Vehicle Seat

An embodiment vehicle seat includes a seatback configured to support an occupant's upper body, the seatback including an upper seatback part and a lower seatback part, wherein the upper seatback part includes a tilting part pivotably hinged onto the lower seatback part so as to be tiltable forward and backward with respect to the lower seatback part as the upper seatback part is pivoted forward and backward about the lower seatback part, and a tilting device configured to tilt the tilting part forward and backward in conjunction with a reclining operation of the seatback, wherein the tilting device is configured to tilt the tilting part forward in conjunction with a backward reclining operation of the seatback.

HEAD RESTRAINT FOLLOWER

Reclining seat mounted on a foundation through first and second slides. The seat cushion is mounted on the first slide, and the seat back is mounted on the second slide. The slides, the seat cushion and the seat back are arranged to move together as one unit to have the seat recline. A head restraint is mounted at a top side of the seat back to follow and move with the back during movement of the back. The second slide has a non-linear curved shape to rotate the head restraint when the seat back moves. The curved shape rotates the headrest in a backward and downward direction when the seat back moves downward and the seat cushion moves forward, and vice versa. From the different seat positions, the head restraint follows the motion of the occupant as they move to the different seat positions.

A headrest, for a vehicle seat, is reversibly transferable between a first latching position and a second latching position by a translation movement. The headrest has a shaft co-rotating with the translation movement. The shaft is connectable in the first latching position and in the second latching position to a latching element. The latching element is connected to the shaft via an elastic component. A system for forming an alignment device which can be integrated in a headrest is further provided.

POWER HEAD RESTRAINT WITH FLEXIBLE CLOSEOUT COVER MEMBER

A vehicle seat includes a headrest assembly coupled to a seatback which has an adjustment mechanism for adjusting a headrest bun between extended and retracted positions. A plate member is positioned between the seatback and the headrest assembly and coupled to a substantially rigid frame through an extendable member. The adjustment mechanism comprises a linkage to move the plate member towards a deployed position.

HEADREST WITH AN IMPROVED ADJUSTMENT DEVICE

A headrest for a motor vehicle, including a base part for attachment to a backrest of a vehicle seat, a head part for contact with a head of a vehicle occupant, and an adjusting device between the base part and the head part for causing a substantially linear adjustment of the head part between a minimum and a maximum position. The adjusting device has an intermediate part and several pivot levers which pivot synchronously during adjustment and form a first articulated parallelogram between the head part and intermediate part and a second articulated parallelogram between the intermediate part and base part. The adjusting device includes a synchronizing lever for setting a relative orientation of the head part with respect to the base part during adjustment and wherein the headrest further has a latching device for fixing the headrest in a latching manner relative to the base part.

Headrest with an adjustment device

A headrest for a vehicle seat, comprises an adjustment device comprising at least two adjusting parts and a drive element movable along an axis, wherein the drive element is coupled to the adjusting parts via engaging drive contours which are defined for each of the adjusting parts describe at least one adjustment path, the adjustment path of at least one of the adjusting parts having a twist with respect to the axis and extending from the adjustment path of at least one other of the adjusting parts so that an axial movement of the driving member along the axis causes a relative rotation between the adjusting parts.

Power head restraint with flexible closeout cover member

A vehicle seat includes a headrest assembly having an adjustment mechanism for adjusting a fore and aft position of a headrest bun. A cover member is disposed below the headrest assembly and includes a plate member engaged with the adjustment mechanism that is operable between deployed and retracted positions. The plate member is moved towards the deployed position as the headrest bun is driven outwardly by the adjustment mechanism. First and second extendable members include first ends coupled to the plate member and second ends coupled to side members of a frame assembly. The extendable connectors include outwardly extending body portions that contort to retract the plate member as the headrest bun is driven inwardly by the adjustment mechanism.
