A bunk bed apparatus is provided, having at least upper and lower bunks, and which encloses a storage area under the lower bunk when the lower bunk is usable for sleeping, and encloses a larger storage area under the upper bunk when only the upper bunk is usable for sleeping, the lower bunk being moved to form an enclosing wall of the larger storage area. The apparatus can be disposed within a vehicle, such as an RV, adjacent a closable opening to the exterior of the vehicle, which gives full access to both sizes of the storage area. The apparatus can be formed with a slideable end wall which contains a pocket for receiving and storing an access ladder for the upper bunk, and that end wall can form a closable opening for the storage area.

A support structure, in particular a bed structure, for a vehicle such as a recreational vehicle, having a support body with a support surface for supporting cargo or a person on the support surface and at least one lifting device with which the support body can be arranged in the vehicle in a suspended manner such that the support body can move relative to the vehicle in a movement direction. To achieve a high practicability, the support structure includes at least one securing device with which the support body can be secured to an inner vehicle wall of the vehicle in the movement direction.

A support structure, in particular a bed structure, for a vehicle such as a recreational vehicle, having a support body with a support surface for supporting cargo or a person on the support surface and at least one lifting device with which the support body can be arranged in the vehicle in a suspended manner such that the support body can move relative to the vehicle in a movement direction. To achieve a high practicability, the support structure includes at least one securing device with which the support body can be secured to an inner vehicle wall of the vehicle in the movement direction.

A structure such as a recreational vehicle includes a guide member coupled to a wall of the structure, a carriage member slidingly coupled to the guide member, a mounting bracket coupled to the carriage member, and a bed coupled to the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket can be coupled to the carriage member in a readily releasable manner. The mounting bracket can also be slidably received by a bed support member that is coupled to or part of the bed.

A structure such as a recreational vehicle includes a guide member coupled to a wall of the structure, a carriage member slidingly coupled to the guide member, a mounting bracket coupled to the carriage member, and a bed coupled to the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket can be coupled to the carriage member in a readily releasable manner. The mounting bracket can also be slidably received by a bed support member that is coupled to or part of the bed.

A bed lift system includes a first moving member and a second moving member coupled to a bed. A flexible drive member is coupled to the first moving member and the second moving member. The bed lift system is configured so that raising the first moving member exerts tension on the flexible drive member which raises the second moving member. Also, lowering the first moving member releases tension on the flexible drive member which lowers the second moving member.

A bed lift system includes a first moving member and a second moving member coupled to a bed. A flexible drive member is coupled to the first moving member and the second moving member. The bed lift system is configured so that raising the first moving member exerts tension on the flexible drive member which raises the second moving member. Also, lowering the first moving member releases tension on the flexible drive member which lowers the second moving member.

A bed arrangement is provided wherein the mattress is supported on a laterally slidable platform which is movable along guide tracks mounted to a support surface, between positions where the mattress overlays a side table and exposes more accessible floor space on the opposing side of the bed, to positions where the mattress does not overlay the side table and exposes floor space on each side of the bed. The support surface can be formed in an RV over a pass-through storage compartment having exterior access. In preferred embodiments, the bedroom of the RV has a side table integrally formed with the support surface on each side of a king-sized bed, and the mattress is slidable from one side wall to the other side wall, over the side tables alternatively, such that extra floor space can be exposed alternatively on both sides of the bed. The support platform can include a fixed interior storage cabinet at the foot of the mattress or an enlarged storage area under the mattress for conventional, removable luggage or storage containers. The bed arrangement for the mattress accommodates are variety of aesthetically pleasing floor plans configurations with a variety of attractive storage cabinets also mountable above the side tables and mattress.

This disclosure relates to accessories for motor vehicles with removable doors. In particular, the accessories may be mounted to a motor vehicle when a traditional, or factory, door is removed. Example accessories include covers, grab handles, tube doors, and pieces of furniture, each of which may include one or more lights or other electrically powered devices.

A truck cabin comprises a driver's seat, a bunk, and a frame, the frame comprising a rear structure delimiting the rear of the cabin along a longitudinal axis of the cabin. The bunk has the shape of a rectangular cuboid, with two parallel lateral faces, a front face, a rear face parallel to the front face, a lower face, and an upper face parallel to the lower face. The bunk is located between the driver's seat and the rear structure and extends along a transversal axis of the cabin, alongside the rear structure. The bunk is rotatable between a horizontal position, in which the upper face is horizontal and oriented upwardly, and a vertical position, in which the upper face is vertical. In the vertical position, the lower face of the bunk is oriented towards the rear structure and the upper face is oriented towards the driver's seat.
