Loose layered build components and vehicle front end assembly strategy
A headlight assembly for assembly adjacent at least one skin component of a vehicle includes a housing supporting at least one light and a lens attached to the housing. The lens includes at least one attribute for engaging the at least one skin component. The attribute may be a pin or an aperture formed in the lens which may extend a distance from a surface of the lens for guiding the skin component. The skin component may be a grille and the attribute may restrict movement of the headlight assembly relative the grille in a Y-axis direction forming a margin therebetween. The attribute may be a channel including a bracket for guiding the skin component, for instance, a facia into the channel. The attribute may be a cavity formed in the lens for receiving an overlapping portion of the skin component, for example, a grille.
Front Grill with LED Module Lighting System
Disclosed herein is a vehicle accessory grill comprising a plurality of edge protrusions, a front surface, a rear surface, a plurality of air apertures, and a plurality of lighting apertures. The grill also comprises a lighting system which may comprise a control module and a plurality of lamps. The plurality of lamps may include a plurality of high beam lamps, a plurality of low beam lamps, a plurality of daytime running lamps, and a plurality of turn lamps.
Portable Light Apparatus For Vehicle-Related Uses Including As Temporary Headlight Or Taillight
A portable light apparatus for vehicle-related uses including as a temporary headlight or taillight is disclosed. The portable light includes an adjustable light beam, a swivel joint or hinge for aiming the light beam, and multiple attachment means to facilitate use on various types of vehicles and in a wide variety of situations. An exemplary embodiment of the herein disclosed portable light apparatus comprises a magnetic base for attaching to a vehicle, the magnetic base having one or more magnets and forming a strap slot of receiving a vehicle attachment strap; a light assembly having a light fixture, a battery, a switch, a lens cap, and a lens cap base; and, a hinged joint adjustably connecting the magnetic base to the light assembly and for aiming the portable light apparatus, the hinged joint having a tightening means for securing the hinged joint in place once aimed. The magnetic base may further include a latch for securing the light assembly to the magnetic base when in a closed position and an adhesive attachment for attaching to a vehicle.
Lighting device for vehicle
A lighting device to be mounted on a vehicle has a light source, a projection lens having an optical axis, and disposed so as to allow at least some of light emitted from the light source to pass therethrough, a holder that holds the projection lens, a pivot shaft provided at one of the projection lens and the holder and extending in a direction intersecting with the optical axis of the projection lens, a bearing provided at the other of the projection lens and the holder and that holds the pivot shaft, and an aiming mechanism configured to pivot the projection lens relative to the holder about the pivot shaft.
Light-device mounting structure of vehicle
A light-device mounting structure of a vehicle includes a headlight unit including a lamp housing accommodating a light source. Support shafts are provided in the lamp housing and are supported in a light cover. In the light-device mounting structure, the support shafts are covered with support-shaft protective members. The support-shaft protective members are engaged non-rotatably relative to the support shafts. The light cover has fitting holes, and the support shafts are fitted into the fitting holes through the support-shaft protective members.
VEHICLE LAMP ASSEMBLY
A vehicle lamp assembly is provided herein. The lamp assembly includes a housing including one or more light sources therein. The housing is configured to couple with a backing plate. A first electrical connector is disposed on the housing. A second electrical connector is attached to the backing plate and is coupled with a vehicle power source. The first electrical connector is coupled with the second electrical connector as the housing is inserted into the backing plate.
LIGHT MODULE FASTENING ASSEMBLY
A snap wedge assembly is provided that includes a ball stud having a ball end configured for engagement with a light module, and an insert coupled with the ball stud, the insert comprising an insert first end and an insert second end, a plurality of wedges, each having wedge side surfaces and a wedge top surface that extend longitudinally from the insert first end towards the insert second end, wherein the wedge top surface tapers outward as it extends towards the ball end, and a plurality of snap fingers, the snap fingers each including an elongated flexible portion and a latching portion.
Positioning assembly and method for vehicle components
An exemplary positioning assembly for a vehicle component includes a hook structure of a lamp assembly, and a flange of a fascia. The flange is received within a slot of the hook structure to position the fascia relative to the lamp assembly. An exemplary positioning method for a vehicle component includes holding a flange of a fascia within a slot of a hook structure. The holding positions a portion of the fascia relative to a lamp assembly that includes the hook structure.
Headlamp fastening system for motor vehicles and method
A headlamp fastening system for a vehicle is provided herein. The headlamp fastening system includes a support structure, a headlamp structure, and an alignment element. The alignment element is configured to align and fix the headlamp structure with the support structure with respect to the z-direction of the vehicle. The alignment element holds the sup port structure and the headlamp in an alignment position. In the alignment position the support structure and the headlamp structure are relatively displaceable in the x-, y-, and z-direction relative to one another. The alignment element fixes the support structure and the headlamp in the fixed position, wherein, upon the alignment element fixing the support structure and the headlamp structure relative to one another with respect to the z-direction, the support structure and the headlamp structure simultaneously become fixed relative to one another in the x- and y-direction.
SIMULTANEOUS LASER WELDING APPARATUS OF A VEHICLE LIGHT AND SIMULTANEOUS LASER WELDING METHOD OF A VEHICLE LIGHT
