Strap End Manager
20210122288 · 2021-04-29 ·

A strap end manager holds a loose cargo strap end against a tight portion of the strap. The manage fits over an end of a loose strap, and the loose strap is wound around the manager. Top and bottom, right and left wings, fold around the strap and around the tight portion, and secure the wound loose end. The wings may include hook and loop material to retain the wings around the wound loose end. The strap end manager may further be used to facilitate storing cargo straps in the same manner as for holding loose cargo strap ends.

SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR TRANSPORTING GOODS
20230406190 · 2023-12-21 ·

An HGV trailer (200) for transporting worktops (1), the trailer comprising: a deck (204) configured to receive an A-frame (100) for holding a worktop; a securing strap (326) for securing an A-frame to the deck; and a biasing element (322) attached to the securing strap and configured to bias the securing strap away from the deck. An A-frame (100) and a method (500) are also provided.

TENSIONING SYSTEM
20210061160 · 2021-03-04 ·

An improved tensioning system and method of restraining cargo is provided. The tensioning system is easy and quick to operate. The tensioning system is compact and minimises space within a cargo bay. The tensioning system allows a greater angular displacement of a tensioning line over conventional tensioning system, such as a ratchet and strap mechanism.

TOOL FOR REPLACING A STRAP OF A TIE-DOWN APPARATUS
20210016702 · 2021-01-21 ·

A tie-down apparatus includes a frame, a reel, a coils spring and a strap-replacing tool. The reel is supported on the frame. The coil spring includes an end connected to the frame and another end connected to the reel. The strap-replacing tool for gear includes a gear and a pawl. The gear is connected to the reel at an end and formed with teeth on a periphery. The is pawl engaged with the teeth of the gear so that the pawl prevents the gear from rotation in a first sense of direction and that the pawl allows the gear to spin in a second sense of direction opposite to the first sense of direction. The pawl keeps the gear in position against torque provided from the coil spring via the reel that tends to rotate the gear in the first sense of direction.

Ratcheting strap storage assembly
10875441 · 2020-12-29 ·

A ratcheting strap storage assembly for includes a box that has a first compartment and a second compartment. The first compartment contains a ratcheting mechanism of a ratcheting strap for storage. The second compartment contains a strap of the ratcheting strap being coiled therein for storage. A winding mechanism is rotatably coupled to the box and the strap of the ratcheting strap is coupled to the winding mechanism. The winding mechanism wraps the strap therearound when the winding mechanism is rotated in a winding direction to coil the strap within the second compartment for storage. The winding mechanism unwinds the strap when the winding mechanism is rotated in the unwinding direction to release the strap from the box.

Load hold-down device with retractable strap
10857930 · 2020-12-08 ·

A retractable strap load tie-down device includes a housing containing a tubular spool with a flat helical spring in its interior and a flexible tie-down strap wrapped on its exterior. The housing also includes a frame journaling a tensioning shaft for rotation where the tensioning shaft includes a slot through which the strap passes. Keyed to the end portions of the shaft are ratchet wheels and associate with the ratchet wheels are pawls that engage and disengage from the teeth of the ratchet wheels by action of a handle mounted, squeezable release bar that selectively displaces slide rods leading to the pawls. The handle will selectively rotate the tensioning shaft depending on the engagement of the pawls with the ratchet wheels. Swinging of the handle through an arc will tension the strap when the free end of the strap is anchored.

Strap Winder Lock
20200377003 · 2020-12-03 ·

A strap winder for a ratchet cargo strap, having a rotating spool for receiving a strap and a winding arm and knob to rotate the spool and wind up a strap on the spool. A sliding locking pin on the winding arm and knob locks the spool from rotation to retain a stored strap on the spool and a plurality of locking apertures in the strap winder frame receive the locking pin to lock the arm and spool from rotation.

A lock tab on the winding arm engages a lock on the knob when the locking pin is inserted into locking aperture on rotated to a locked position.

Device and method for securing and organizing a cargo strap
10843619 · 2020-11-24 ·

A device and method for organizing a cargo strap. The device comprises a plate that is substantially flat and rigid, and a retention strap pivotally attached to the plate and adapted for removably securing the cargo strap about the plate. The plate has a length and a width wherein the length is greater than the width thereby defining a substantially rectangular upper receiving face and an opposing lower receiving face. A portion of the cargo strap is wound around the plate and secured onto the plate by wrapping the retention strap over the cargo strap. A slot may be included on the plate to receive a portion of the cargo strap to secure a distal end of the cargo strap onto the plate.
