft.
FISHING REEL EQUIPPED WITH REPLACEABLE HOOD TOP
Provided is a fishing reel equipped with a replaceable hood top. The fishing reel includes: a frame having a mount; two side covers coupled to both sides of the frame; a spool disposed inside the mount of the frame and coupled to the side covers through a shaft; a reel foot coupled to a bottom of the frame to be mounted on a fishing rod; a hood coupled to a top of the frame; a handle coupled to a side of the frame through a shaft to rotate the spool; and a tension nut disposed on a side of the frame to adjust a casting distance by controlling a rotational speed of a spool shaft. The hood has coupling portions, and a replaceable hood top is coupled to the coupling portions.
