Lordosis support
A lordosis support for seat back rests, includes a support plate (10) held between two frame legs (14) of the back rest by tension members (12) and having on each side at least one point of attack (22) for the respective tension member (12), and an adjusting device (24) for adjusting the tension force of the tension members (12), wherein the distance between the two points of attack (22) is adjustable and the adjusting device (24) is configured to change this distance.
Lumbar support system
An adjustable support system for a seat having a fixed frame includes a support movable from a first position to a second position relative to the frame. An actuator is coupled to only the support and is configured to move the support between the first and second positions. A member is operatively associated with and movable by the actuator. A flexible cable has a first end coupled to the member for travel along the length of the member and a second end coupled to the fixed frame such that movement of the member by the actuator causes the flexible cable to move the support between the first position and the second position.
Seat backrest
A seat backrest includes right and left side frame segments, a pressure receiving member disposed between the side frame segments movably in a front-back direction, and a cushion pad covering the front of the side frame segments and pressure receiving member. The pressure receiving member includes a main body part, and extending parts extending laterally from both sides of the main body part. The cushion pad includes a back receiving part covering the front of the main body part, and bank parts disposed on both sides of the back receiving part, protruding forward from both sides, and covering the front of the extending parts and side frame segments. A recess is formed at an area, facing a corresponding extending part of the extending parts, of a rear surface of each bank part.
SEAT MODULE FOR CABLE ARRANGEMENT
A seat module adapted to be attached to a seat having component for seat actuation in a motor vehicle includes at least one operating cable, and a module plate formed with a mounting feature for attaching to the seat and a retention feature for retaining at least one operating cable. Further, the operating cable is retained in the module plate in a pre-assembled state where the operating cable is retained by the module plate in a stowed condition, and the operating cable is released from the stowed condition and connected to the components of the seat in an assembled state where the module plate retaining the operating cable is attached to the seat.
VEHICLE SEAT SUBASSEMBLIES
Seat assemblies and subassemblies are disclosed. The subassemblies include massage and/or ventilation subassemblies that employ tubeless air distribution by fixing sheets together such as by heat-staking. The subassemblies also include a support structure for preassembling the massage, ventilation, and/or electronic components together prior to suspending them in a seat assembly.
Seat module
A seat module adapted to be attached to a seat having mechanical parts and electric devices for seat operation in a motor vehicle includes at least one operating cable for activating at least one device, and a cushion suspension module adapted to support a cushion of the seat having a plurality of cushion suspension wires for attaching to the seat and at least one module plates coupled with the cushion suspension wires. An end portion of the operating cable is temporarily stowed on the cushion suspension module in a pre-assembled state where the operating cable is attached to the cushion suspension module, and the end portion of the operating cable is connected to the electric devices and/or mechanical parts of the seat in an assembled state where the cushion suspension module with the attached operating cables is securely mounted to the seat.
Vehicle seat with morphing portions
A vehicle seat can be configured to selectively provide support to a vehicle occupant in conditions when lateral acceleration is experienced. An actuator can be located within the vehicle seat. When activated, the actuator cause a portion of the seat to morph into an activated configuration. The actuator can be activated based on vehicle speed, steering angle, and/or lateral acceleration. The actuator can include a main body member, a first end member pivotably connected to a first end region of the main body member, and a second end member pivotably connected to a second end region of the main body member. The actuator can include shape memory material connecting members. The actuator can be configured such that, in response to an activation input, the shape memory material connecting members contract, causing the first and second end members pivot, which causes the actuator to morph into an activated configuration.
Seat module for cable arrangement
A seat module attached to a seat having mechanical parts for seat actuation in a motor vehicle includes at least one mechanical control cable for the seat actuation, and a module plate formed with a mounting feature for attaching to the seat and a retention feature for attaching the mechanical control cable. An end portion of the mechanical control cable is temporarily stowed on the module plate in a pre-assembled state where the mechanical control cable is attached to the module plate, and the end portion of the mechanical control cable is connected to the mechanical parts of the seat in an assembled state where the module plate with the attached mechanical control cable is securely mounted to the seat.
