SMALL WATERCRAFT AND SIMILARLY SIZED ARTICLE TRANSPORT DEVICE AND METHOD
An article transport device including a wheelbase assembly and an article support assembly. The article support assembly includes a telescopic member that acts as a kickstand to unable one person loading of the article upon the transport. The wheelbase is modular in design to enable exchange of the article support assembly of differing configurations.
Paddleboard Rental Assembly
A paddleboard rental assembly includes a trailer and a plurality of locking stations that is each coupled to the trailer. Each of the locking stations releasably engages a paddleboard for securing the paddleboard to the trailer. A plurality of lock boxes is each of the lock boxes is attached to the trailer thereby facilitating each of the lock boxes to contain a life preserver. A plurality of pay stations is each attached to the trailer. Each of the pay stations has a card reader to read a financial transaction card for processing a payment. Respective locking stations are unlocked when the pay station associated with the respective locking station processes the payment to facilitate a patron to rent a paddleboard. A respective lock box is unlocked when the pay station associated with the respective lock box processes the payment to facilitate the patron to rent a lifejacket.
Apparatus and method for a self-activating stop for preventing watercraft from sliding off towing trailers
An apparatus and method for providing a self-activating stop device at the back of a hauling trailer for a boat. The apparatus is a compact, lightweight and durable U-shaped housing having a retractable stop element pivotably positioned therein. Through-holes in the housing permit the apparatus to be quickly and easily secured to bunkers or other framing at the trailer back end. The U-shaped housing's top surface can be easily aligned with the top surface of the bunk or framing while the stop element is biased in an upright position. When the boat is lifted out of the water and slid onto the bunker or framing, the boat's presence pivots the stop element down into the housing and once the transom of the boat passes over the stop element, the stop element self-activates, pivoting upward acting as a stop against the transom, thereby preventing the boat from sliding back off of the trailer.
Enclosed Boat Trailer
An illustrative embodiment of an enclosed boat trailer may be configured to allow loading of a boat in the water for the purpose of removing the boat from the water using the enclosed boat trailer to engage the boat for storage and/or transportation. An illustrative embodiment of an enclosed boat trailer may be comprised of a roller system positioned on the floor and a right and left rear arm adjacent a rear opening in the enclosed boat trailer. In an illustrative method of use, a boat operator may load and/or unload the boat into the water from the enclosed boat trailer without leaving the boat and without additional personnel.
Locking mechanism for tie down locking device
A locking mechanism for use on a ratchet assembly includes a ratchet assembly including a ratchet body, a ratchet axle, ratchet gears, and a ratchet handle, wherein the ratchet handle moves between a locked position and a released position; an aperture for receiving a drain plug; and a pin that extends through a throughhole in the ratchet body, wherein, when the handle is in the released position, the pin extends through the throughhole.
OUTBOARD MOTOR SUPPORT DEVICE
An outboard motor support device includes a transom connection mechanism, a pivot joint, and a motor support. The transom connection mechanism engages directly with a transom bracket to maximize stability and is configured to provide a consistently correct angular orientation of the motor support relative to the motor during use. In particular, the pivot joint adjustably aligns to the motor is a desired orientation during assembly to ensure a firm and “nested” engagement with the lower unit of the motor in the motor support. The motor support can be designed to fit specific motors, allowing for maximum stability and maximum surface area contact when properly aligned and engaged with the motor. The present outboard motor support device is formed as a single unit that provides vertical support as well as horizontal stabilization to the motor during transit, thereby also preserving the transom brackets and tilt/trim mechanism of the motor.
Boat trailer latch
A boat trailer latch includes a top plate, a bottom plate, a V-notch formed in a front portion of the top and bottom plates, and a latching element having a tooth. The latching element is sandwiched between the top and bottom plates and configured to rotate through the V-notch. The latch also includes a pawl having a rounded notch configured to lock in the tooth of the latching element and prevent the latching element from rotating. The latching element is configured to rotate in a first direction in response to a boat bow hook entering the V-notch so that as the latching element continues to rotate in the first direction the latching element closes behind the boat bow hook, and the tooth of the latching element engages the notch of the pawl so that the latching element is prevented from rotating in a second opposing direction and releasing the bow hook.
CONVERTIBLE UTILITY TRAILER AND BOAT APPARATUS
A utility trailer boat apparatus that is configurable between a first configuration as a boat and a second configuration as a utility trailer. The apparatus of the present invention includes a body having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion of the body is hingedly secured to the second portion of the body. Both the first portion and second portion of the body include a bottom and four walls wherein the first portion and second portion are similarly sized. In the first configuration the first portion and second portion are adjacent to each other in a linear arrangement. In the second configuration the first portion has been hinged over the second portion so as to be superposed thereto. A frame member is releasably secured to the bottom of the second portion and further includes a wheel assembly so as to provide movability of the apparatus.
Boat bow rock guard for boat trailer
A rock guard comprises a flexible sheet of mesh selectively wound around a spool to be selectively retracted and deployed in front of a trailer or its contents, such as a boat. A pair of brackets mount to a rail of trailer and carry the spool. A top distal edge of the sheet can be flexible and arcuate in the deployed configuration to form an arc matching a gunwale of the boat.
