Tension lock assembly for chain tie down assembly
A universal chain tie down assembly includes an anchor base and an associated turret, with a cannon pivotally connected to the turret. The proximal portion of a tensioning rod is associated with the cannon. The tensioning rod further includes a distal portion associated with a hub, along with a tool attachment portion that is configured for engagement by a tool for rotation of the tensioning rod. First and second arms of a constant tensioning device extend from proximal ends associated with the hub to distal ends spaced distally of the hub. A chain is associated with a distal end of the constant tensioning device, such as by being linked to the curved portion of a U-bolt of the constant tensioning device. A tension lock assembly and/or an anti-vibration assembly may be employed to prevent a vibration-induced change in the tension in the universal chain tie down assembly.

Device and method for providing a flexible strap for tightening cargo
Embodiments herein illustrate a cargo strap tightening device. The cargo strap tightening device includes a buckle assembly that comprises a strap webbing. The cargo strap tightening device includes a spring having high tension. Each end of the spring being coupled to the buckle assembly. Further the cargo strap tightening device includes at least two hook and loop connecting points and at least two shrink tubes to fasten the buckle assembly. The at least two shrink tubes are used to fasten the ends of the spring and the strap webbing when heat is applied on the shrink tubes. Furthermore, the cargo strap tightening device includes a protective sleeve to cover the spring.
Cam buckle
A buckle for fastening a load strap, comprising a buckle frame, a crossbar extending between side arms of the frame, and a pivotable cam arranged between the side arms. The crossbar forms part of a locking element, which is displaceable between a closed position, in which the crossbar extends between the side arms, and an open position, in which the crossbar is separated from at least one of the side arms, such that a load strap is laterally insertable between the cam and the crossbar. The displaceable locking element may provide great ease of access for laterally inserting a load strap. The integrity of the buckle frame is maintained, increasing the stiffness of the buckle and its ability to withstand tension from a load strap.
Drive attachment for a ratchet-type load binder to enable selective driving thereof with a handheld power tool
An attachment for a ratchet-type load binder includes a mounting frame arranged for mounting to the load binder at a location registered with a ratchet mechanism thereof, a slot defined by the mounting frame and arranged to extend angularly of the axis of the ratchet gear so as to be adapted to receive a handle of the ratchet mechanism in rotary movement relative to a body of the load binder, and a transmission member having a shaft extending along an axis of rotation of the transmission member and transmission elements carried on the shaft and projecting outwardly therefrom for meshing with the teeth of the ratchet gear. It is one aspect of the invention that the transmission member is movable from a drive position in which the transmission member meshes with the ratchet gear to an idle position in which the ratchet gear can rotate freely of the transmission member, so that conventional operation of the ratchet mechanism with the handle is still available without removing the attachment. It is another aspect of the invention that the mounting frame has a pair of separable portions so that the attachment can be mounted to an existing load binder by connection of the separable portions to one another when respectively located on the body of the load binder.
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR SECURING A LOAD IN A VEHICLE
A vehicle load-securing arrangement includes a first load-securing device arranged to be attachable to a load-securing member and a first tensioning device arranged to be attached to the first load-securing device by a first tensioning member. The first load-securing device is arranged to be connected to a vehicle body part or a vehicle chassis part. The first load-securing device is arranged to be movable in an axial direction of the first load-securing device in a first opening in a loading surface of a vehicle by operating the first tensioning device.
CAM BUCKLE
A buckle for fastening a load strap, comprising a buckle frame, a crossbar extending between side arms of the frame, and a pivotable cam arranged between the side arms. The crossbar forms part of a locking element, which is displaceable between a closed position, in which the crossbar extends between the side arms, and an open position, in which the crossbar is separated from at least one of the side arms, such that a load strap is laterally insertable between the cam and the crossbar.
The displaceable locking element may provide great ease of access for laterally inserting a load strap. The integrity of the buckle frame is maintained, increasing the stiffness of the buckle and its ability to withstand tension from a load strap.

A tensioning device includes a housing, a drive member, an inner sleeve, a driven member, a cable member, and a clutch assembly. The housing includes an attachment feature. The drive member is rotatably coupled with the housing. The inner sleeve is disposed in the housing and is coupled with the drive member. The inner sleeve is rotatable together with the drive member relative to the housing. The driven member is disposed within the housing and is operably coupled with the drive member. The clutch assembly facilitates selective coupling between the drive member and the inner sleeve. The cable member is coupled with the driven member. The driven member is slidably coupled with the inner sleeve such that the driven member and the cable member are slidable together between a retracted position and an extended position in response to rotation of the inner sleeve.
