TIE DOWN STRAP ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A PLURALITY OF ANCHOR POINTS
20220219595 · 2022-07-14 ·

A tie down strap assembly includes a strap and first and second hook assemblies disposed at respective opposing ends of the strap. The strap is formed of an elastic material. The strap defines a plurality of bores arranged along a length of the strap. Each of the first and second hook assemblies includes an engaging portion and a hook portion extending from the engaging portion. The engaging portion includes first and second sides. The engaging portion defines an opening extending through the first and second sides. The first side includes a mouth defining an aperture to receive a portion of the strap therethrough. The second side includes a boss configured to securely engage one bore of the plurality of bores of the strap. The hook portion is detachably couplable to the engaging portion of the other one of the first and second hook assemblies to interlock the first and second hook assemblies together.

Cargo Tie-Down Monitoring Device
20220242302 · 2022-08-04 ·

The present invention relates to a cargo tie-down monitoring device for transportation vehicles. More specifically, the cargo tie-down monitoring device allows transportation vehicle operators to monitor the status of the straps, chains, cables and other cargo securing equipment in real time; thereby preventing or minimizing cargo from shifting on/or falling from a transportation vehicle. The device includes a base, fasteners, tension pressure sensors, display screen, audio and visual alarms, and a transceiver. By pairing the cargo tie-down monitoring device with an electronic device such as a cell phone, transportation vehicle operators can monitor the status of the tie-down equipment and be notified if tension or pressure changes on any of the tie-down equipment.

Cargo Strap Gun Assembly
20220299289 · 2022-09-22 ·

A cargo strap gun assembly includes a cylinder that has an open end and a closed end. The cylinder is substantially hollow and the open end can receive a cargo strap. A plunger is slidably positioned in the cylinder and the plunger is compressible into a loaded position. The plunger is biased into a fired position to launch the cargo strap outwardly from the cylinder thereby facilitating the cargo strap to be launched over a load. A cocking mechanism is slidably integrated into the cylinder to urge the plunger into the loaded position. A trigger is movably integrated into the cylinder to facilitate the plunger to be biased into the fired position.

A flatbed rolling tarp system is a tarp covered structure that retracts and rolls from front to rear and rear to front or a track that is installed on a flatbed trailer. It's only purpose is to cover cargo. My innovation is to integrate pulleys and related components with main bow(s) enabling driver/operator (using ropes from the ground) to pull tie-downs from one side of system, up and over pulleys then release them on opposite side of system.

Pulleys will be swivelable, removable, relocatable, and lockable.

Strap Winding Device
20220063478 · 2022-03-03 ·

A strap winding device for efficiently and easily winding up a strap such as a cargo strap after use. The strap winding device generally includes a main body which is adapted to rest upon a structure such as a trailer on a vehicle such as a truck. A mount may be connected to the main body, with the mount being removably inserted within an opening on the trailer, such as a trailer stake pocket. A winder is rotatably connected to the mount by a sleeve, with the winder being operable to rotate a reel onto which the strap may be wound. The reel includes a pair of prongs which are tapered towards each other to ease removal of the strap after winding.

HIGH SPEED WINCH REWIND ADAPTER
20210229949 · 2021-07-29 ·

This disclosure describes a high speed winch rewind adapter for quickly rewinding a loading strap. In one implementation, the adapter includes a body having a volume sized to at least partially surround an annular end of the winch. The annular end is coupled with a ratchet mechanism of the winch and having at least one hole for receiving a winch bar. A drive connector is positioned both within the volume of the body and external to the volume of the body, the drive connector external to the volume of the body having an external profile to receive a torque, and the drive connector within the volume of the body insertable into the annular end of the winch for alignment to the axis of rotation. A coupling mechanism synchronizes the drive connector to the annular end such that both the drive connector and the annular end rotate simultaneously.

An apparatus to lower or raise landing gear on a trailer or semi-truck comprising a tool having a center body with a coupling device and a power coupling that is selectively engageable with a rotatable projection on the landing gear. The power coupling is operatively engaged with a worm gear within the center body and thereby with the coupling device. A powered drill is engaged with the power coupling and is actuated to rotate the power coupling in a first direction or in a second direction. The power coupling rotates the worm gear, which rotates the coupling device and thereby the projection on the landing gear. Rotation of the projection in one direction lowers the landing gear. Rotation of the projection in the opposite direction raises the landing gear. The user selects to raise or lower the landing gear simply by causing the drill chuck to rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Strapping device

A strapping device to secure an item, the strapping device comprising an elongate rod extending along a longitudinal rod axis, the rod having a proximal end, an opposed distal end and a central portion extending between the proximal end and the distal end, a handle coupled to the proximal end of the elongate rod, a strap arm coupled to the distal end of the elongate rod, a wound strap positioned around at least a portion of the strap arm, and at least one retainer positioned on the strap arm at a desired position relative to the elongate rod and configured to guide the strap.

DOUBLE-ENDED RELEASE WRENCH FOR A TIE DOWN RATCHET STRAP
20210237234 · 2021-08-05 ·

A release wrench for a tie down ratchet strap, having an elongated body with a first wrench end positioned at a first end of the elongated body, and a second wrench end positioned at a second end of the elongated body. Each of the first and second wrench ends are notched such that either end can be inserted into the rotating ratchet of a tie down ratchet strap such that rotation of the release wrench causes the rotating ratchet to move. The first wrench end extends in a direction perpendicular to the elongated body of the release wrench, and the second wrench end extends in a direction parallel to the elongated body of the release wrench. As a result, the wrench can be positioned at four different (i.e.: 90 degrees apart) positions when the release wrench is first turned to cause the rotating tie down ratchet to move. This provides a simple and effective way to “un-stick” a dirty ratchet by prying it loose. Since the release wrench can conveniently be positioned initially in one of four different orientations, the wrench can be operated in conditions where there is little clearance for hands or tools, such as underneath or around vehicle trailers or cargo containers.
