The headrest support device (20) comprises a support member (22) coupled to a frame (2) of a seatback (1), and a headrest pillar structure including a pillar base portion (25) extending laterally and supported by the support member so as to be rotatable around an axial line of the pillar base portion, and a pair of pillar main body portions (26) extending substantially vertically from the pillar base portion substantially in parallel to each other in a laterally spaced apart relationship and connected to a headrest (24), wherein the support member is coupled to the frame at at least one coupling portion (34) disposed between the two pillar main body portions in front view in a headrest upright condition where the headrest is positioned above the seatback.
PERFORMANCE SEAT ASSEMBLY WITH IMPROVED ENTRY SYSTEM AND MODULAR HEAD RESTRAINT ASSEMBLY
A seat assembly includes a seatback frame pivotally coupled to a seat member at a recliner mechanism. A first actuator is supported on the seatback frame, and a second actuator is coupled to the seatback frame having upper and lower portions with an intermediate portion disposed between the upper and lower portions. A first cable interconnects the first actuator with the upper portion of the second actuator, and a second cable interconnects the recliner mechanism with the lower portion of the second actuator. The first actuator actuates movement of the second actuator between at-rest and actuated positions. The second actuator actuates movement of the recliner mechanism between locked and released positions. The first cable travels a first distance when the first actuator is actuated, and the second cable travels a second lesser distance when the first actuator is actuated.

The support wings are overmolded to the support member along with one or more attachment features to interconnect the front and rear panels to one another around the support member.
Gearbox for actuating a component of a vehicle seat
A gearbox for actuating at least one component of a vehicle seat. The gearbox includes a housing. An input pulley and an output pulley are rotatably coupled to the housing. A sun gear is attached to one of the pulleys. A ring gear is coupled to the housing and disposed about the sun gear. A plurality of planetary gears are attached to the other of the pulleys and are operably engaged with the sun gear and the ring gear. An input cable is coupled to the input pulley to rotate the input pulley in a first direction. An output cable is coupled to the output pulley and moves in a first direction in response to rotation of the input pulley. A biasing member is operatively connected to the output pulley to rotate the output pulley in a second direction opposite of the first direction to move the input cable.

Compact body support apparatus
A compact body support apparatus is provided for use with an armrest of a vehicle such as an airplane, train, or bus. The compact body support apparatus comprises a base, a support post, a housing, and a headrest cushion. The support post presents a lower end secured to the base and an upper end. The housing is secured to the upper end of the support post. The headrest cushion is secured to the housing for supporting a head of a user. The compact body support apparatus is configured to be selectively placed into a collapsed position and a deployed position, such that the support post and at least a portion of the base are disposed within the housing when the compact body support apparatus is in the collapsed position and the support post extends in a generally downward direction when the compact body support apparatus is in the deployed position.
SINGLE HANDED MULTI POSITIONAL LOCKING MECHANISM
The present disclosure relates to a rotation activation mechanism comprising: a release actuator; a first axle comprising a locking element fixedly attached to the first axle, the locking element configured to move between a locked position and an unlocked position; and a second axle comprising a rotation support plate fixedly coupled to the second axle, the second axle being parallel to the first axle, the rotation support plate configured to move between a folded position and an unfolded position when the the locking element is in the unlocked position; wherein when the locking element is in the locked position, the rotation support plate is fixed in the folded position or the unfolded position, and wherein a first input to the release actuator rotates the first axle which rotates the locking element from the locked position to the unlocked position; wherein a second input to the second axle rotates the rotation support plate between the folded position and the unfolded position when the locking element is in the unlocked position. The present disclosure further relates to a vehicle seat assembly including a foldable element.
