LUMBAR SUPPORT SYSTEMS FOR EJECTION SEAT
A lumbar support system for use in an ejection seat of an aircraft, comprising may comprise a pump; a plurality of bladders fluidly coupled to the pump; and a controller electrically coupled to the pump, the controller operable to: select a bladder in the plurality of bladders to fluidly isolate the bladder from a remainder of bladders in the plurality of bladders; and command the pump to inflate the bladder.
ADJUSTING DEVICE HAVING A SPINDLE DRIVE FOR A SEAT ELEMENT OF A VEHICLE SEAT
It is provided an adjusting device for a seat element of a vehicle seat supporting a body part of a seat user, with at least one driving device comprising a spindle drive and at least one adjustable support element for changing the contour or position of the seat element, wherein the spindle drive comprises a spindle extending along a spindle axis, which is floatingly mounted at a spindle end via a spindle holder such that at this spindle end the spindle is displaceable along at least one spatial direction extending transversely to the spindle axis. The spindle holder comprises a first and a second compensating element for a displaceability of the spindle end with respect to two first and second spatial directions extending approximately perpendicularly to each other and each perpendicularly to the spindle axis.
VEHICLE SEAT HAVING AN ADAPTABLE LATERAL SUPPORT AND METHOD FOR ADAPTING THE LATERAL SUPPORT OF A VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat having an adaptable lateral support and method of adapting lateral support are provided. The seat has a seat frame on which a seat cushion and/or a backrest cushion and at least one actuator is retained, wherein the seat cushion and/or the backrest cushion has at least one laterally arranged, resiliently deformable side wall cushion for the lateral support of a person sitting on the vehicle seat and the actuator is operationally connected to the side wall cushion and configured to apply a deformation force for the resilient deformation of the side wall cushion. The vehicle seat has a cable element which connects the side wall cushion to the actuator in a force-transmitting manner so that the actuator introduces the deformation force by tensioning the cable element directly from the cable element into the side wall cushion to deform the side wall cushion to change the lateral support.
LUMBAR SUPPORT FOR VEHICLE SEAT
Provided is a lumbar support disposed in a vehicle seat and supporting the user's lumbar vertebra. According to the present invention, there may be provided a lumbar support for a vehicle seat that includes: a support panel configured to support the user's back; first and second wires configured to support a lower portion of the support panel; a tow wheel winding the first and second wires on a circumferential surface thereof with ends of the first and second wires fixed thereto; and an actuator configured to rotate the tow wheel, in which the tow wheel has: a first wire guide groove extending around the circumferential surface to wind the first wire; and a second wire guide groove extending around the circumferential surface at a different position from the first wire guide groove in a thickness direction to wind the second wire. The lumbar support for a vehicle seat according to the present invention can improve sitting comfort by appropriately changing a force that supports the lumbar vertebra.
Articulating flexmat seat suspension
A vehicle seating assembly includes a frame, a front closeout panel supported on the frame and an articulating flexmat assembly operably coupled with at least one of the front closeout panel and the frame. The articulating flexmat assembly includes an upper flexmat extending from a first side of the frame to a second side of the frame. The upper flexmat includes an upper cable coupled with the upper flexmat and an upper cable regulating motor operably coupled with the upper cable. The articulating flexmat assembly also includes a lower flexmat extending from the first side of the frame to the second side of the frame. The lower flexmat includes a lower cable coupled with the lower flexmat and a lower cable regulating motor operably coupled with the lower cable.
Vehicle occupant protection device
A vehicle occupant protection device, that includes: a vehicle occupant protection control unit that, in a case in which a rear impact of the vehicle is predicted, effects control such that a seat of the vehicle approaches a rear impact protection attitude that protects a vehicle occupant from a rear impact, and that, in a case in which the vehicle is forcibly stopped, effects control such that a driver seat of the vehicle approaches closer to the rear impact protection attitude than in the case in which a rear impact of the vehicle is predicted.
Car seat lumbar support unit with simplified structure and improved responsiveness
A car seat lumbar support unit performs an elevating operation of an upper bracket relative to a lower bracket which determines a degree of curvature of a seat back by using a first motor, a first transfer screw, and a first nut member (first elevating unit) that are easily designed and manufactured, and performs an elevating operation of the lower bracket and the upper bracket which determines a curved position of the seat back by using a second motor, a second transfer screw, and a second nut member (second elevating unit), wherein a rotary cylinder is organically coupled so that the first elevating unit and the second elevating unit are independently operable without being restricted by each other.
Motorized adjustable back support for recliner
The invention relates to motorized adjustable back support for recliner chair comprising a back frame and means for transforming the power of a motor to a rotational movement of a horizontal rotation bar which is rotationally connected to the frame. The back support further comprises two adjustment arms each fixed on each side of the rotation bar close to the respective sides of the frame wherein the adjustments arms are parallel and have a flexible elongate unit stretching between their respective outer ends, and wherein the adjustment arms can move from a neutral to an extended position, corresponding to a rotation of the rotation bar. Furthermore the flexible elongate unit is rotationally connected to the end of each adjustment arm and the backrest comprises an incision into which the flexible elongate unit is positioned, wherein the incision starts near a rear bottom corner of the backrest over the full width of the backrest and extends upward and into the backrest in such a way that the flexible elongate unit is positioned where the lower back of a user is expected to be, wherein the incision is lined with a wear resistant, low friction material.
